Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the performance marketing manager at Viacom18, a broadcast media company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Hockeycurve?
We needed someone to help with our performance marketing and branding campaigns to showcase our new brand offering.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They serve as our end-to-end solution for display marketing.
We ran different brand campaigns every 2-3 months and Hockeycurve bought advertising inventory on the top publishers, in bulk, at a particular CPM (Cost-Per-Mille) or a CTP (Capable-to-Promise) price that was available in the market.
After delivering those ads, they also provide creative services for new ads. Their design team is able to build creatives, script them, and then publish them on the desired platforms. They’re very helpful throughout our entire branding campaign process.
What is the team composition?
I work solely with the co-founder of their company, who delegates to other members of the team.
How did you come to work with Hockeycurve?
I knew of their services from a previous project we completed together.
We used to spend a lot of money on programmatic marketing and they are one of the very few agencies in India who have experience in that field. Initially, we got a recommendation from another company to use them for executing programmatic ads, and we’ve been working together ever since.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested 300,000-400,000 Indian Rupees (approximately $4,100–$5,600 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2017, and our work is ongoing.

What did you find most impressive about them?
Not many companies have as much programmatic ad expertise as they do. They have their own in-house ad server that they created themselves, which is important since they’re not dependent on any third-party service to deliver what they promise to their client. They never over-promise, and they have very good performance for a marketing agency.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing I can think of that they need to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to give HockeyCurve a try for at least 2-3 months. Don’t judge their performance based on the first few weeks; it takes time to stabilize. Potential customers should keep in mind that they’re working with one of the best companies that can deliver in their market.
