Each document type has its own unique approval process, which can involve multiple levels of hierarchy and complex workflows. Additionally, new types of documents with their respective approval chains are regularly introduced.
We wanted to build a custom solution that would -
Automate and streamline approval workflows for diverse document types, accommodating both simple and complex hierarchical approval structures.
Accommodate the management of new types of documents with their approval workflows without any code changes
Ensure organization-wide access to approved documents, with advanced search capabilities, including the ability to search for related terms and metadata.
Provide a robust auditing trail, maintaining a clear history of document actions for compliance and transparency.

The project began with a comprehensive requirements gathering phase for 4 weeks, during which the system features were fully specified, and wireframes were created to ensure a shared understanding among all stakeholders. This detailed upfront work laid a solid foundation for the development process.
Following this, the development phase was executed using Agile methodology. The technical team collaborated closely with the product/business team from our side to refine user stories, which were then implemented in 15-day sprints. IdeaCrest assigned a dedicated Project Manager for the duration of the project, who served as the main point of contact and consistently responded to emails and chat messages with great speed. Thanks to the initial requirements gathering phase, features were clearly defined, resulting in minimal delays in delivery timelines.

Our flagship LCA calculation platform is a modern, microservices based cloud-native web application running on AWS cloud. The platform needed to be highly scalable serving thousands of customer requests per second.
