I created our website myself 6 years ago, and it was quite an eye sore. Now that we could afford to so so, we wanted our website to look modern and more professional. We hired Hype4 to redesign our website frontend in React JS, and that it work well on a mobile device too.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of the project was to modernise our website to help give a more professional impression to our potential users and clients.

SOLUTION

How did you select HYPE4?

We used social media, such as Twitter and Reddit, to ask for potential companies that could help us to get in touch. We received a lot of potential candidates, but Hype4 looked like the most modern and trustworthy to us. We also liked their portfolio of past work.

Describe the project in detail.

Once we selected Hype4, they asked us what we were looking for in a design, and then came back to us with a mockup. We liked the mockup immediately, so they began working on the coding.

They put a dev server online so that we could track their progress in real time. Once they had finished, we spent about a week giving feedback and tweaking the final site. They also helped us with some questions when we were deploying the site on our own servers.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a dedicated designer, and once he had designed the mockup, he went and designed the rest of the website's pages. Once he was done, we were assigned a developer who implemented the design.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We only launched yesterday, but we have had no major issues in production, and so far the feedback from users is overwhelmingly positive.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I think that we worked well together, so I think the workflow as affectice.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They delivered what we asked for in a timely manner. I also liked how they were willing to accept our feedback and implement it once the website was delivered to us.

How did you select HYPE4?

I spent 8 weeks looking at freelancers on Upwork, agencies , design marketplaces like dribble none of which I thought operated with agility I needed as a start up founder. I really bought into Hype4's design system approach to designing SaaS products and it they delivered on that promise.

Describe the project in detail.

The overall scope of the project was to completely redesign the product from scratch, build a new website and a self serve on boarding experience for new users. I sent initial mock ups in excel as wireframes, they created a low fidelity prototype from those mock ups in Invision, we iterated on the low fidelity UX, then chose our final color palette and then the final high fidelity design.

What was the team composition?

I worked with their UI designer and directly with their CEO who acted as both the UX and UI designer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our team just finished coding the new product so there isn't any quantitative feedback at this time. However, we received all positive feedback during user testing and user interviews on the final design.

The main objective of the project was to update the look and feel of our brand. The goal was to completely differentiate our brand from our competitors with a new approach in our industry. Landing page conversions were the focus.

How did you select HYPE4?

It was not a hard decision to choose HYPE4 as the right team for our project after speaking with several other agencies. Based on the merits of their on their portfolio alone I knew they could deliver on the design.

The deciding factor and most important, the team answered every question and addressed every concern in a clear and concise manner from first contact.

Describe the project in detail.

Our objective was to create a completely new look and design with new functionality. Improving conversion rates with an updated design containing a coherent flow and a more palatable call to action.

Basic wireframes were delivered and came to life with a design that has a greater than expected "feel" that is hard to communicate.

What was the team composition?

Contact initiated with the project manager and progressed to the design team and then a developer. The transitions were smooth and there was never an loss of contact, all members were up to date at all times. The transitions were seamless and almost unnoticeable.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Conversion rates have increased dramatically and we now perform higher than industry standard month over month.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication with the HYPE4 team is second to none. So much so as to seem as if they were in house. The use of invisionapp made everything efficient and organized.

HYPE4 understood our objectives and added great value with their insight into current trends and protocols. The team became a key partner in achieving our desired outcome. The level of communication and quality of work left nothing to be desired.

Our main goal was to create a ground-breaking web application for the Polish investment funds market. It would include innovative tools to analyze and monitor investment funds, an interactive basket and portfolio, as well as functionalities based on robo-advisory techniques.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

They were recommended by a company that has worked with them on other interactive projects. There were five other vendors, but HYPE4 presented the highest quality.

Describe the project in detail.

They’re designing and coding the frontend layer of our online platform as well as the custom charts library. The project began with a discovery workshop that let us reach a mutual understanding of business challenges and goals. After they complete each functionality, we test the received part and report errors.

What was the team composition?

The project team has about 12 people, but certain individuals would come and go, depending on the skills needed. HYPE4’s team consist of five people: three web developers, one designer, and one project manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

We plan to launch the platform in the second quarter of 2018. The best recommendation is that we have entrusted HYPE4 with a new project with a higher budget.

How effective was the project management?

The project is being carried out within our expected timeframe. We divided the work into six stages, with sprint workshops every month. We use InVision, Sketch, Basecamp, Trello, and Skype to communicate. So far, we’ve only slightly exceeded the overall budget by about 10%.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

HYPE4 has impressed us with their flexibility. They provide good value for money and quick response to changes in the project. We’ve found that they are truly a result-driven partner.

