Are there any areas for improvement or something HTML Pro could have done differently?

They provided a proposal and a scope of work for off -page and on-page SEO, based on that proposal we went ahead with the work, however after 3 months, all they did was generate loads of backlinks and did not do any of the other items outlined in the scope of work. These backlinks turned out to be of poor quality with regards to Google search criteria, potentially penalizing our SEO performance. We have asked for feedback on this and they have not provided any response. Very disappointing.

We wanted to promote our online courses with paid ads on Google, Facebook, and Linkedin.

How did you select HTML Pro and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking for a professional but affordable company that can create and manage ad campaigns for us. We were looking at other reviews (also on Clutch) which was not a good idea, I may say completely wrong because we feel they are mostly FAKE.

We wanted to set up a clear ads strategy, let HTML Pro create and run our campaigns.

3 people from the vendor were involved.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcome was ZERO! We've spent 2 months, paid 1,798 USD and our experience with HTML Pro was a nightmare. It was not just a waste of time but a waste of money too. The only "achievements" within two months time were:

1. Setting up Basecamp as an online collaboration tool
2. Dozens of e-mails sent back and forward
3. Two short video calls
4. Reminding us to pay the bills, while we paid already
5. Two shocking cheap examples of how Ads could look like
6. Fixing one little bug in our Google Analytics account Within 2 months' time, the HTML Pro Team was not able to set up our accounts on Facebook nor on Linkedin.

No FB Pixel, No Linkedin Insight-Tag was installed nor working. Within 2 months' time, and spending 1,800 USD, the vendor still didn't understand our corporate identity, nor our strategy, nor our needs, no nothing. After two months we've stopped wasting our time and money.

We've asked for a 50% refund because they didn't even achieve the first-month work promised. They refused it! We feel like we've been SCAMMED. The only good guy in their team was the accountant, asking us to pay our bill a few days after we've quit our contract.

I really wish there would be a minus-star rating available to get rid of their fake reviews.

Completely unprofessional. They even denied a strategy call to let them understand what we want and what we don't want.

The only thing they were worried about was our corporate identity. "So we have to use your colors?" or "Can we use at least one other color". It was our worst experience ever!

This company should NOT be allowed to offer such a service.

I needed a dev partner who could do custom code for web and mobile app dev.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We developed our graphics in Sketch, and HTML Pro put it into place and did all the coding for our website. The platform is for small business owners looking for financing. We connect them with multiple lending options and provide education on how to better use their money. HTML Pro works on the backend and also our algorithms, as needed. User can login through Google and share accounts across seven other social media platforms.

The site is written in HTML5, and they integrated Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) into the app so it loads instantly. They’re currently working on the Android app and will then develop the iOS version. HTML Pro also does SEO and marketing, such as lead magnets and mailing lists. Whenever we write an article, they review it them push it out so people read it.

The team size varies, but we always have our project manager. We’ve worked with up to seven people, ranging from developers to SEO experts.

We wanted a company that was offshore (to save money) but that had an office in New York so that we could meet face-to-face, as needed. I reviewed a few companies online and found three, but HTML Pro was the most code-oriented, so I hired them.

In less than six months of being live, our site’s domain authority has reached 13. We have over 50 quality links connected to our content pages, which load in under two seconds. Their work has been great, and they always quickly address any of my concerns until I’m satisfied.

They’re available 24/7. They use Basecamp to store project data, and we communicate via phone, text, email, Google Chat, and video conferencing.

I am the owner and president of an IT company within the health sector. We help our clients develop electric medical record applications and software.

What challenge were you trying to address with HTML Pro?

I contracted with HTML Pro because a client of mine needed to develop an application in the health sector.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I received the scope from my client and acted as a liaison with HTML Pro. We relied on their team to develop the project from end to end. HTML Pro crafted the original mockups before continuing with the full development of the platform on iOS, including the frontend and backend.

My client operates a number of health clinics, and the app was targeted toward patients at these facilities. They can book appointments with doctors and communicate with those doctors through the app. It also allows them to complete all of the necessary paperwork before arriving at the clinic. Once they come in, patients have to present a QR code on the app, and once that is scanned, the clinic has full access to all of the patients’ information. Patients also have access to their prescriptions and medical reports within the app.

I’ve worked with one project manager, but there is a larger team that includes frontend and backend developers, as well.

How did you come to work with HTML Pro?

I worked with HTML Pro several years ago during a web development project that included Laravel and WordPress. They performed well during that engagement, so I wanted to explore their app development abilities. I considered a few other vendors, but HTML Pro offered a reasonable price and high-quality work. Further, I knew I could develop a trusting relationship with them that would last for the long term.

I’m expecting to pay around $80,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in July 2017 and remains ongoing. The application is roughly 80% complete. We anticipate a December 2018 launch.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There is still plenty of testing to do, and a few features still to fully develop, but the app responds well in its current state. I am encouraged by HTML Pro’s progress and the quality of their work.

How did HTML Pro perform from a project management standpoint?

They are courteous and communicative through emails, Skype calls, and Basecamp messages. I am aware of all documentation and timelines. We’ve had only one delay because I was traveling and unable to facilitate discussion between my client and HTML Pro. Otherwise, we’ve had no trouble.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I am particularly appreciative of their cost and quality. Other vendors I considered quoted this project at a rate two times higher than HTML Pro’s. Not only do they offer the most reasonable price, but the quality of their work is also top-notch.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They have no trouble meeting deadlines, but I believe they could expedite certain timelines. I appreciate it when vendors take the initiative to exceed my expectations.

For development projects in general, it’s important to have a clear idea of your needs and find a vendor that can document those needs and then deliver them.
