I’m an independent contractor and CFO for multiple organizations specializing in digital assets and marketing.

What challenge were you trying to address with Idea Catalyst?

We didn’t know the digital marketing space well, and Idea Catalyst understood it much more than we did. We needed someone to get on the phone and talk to us about how digital marketing would work, especially regarding SEO.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with keywords, and we’ve continued to refine that. They develop landing pages for us surrounding those keywords. All of the content is usable and isn’t hidden. We’ve run a few Facebook and Google Ads, but we haven’t done much in that space, and our focus has been on organic search rankings. 

We storyboard everything out, and then we give all of that to Idea Catalyst, and they run with it and build campaigns from the stories we give them.

We work with 3–4 individuals, including a project manager.

We found them through a Google search initially. We’ve used Idea Catalyst before on a couple of different projects.

We’ve invested between $50,000–$200,000 with Idea Catalyst. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2012, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We rank number one in almost every keyword that we’ve ever wanted. 

How did Idea Catalyst perform from a project management standpoint?

They provide excellent project management. They always meet our expectations, and everything has been on time and within budget. We use Ontraport and our internal project management software. We communicate via Telegram, Zoom, or Skype. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re constantly improving and set very reasonable expectations that they always meet or exceed. We know that when we set a goal with Idea Catalyst, they’ll help us get there. Idea Catalyst is always upfront and honest about whether or not they think our ideas are possible. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We would appreciate more consistent and better reporting to see our improvement and what other competitors are doing.

Tripalong is one of the worlds fastest growing Travel Search Engines and I am the founder and CEO of Tripalong.

We are competing against multi billion dollar companies like expedia, booking.com and hotels.com and we weren't expecting that much when it came to organic traffic.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found them through a friend who spoke very highly of Idea Catalyst. We were looking for someone around us, someone who we could meet occasionally. We decided to speak with them, and they blew us away. We knew we had to give them a chance.

Since our website was new, we wanted someone to take care of the indexing and since the website is really huge, we needed someone who understood how to create the right format for the sitemaps etc. We also needed someone to help and explain what we could to get past huge websites like tripadvisor.com and booking.com

We had our account manager, our SEO Manager and Rishi communicated with us.

We get about 3 million visitors to our website each month, which is way more than what we expected.

There were no strict deadlines when it came to our project. But the reporting was always on time.

Their in-depth understanding of how search engines work and their ability to get things moving quick.

We hired them to fix our SEO. We had a lot of content on the website but wasn't ranking for the topics.

Previous Case Studies were promising and we looked up a couple of references, all spoke very highly of them.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

When we started with them we had a Domain Authority of 5. Paisabazaar and bank bazaar, who were our biggest competitors had a DA of 70 and 75. In less than two years we had a domain authority of 72 and traffic rose some 2500% and since then our traffic has been doubling every year.

We used to receive a monthly report with all the work that was done and the results and what was going to be accomplished in the next month. We were very with the reporting and the deliverables.

The time they take to understand client's business. They focus on business goals rather than only focussing meaningless SEO metrics.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They are just perfect the way they are.

Glide SUP is a leading paddle board manufacturer in the US, and I work as a Marketing Head in the company.

We were having trouble promoting our brand and products. With a low domain authority, the challenge was to generate high-authority backlinks from relevant websites against top competitors while also maintaining our brand reputation.

We found them through a referral.

We saw a lot of boost in our rankings, including the first page rankings for some of our primary keywords, and they also generated lots of high-authority backlinks from relevant websites.

The project management was smooth. We had access to project dashboard where we could check rankings along with monthly updates with all the accomplished goals.

Their link building strategies were what impressed us the most. We gained a lot of benefits from them even after the completion of the project. Their seo strategies are truly future-oriented and help generate traffic, which is what I loved the most about them.

The results we had were more than what we initially expected at Glide SUP. There's no flaw I can find in their project management and results. It was satisfactory!
