I’m the head of operations at Clutch.co, a B2B ratings and reviews platform. We help businesses and individuals from all around the world make better buying and hiring decisions.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Hilldrup?

We had a tight deadline to move from one office to the next, so we needed a viable commercial moving partner that transfer our equipment and furniture safely.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hilldrup helped us move all of our office equipment. We have approximately 70 workstations with each set comprising a large table, a desk chair, a personal storage container, and a computer monitor. In addition to those, we also have cafe and lounge-type furniture like big sofas, bookcases, smaller chairs, and a handful of designer-type tables. 

On the day before the move, they came in at 8 a.m. and finished packing at 6 p.m., making sure that all of those pieces were ready to be transferred without being damaged. They also ensured that our glassware, plates, and odds and ends were packed safely.

At the new office, Hilldrup reconstructed and remounted some of our furniture and laid out our equipment according to my instructions. They also partially followed the floor plan that was created by our partner interior designer.

What is the team composition?

Hilldrup brought in around 18 individuals to help deconstruct, unmount, pack, and move our equipment. I worked directly with two site managers, one of whom came in the day before the move while the other arrived on the day of to coordinate the transfer.

How much have you invested with them?

We paid around $10,000 for their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

The entire move was completed in January 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The move was successful. No items were damaged or missing, and there were no hiccups of any sort throughout the process. 

How did Hilldrup perform from a project management standpoint?

The Hilldrup team was very friendly and communicative, and they were super helpful in getting our things placed in their approximate positions in our new office. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very hardworking people. It was really easy to work with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything went as planned. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I largely worked in person with Hilldrup, so be sure to adjust your expectations around electronic communications. Accommodating them on-site is the best and most appropriate way to prepare them for the move.
