I'm a member of the board of directors for a collegiate sports organization for alumni.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Honeycommb?

We wanted a communication tool that could reach the 10,000+ members of our organization as efficiently as possible.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Honeycommb launched a social community app for iOS and Android. It has a wholistic design for members to interact, and the club can communicate with everyone at once. They did all our development, as well as some user research about the best ways to reach our members. Our group is very diverse, and they came up with solutions that best suited our needs. The app hosts our internal communication between directors, and there is a broad spectrum of options for communication.

What is the team composition?

I had one point of contact who walked us through the backend, especially if we had to make any changes.

How did you come to work with Honeycommb?

A member of our organization had a relationship with them. We liked their presentation and decided to hire them.

How much have you invested with them?

I wasn't in charge of the financial side of things, but I believe the project cost somewhere between $5,000-$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started around October 2018, and the collaboration is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The design is wonderfully sleek and modern, and the whole platform is user-friendly. We get good feedback from users, and the response generally positive. Similar groups at other universities contact me to ask about our platform and about our experience with Honeycommb, so our visibility is definitely clearer.

How did Honeycommb perform from a project management standpoint?

I'm not technologically inclined, but they made the process simple to understand and helped us access key areas. They were very good with meeting deadlines and following project compliance.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our whole experience was extremely positive. They were very professional and easy to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In my estimation, there is nothing they could have done better.
