Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of marketing for Habitat for Humanity Mid-Ohio.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with IAMedia?

We hired IAMedia to create a video for our affiliate’s 30th-anniversary video. We needed it to be displayed at our sports event to commemorate the impact we’ve had on our city, donors, and stakeholders.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We outlined the main points we wanted the video to cover and gave the agenda to IAMedia. They conducted interviews with a carte blanche approach, so we didn’t have to do much scripting work with them. The video primarily consisted of the one-on-one interviews interspersed with stock photos of our affiliate and some supergraphics. Their team created a condensed, two-minute version of the video, as well.  

What is the team composition?

They provided a team of around three people. Josh (Producer, Director, & Cinematographer, IAMedia) was our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with IAMedia?

I’d known Josh locally, so I spoke to a few people who had worked with his team in the past before selecting IAMedia.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent under $10,000. As a nonprofit, we needed to be particular about the budget and they were accommodating.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–October 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They produced a remarkable video archive for our company. It was very well received at the anniversary event, and we’ve been able to re-use it time and time again. Our team has displayed the video at various meetings, tours, and other events and the reaction has always been positive.

We’ve also seen a significant amount of traffic on our social media channels and Vimeo account due to the popularity of the video. The shorter version of the video IAMedia produced has also been favorably received online.

How did IAMedia perform from a project management standpoint?

Their professional approach was spectacular. Arriving early and engaging courteously with our members, their team was easy to work with. They stuck to the plan we put together and everything was delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They took exceptional strides on our behalf. As a non-profit, we valued that they worked with our budget and went above and beyond for our project. I’ve used other vendors in the past and my experience with IAMedia was second to none.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They truly delivered exactly what we envisioned, so there is nothing they could have improved.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t hold back on the communication. If you tell them exactly what you want, they’ll be able to deliver it.
