Introduce your business and what you do there. 

I’m the president of a 3D printer manufacturing company based in Canada.


What challenge were you trying to address with Hunter Canada?

We hired Jibran (Owner, Hunter Canada) to improve our SEO. As with any digital marketing project, our main objectives were to increase the number of unique visitors to our site and convert more leads.


What was the scope of their involvement? 

Jibran initially performed a site audit, using Google Analytics and other webmaster tools to show us where our site stood. After identifying a number of flow issues, he modified the site structure so that our content was more accessible to Google crawlers. This involved consolidating sparse product pages to beef up the descriptions, reducing duplicate content, and proposing several keywords to target.

One of the most effective changes was integrating our existing blog with our site. Previously, our blog was outside of our company site domain, but we didn’t realize how much this limited our impact. By centralizing the blog under a single domain, Jibran was able to streamline our SEO efforts, boosting our content with multiple long-copy blog posts to target our keywords.

Other services have included ad spend consultation, backlink and earned media assessment, and strategy development to better leverage our existing media coverage. Currently, Jibran continues to manage our SEO, providing reports and advice as necessary.

What is the team composition?  

I’ve only ever worked with Jibran.

How did you come to work with Hunter Canada? 

At the time, Jibran had just finished a project for another 3D printing company and reached out to me to continue working within the space. I checked out his past work, saw the remarkable change that he pushed through, and felt that it was an interesting opportunity for both of us.

How much have you invested with them? 

We spend about $3,000 a month.

What is the status of this engagement? 

Their work started in May 2017 and is ongoing. Although we’re not collaborating as actively as before, Jibran is still available whenever we need him. Every once in a while, I’ll have a question about Google’s algorithm changes or bring up an issue with the site, and he’ll address them promptly.


What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Jibran’s efforts on our blog content and keyword rankings have been the most effective drivers of visitor growth. Within the first six months, we saw a 50% increase in organic site traffic, and it’s only continued to grow since then. 

How did Hunter Canada perform from a project management standpoint?

Jibran always has a plan and works independently. The only inputs I give him are to educate him on our products and business specifics. From there, he sets up the milestones and makes a point to tell us what he’s doing and how long each item will take. In terms of communication, we primarily speak via phone and email, and he also provides a monthly progress report.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

Jibran knows what he’s doing. He has demonstrated confidence in his field and proposes SEO strategies that are beyond anything I could think of. Moreover, he’s an excellent communicator who’s willing to clarify and translate technical details into terms that I can easily understand. 

Are there any areas they could improve? 

No, nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Get your expectations in writing so that both sides are clear on the deliverables. We typically sort that out before beginning a task.
