We received a recommendation through a number of business partners and some private acquaintances. After the interview, we chose them because of the experience and knowledge in our targeted technologies.

HiveTech team help us with frontend and backend parts of system. They are all senior developers and theirs contribution to project was crucial. For frontend is used last version of Angular with another compatible frameworks witch enabled developing modern and rich frontend layer. Backend is developed with Java, Spring (SpringBoot, SpringJdbc, ...) and others Java-like frameworks.

Three senior developers are always involved in the project. Over time, members changed depending on the needs of the project (backend, frontend). During the project, we collaborated with 6 HiveTech developers. The cooperation with everyone was excellent and professional.

We delivered the first two phases of the project on time and on time which would not have been possible without the expertise and help of the HiveTech team. Our owners and customers especially emphasized their satisfaction with the quantity and quality of work done.

All members of the HiveTech team have adapted to all our ways of communicating and working. During the project, we had from sporadic to weekly and pre-delivery daily meetings. There were no problems communicating using various technologies (Skype for Business, Slack, Webex, mail ...).

The HiveTech team quickly mastered business and technological issues, as well as the business rules of DMS.
Furthermore, we were surprised by the quality of knowledge transfer when replacing team members, and when joining new members.

HiveTech team helped us in defining final scope of the project. They clearly set goals and deadlines of the project and phases as well. They used modern technologies and frameworks for developing the platform with an emphasis on UX and friendly design.

There were a team of 4 people - analyst, designer and two full stack developers. Other resources (architect, etc.) were used as needed.

We launched project one month before expectations and started to test it with one of our clients. Results were outstanding and we reduced the time of our work for 60%. Our clients now have various reports in few clicks which is also great for our brand as a company in view of recommendations to new clients.

Since we have a great number of different location in region where we have engine services we needed some tool to help us with easier organization of our work.

We found Hivetech on some IT site, had interview with several agencies and we choose them because they seemed knowledgeable right away.

We needed some tool which had to be connected to our internal system for electronic bid creation, and consequently and invoice creation. After the bid is accepted we wanted tool with alerting system to know when is time for which customer for engine service, mechanics check-in and check-out, reporting.
Also we got module for mechanics working hours for individual actions and automatization of invoices for that action. Technologies were Python, Django, Angular and G2.

Beside two colleagues from our side there were UI designer, Tech lead and 3 full stack developers.

Speed up of administration process, faster response to the customers, ordering engine spare parts is reduced to minimum time loss and finally we know what action lasts for how long.

Since we both have offices in same city often we would go for a quick meetings, other was by phone or mail. All things were done in time and we had no problems with that.

Considering we have several businesses in Ruris - agricultural pharmacies, greenhouses, purchase of cereals and oilseeds we needed something to gather those businesses and ease our everyday actions. In and out invoices, compensations, segmentation of business and clients – we needed all in one place.

We needed a reliable partner for long term and they offered a competitive price. I also found them to be the most professional because they came to us with on first meeting with PM and lead developer.

First they sat with us to monitor the processes, after all documentation was written they created a plan to deal with each business individually. They created an estimation function that could calculate the return on repurchase of cereals and oilseeds.
For accounting part of the platform for better control of in and out invoicing, client’s records of grain repurchase, compensations. For agricultural pharmacies plan stock status and purchase. At the end centralized place to manage all business with its features specific for different actions.

Not sure completely, but there were 2 or 3 full stack developers, architect and designer

Accounting department is very satisfied with their part, they manage to process about 20% more invoices because we speed up the process. Generally it’s easier for our employees because we have one platform so they spend less time to find some documents and information.

It was a dynamic collaboration, we didn’t have much time to sit with them and go through all processes as much as we wanted because of every day job assignments, but we try to make them understand as much as we could.
Communication was by different communication platforms and meetings. About timeline, we had several milestones and they were mostly in time, no significant delays.

Despite our scheduling challenges the team was attentive and flexible, with fast response on some scope changes, they adjust their workflow to accommodate any of our requests.

We wanted to upgrade our Customer Relationship Management softwere (CRM) and try out new Enterprise Resource Planning softwere (ERP). We do not have in-house engineers that could do this much work so we needed to outsource the entire project.

We wanted to have faster and easy to use CRM for better customer support and better response time of our team. We had an old ERP softwere and we needed an upgrade.

My team searched online for IT companies in our city and compiled a list of 5 based on case studies on their websites. We contacted each company and narrowed it down to one after meetings. This company offered fair price, good time frame and post-launch education.

Once we selected this company ,we had a series of meetings to discuss our needs and wants for this project. Whitin the first three weeks we received initial designs for ERP and CRM. After a few discussions and changes, first part was done. After that, a lot of coding was needed.
Afer a month, we received a first verion. Soon after that we received beta verion of ERP and CRM. We had to upload dana from our old ERP and CRM to the new ones. We had full support of hivetech team with this. Final step of this project was to educate our team, which was done with full support of hivetech team.

We were assigned a project manager to support us and to serve as the main point of contact through the project. I was a project manager for our company and I usually spoke with assigned project manager. I was made aware that there were 2 frontend and 6 backend developers working on our project.

Within a month we saw better team response. Less time was needed for administration. Team was able to process more tasks and respond to them quicker. Quality of our customer support was better

The project manager that we were assigned was easy to communicate with and provided us frequent updates. We connected over the phone a few times a week and used Teams for all other communication. I was impressed by the timelines of the team and their organisation.

I was suprised by the knowledge that this team had about ERP and CRM programs, as well as their organisation and speed. They helped us a lot with user interface optimisation a lot and made it better. Overall, it was really positive experience and we would like to work with this company again.

We were looking for monitoring as a service solution for our company and decided to use Zabbix as a platform for this service. Zabbix is open source platform for performance and fault management used on network and datacenter infrastructure.
Combis had lack of resources with good competence and understanding of Zabbix, therefore we approached Hivetech Hivetech had networking specialist with Zabbix professional certification therefore they were great match for our needs.

Goal was to have unique monitoring solution for our enterprise network, and also dedicated solution which we can offer to our customers to monitor and maintain their network.

As mentioned before, we liked Zabbix solution, and Hivetech had expert on that field. Also we they had references from our partner companies.

In cooperation with Hivetech, we divided project in 3 phases.
- 1 phase was preparing high level design, securing needed resources and providing them access to our infrastructure.
- 2nd phase was implementation of Zabbix instances (collectors, database, frontend) on virtual machines, configuring of basic monitoring templates, building testing environment, discovering of network and datacenter devices and appliances.
- 3rd phase was preparing advanced templates for monitoring all sorts of devices, SLA reporting, custom graphs and reporting, integration of zabbix with other solutions, implementation of solution to first clients.
Also their engineer provided us education needed to work with solution and whole knowledge transfer.
What was the team composition?
Hivetech provided us Network engineer with Zabbix certification, and we provided 3 of our network/datacenter engineers as support. I was responsible to manage this team as a head of networking division.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
With having this solution fully working, we finally had good insight of our network. Also, since previous solutions were pretty much limited, vendor managed and very expensive, this new open source solution opened us new opportunities.
Not only that we reduced cost of licensing and support, now we can offer fully customized solution with really good price to our customers.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Workflow has been very effective. They dedicated us on-site engineer, also that engineer already did some projects for us with his previos company so he was well known. Most of the time project lasted, he was like a part of our team fully focused and dedicated to our project.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Company full of young and talented engineers with really large set of technologies covered (developers, network engineers, automation engineers).
They are only 3 years in business and from 4 friends who started everything they grow to 30 employees in just 2 years. They are really professional, hard working guys who will do their job in deadline.
