The HR Source provided staff recruitment services for an HR company.
The HR Source failed to deliver positive results, much to the client's dismay. The team wasn't responsive and easily accessible throughout the partnership, and internal stakeholders were particularly disappointed in the team's lack of responsibility and accountability.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Growth and success, but those weren't achieved. The company is now down to 3 people, not including the owner. I’ve seen a total of 6 people quit within a short period of time and they are constantly making efforts to rehire to fill those positions, just for the person to quit within a week. The owner does no self-reflection to make the necessary changes that could increase the rate of retention within her company. She does things her way, which is not always the right way, and prevents the company from growing. She is old-fashioned and stuck in ancient times. She does not adapt to change nor does she welcome it.
She asked each of us to change our personal LinkedIn pages to be used as a hiring page for The HR SOURCE. She shoots down fresh and new initiatives and contributions. She uses her one trusted subordinate to conduct her quarterly reviews on her behalf. No roadmap to success, training plan, or corrective actions are implemented, and they do not have the budget to pay their employees. So if you do not hit the ground running to provide revenue for the company, they will let you go because they cannot afford to pay you.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
No. They weren't good communicators. The owner was not readily available for communication and was extremely busy most days, often travels and is not very responsive. Most days, she uses her trusted subordinate, who has no work-life balance and jumps through hurdles to please her, to communicate with the rest of the team on her behalf.
She doesn’t define roles and levels of hierarchy. Knowledge of systems and programs are scarce, so when there is a problem with logins or system usage errors and needs, there is often no one to call for help.
What was your primary form of communication with The HR Source?
Virtual Meeting
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
There was nothing impressive about their work. It’s a lot of confusion. Performance expectations are unrealistic. Still, your job is constantly threatened when you are unable to meet performance due to having to jump through so many hurdles just to get your job done. There is no job security. Every day your job is in the air. This company will not succeed due to a lack of real management, no real training, a lack of trust in employees, and the owner constantly micromanages through the one person she uses to relay all of her messages.
She doesn’t communicate with you directly besides approving or declining your emailed requests to make a decision in your role. As a recruiter, do not have access to clients and cannot communicate with them. Everything has to go through the owner and her trusted subordinate who communicates on her behalf, which is also time consuming when attempting to recruit for that client.
Are there any areas for improvement or something {provider_name} could have done differently?
I strongly advise against working for The HR SOURCE. I worked there for 6 months and, during my time there, they hired 4 people who each quit expeditiously, some within the same week. I would have done the same if I didn’t need to work for the time-being. Here are the reasons: the owner is an extreme micromanager. You are granted no trust to perform the duties of your role. Everything and every decision has to go through the owner for approval before proceeding in your work, which is time consuming and delays performance.
Each employee is easily dispensable. Pay is minimal. They have no clue how to manage human capital or how to capitalize from the knowledge and skills that employees could potentially bring to the table, if allowed. The owner and her trusted subordinate are not open to correction on their end, but will turn everything into a problem you are responsible for correcting. You will not be able to realistically meet their expectations.
The owner requires a weekly team meeting to talk to everyone about things that have never been shared or trained on with more than one person, so a lot of times you will sit in the meeting clueless if she is not speaking to something that you directly handle or have been informed about, and it’s time consuming and pointless. They also lack empathy for personal issues and will use what you share against you as a reason why you are “unable to perform” to their standards. Quite frankly, the company has extremely poor character, low integrity and I highly do not recommend.
