First, there was a complete overhaul of the existing company website from a Word Press to Shopify format. James handled the website setup, front-end development, provided expertise on the what the user interface should and would feel like, and created and uploaded hundreds of product renders with descriptions! WOW! 

Second, James set up Outlook 365 and company wide email addresses using the website domain for all managers and employees to be able to access on their mobile device. 

Third, and most importantly, James developed a strategic marketing campaign using SEO optimization tools that only industry experts know how to access. With this "secret sauce," we were able to grow our monthly online sales from $500/month up to $10k/month! This ongoing strategy includes a monthly review and optimization of the google crawl feature to maintain website efficiency and also conversion tracking w/ analytics to understand where customers and sales are coming from. Double WOW!

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The first measurable outcome was the amount of time that was being used to update the website with new products, remove old products, and fulfill orders decreased drastically. Not only did they take less time, but they cost less money because James made it easy for us to do simple product updates on our own - something we had to outsource to our previous website manager under a different format. 

Second, our website went from being ranked in the 60tth percentile of websites in our industry to the 90th percentile. Our organic sales growth doubled just off of this metric! 

Third, and most impressive, using htmulls ppc, targeting, and "secret sauce" strategy, we took our monthly sales from averaging $500 per month to averaging between $5-10k per month! We have seen as much as a 20x increase since the beginning!

All roads went through James, the owner of htmull. Not only did he have his hand on each deliverable, but he personally did the website rebuild and online strategy himself. In addition, the team at htmull truly enjoys doing their work - so much that often times tasks were accomplished and delivered way ahead of schedule and on nights and weekends. Similarly, any after-hour questions or concerns were almost always responded to before the next business day!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Most website and digital strategy teams are found in major cities and have a used car dealership kind of vibe to them. I have dealt with and parted ways with multiple all previous teams because they just didn't preform. There was too much tech jargon and financial obligations before even getting started. James was the complete opposite. 

Not only was I impressed with the results in sales growth, but I was also impressed with how James and the team at htmull break down the technology, strategy, and cost so that the average small business owner knows exactly what they are getting. I think this unique quality can only be explained by their commitment to honesty, integrity, and passion for the work they do. 

These qualities are very rare in organizations today, so it has been refreshing and relieving to find an owner and team that exemplify them on a day to day basis.

Htmull could have advertised their services to ALL small business owners nation wide so we didn't have to spend thousands of dollars using all the other guys before finally finding a company that works! :)

We had an antiquated website that was over 7 years old, we contracted htmull to redesign the website, create us a google my business, and analyze our google PPC. We had been spending a lot of money on PPC and felt like we were receiving no reward. Since then with htmulls management we've upped the PPC investment and are actually getting traffic that converts.

We've seen an uptick in organic traffic, ranking higher for our targeted keywords, more conversions, and higher customer retention.