I’m an engagement manager for a cable television network. I’m responsible for overseeing our online and social efforts.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with HYPE4?

We needed to build a website that we could use as a hub for our video content.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had already had a video player and URL when we approached HYPE4. We asked them to develop the website and create a CMS that we could use to coordinate content publishing. They delivered on that and made additional improvements per our feedback. The completed website includes a home page that displays content teasers to direct people the video page. They also created a tagging system to categorize content and allow users to quickly search for the types videos they want to view.

To ensure the final product included all the UI/UX elements we wanted, we collaborated with them to produce the design layout of the webpage. They’d come to us with a design prototype and make changes relative to our creative team’s feedback. Specifically, they designed a carousel on the website with rotating informational images. We’ve worked with them on three projects and they’ve updated the platform each time.

What is the team composition?

Their CEO was our primary point of contact. We spoke with their designers once, but only to resolve a technical issue.

How did you come to work with HYPE4?

They were referred to me by someone else in our company who had worked with them before. They were said to be affordable and reliable, so I reached out to them.

How much have you invested with them?

In total, we probably spent around €12,000–€15,000 ($14,794–$18,493 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from May 2016–November 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They delivered a product that works the way it’s supposed to and was well-suited to budget. However, the engagement was not without a few issues. First, some of the teasers or images we uploaded to the site suddenly disappeared. At one point, our servers overloaded and the site crashed. That was our fault, but then the main page displayed a certain amount of code that it wasn’t supposed too. Luckily, I contacted HYPE4 and they immediately fixed the issues. They’re really responsive in that way. Once we were able to adequately communicate our needs, they performed very well.

How did HYPE4 perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication and management skills were reasonable considering the nature of the project. Correspondence between us was loose throughout the process. We’d ask them to do a task and they’d agree via phone or email. We didn’t follow a schedule or a management system to track progress. However, the jobs we gave them were somewhat last minute, so that’s likely a reason we never operated in a structured fashion. Their CEO was insightful and I had an excellent experience with him.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The price-to-quality balance was spot on. They’re inexpensive and were able to deliver something fast that also looked good. Some aspects needed a bit more polishing, but we were asking them to work under a lot of pressure. Overall, I’m very happy with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Using a tool like Jira would help structure workflow and facilitate communication. Providing clients with a detailed overview of what’s going on throughout the process would be helpful.

I’m the marketing manager for a children’s television platform. We’re a linear TV channel.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hype4?

We wanted to reach out to our target, which is children. The main goal is to attract them to our channel.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created the website, applications, and any other assets we need for the campaign, including the concepts and graphic design. The main goal is to attract children and give them fun content to play with. For example, they can upload a picture and add television-related graphics and stickers. From a marketing perspective, we then encourage the children to share them. The photos that they can create in the application should be so good and funny enough to be shared on online, on social media, etc.

They also did another campaign for us and more than one application. There was a Christmas application with a Christmas tree styler. They created applications with all options of desktop, iOS, and Android.

What is the team composition?

There was usually 1 point of contact to manage the project. If I needed to deal with the technical stuff, it was possible to reach out to the technical guys directly.

How did you come to work with Hype4?

Usually, when we want a marketing campaign for the channel, we arrange a pitch and invite 3 or more creative agencies. Then they come up with the creative concept for the campaign. Someone showed me an application that Hype4 had developed. After seeing it, I thought it was a good idea to invite them to take part in our pitch. That’s how we started to collaborate with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2014 until December 2017. The Christmas campaign was from October 2017 until December 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The Christmas application is live. It was introduced in 2016 and it was so successful that we repeated it in 2017 as an extension. It’s really good and there aren’t any technical issues. Everything was delivered on time. If we had any requests, such as for extra decorations or extra functions, they were really flexible. They delivered all our needs very quickly.

The feedback was that everything was good; it worked, and it was fun. We had a lot of kids who took part in the competition and were engaged. I’m very happy that the channel’s ratings improved. The application helped us because kids play online and watch TV at the same time. Our main goal was that our TV ratings grow, and they did.

How did Hype4 perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very flexible and they react very quickly. They’re even available during after hours. We used email, phone calls, and Skype calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very innovative. They can create solutions from a creative point of view, but also using new technology. Everything is up to date.

They worked in alignment with the technology we have because it’s a corporation. We’re not so flexible. Sometimes we can’t implement the new technologies because our websites aren’t so up to date. They are able to work around that and I appreciate that.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re very flexible and they approach every project individually. They can work with the different projects differently, which is an advantage.
