The certified Magento developers was dealing with the current store service and its development at the frontend and backend levels.

They implemented completely new layout, absolutely new advanced product configurator, static content management and provided full integration with the ERP system and integration with marketing automation tools. Of course, there was also scheduled time for component and integration testing.

The final product of cooperation with IDEA commerce is a completely new, fully functional online store based on the Magento 2 platform. We are very pleased with the result of the work. The servers are working very well, and the website itself is aesthetic and user-friendly.

They cooperated closely with us at every stage of the work. Before the system was put into service, there was time for detailed testing.

They also provided implementation training. The IDEA erp system is extremely intuitive, so each employee could start working with the system immediately after implementation.

We worked with 6 people in total: first with a representative of the sales department, then with 2 developers, a project tester and an experienced implementer. The whole project was coordinated by the project manager.

The work of our team has become more efficient. We save time and resources. The flow of information between departments has improved and we have eliminated human errors that we could not avoid without automation.

Without increasing employment, we were able to complete more orders and activities. We are very satisfied with the IDEAerp system. It was the best choice we could make.

Miloo Home is a high-end furniture manufacturer and retailer with over 12 brick-and-mortar store and an e-commerce store. It has been active on the polish market since 2009, before named "House&More". I am an e-commerce and IT manager for Miloo Home and together with my team we have been in charge of the project development.

Before partnering with IDEA commerce we had an old e-commerce store on Magento 1. The previous website has been implemented incorrectly, required a lot of fixes and due to source code modification it has not allowed us to develop it. The goal of the project was to modernise our current e-commerce environment based on Magento 2 and obtain a platform that will support our constant growth and will allow us to face future challenges.

After the conception phase and after setting the initial requirements for the new platform, our team has met with many certified Magento 2 developers. The most important factors for us were the time to launch the new platform, the costs, market recommendations and the professional approach and background of the developers. After comparing the available offers, we have decided to choose IDEA commerce as they offered a moderate cost solution and we were happy with the skills and knowledge of the developer that made the initial valuation. Moreover, one of the companies in our capital group has been working with IDEA for a while and we received a recommendation from that company.

Before signing the contract, we have created a list of goals and functionalities that we would want in our new Magento 2 store with estimated time/cost and priority per functionality. We used the Magento Box theme store as the basis for the development of the platform and we used that document to track our tasks and progress.

It took around 3 months for IDEA to set-up the Magento Box tailored for Miloo's needs. In the same time, IDEA's team has already started working on additional functionalities. We have launched the platform in May 2020 (after 5 months of development) and it has been successful despite small issues (mainly front-end and some SEO issues), none of which caused the website to become inoperational. We were satisfied with how unproblematic the launch was and, currently, the website is still in constant development.

For the project, we had been assigned a project leader, a back-end developer, a front-end developer and a project tester. However, throughout the months the team was assisted by other developers, who helped in resolving some issued or with higher workloads. Since recently, we had been assigned a new a back-end developer and another front-end developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The new website is much more user-friendly than the old one and is performing great on mobile, which was one our key priorities. Moreover, we have observed an increase in traffic (except for the first 2 months after launch) and increase in sales. The servers are performing great and we have not seen any stoppages of the platform activity.

IDEA commerce uses a great project management tool that allows us to transparently track the development of the project and developers time and easily introduce new tasks. We have weekly stand-ups that allow us to be in touch with the team and set our priorities. In terms of project management, the project leader has always been available to resolve any doubts and issues and has been guiding the developers in the right direction. In terms of timeliness, that is the only concern and the team has managed to miss some deadlines for the set tasks.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team definitely has a lot of experience in building Magento 2 e-commerce store and has robust knowledge on integrating it with our current IT environment.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Overall, we are satisfied with how the project has been going. Outside of the project development, the biggest concern that we experienced was with the legal department and the need to adjust the contract after several months of cooperation.

All changes were designed to adapt the existing e-commerce to the needs of the relevant segment, which was the B2B segment. At the same time, it was also necessary to start seo activities and building content, so close cooperation with the other provider was required.

At the beginning I was led by the sales director. After that, the project director became the main point of contact for me. There were also two back-end developers and a test specialist. I was also guaranteed a free and unlimited helpdesk.

Only some of the planned tasks have been implemented, although quantitatively there were many of them. Unfortunately, we did not manage to implement many important changes, because in the event of a pandemic and the consequences of a decrease in turnover, the management board of the publishing house decided to close the e-commerce project.

They have a lot of experience building robust e-commerce websites. Their team was patient enough to teach us about the best ways to use Magento 2, and they were responsive to all our needs.

Złote Wyprzedaże is a flash-sales company established in 2010. We later restructured and sold it to Vente Privee Group, which is an international company with a presence in Europe, Mexico, and a few locations in the US. We are one of the biggest flash-sales players in the world.

They were our secondary partner; we have a core Magento development team, but we wanted to have a second line for this project. We wanted the flexibility to use as many developers as needed.

We started working with IDEA07 in 2016. The collaboration isn’t as intensive as it was when we needed a lot of development resources in the beginning. However, anytime we have a big task that can be outsourced, we go to IDEA07.

We’re very happy with the team. The collaboration has been a positive experience in general. If I were to go back to 2016 with the knowledge I have today, I wouldn’t change my decision to hire them.

They’ve been very responsive—we’ve communicated through video calls on a daily basis. They could work with any kind of client. Our teams are 300 kilometers apart, and we’ve been working as though we were sitting in the same room. 

Now, we have a 24/7 emergency line with them for ERP tasks. We have our own emergency team for the Magento shop, so we don’t go to IDEA07 for that.

It would be great if they reduced resource rotation and assigned more senior developers. This is a problem with development companies globally because there are fewer people working in the area than what the market demands. I’ve encountered this with every company I’ve ever met.
