Hey Digital was engaged to plan, build, and manage Playroll's first LinkedIn ABM paid social program, alongside ongoing management of our Google Ads account.

Key deliverables:

• Built and launched a LinkedIn ABM prospecting campaign targeting a curated list of 472 high-priority accounts across the US, UK, and Canada, including audience sizing/expansion, job title targeting, and competitor exclusions
• Developed and rotated talk-track-specific ad creative (7 concepts across Generic, Competitor, and Hiring Internationally themes) with a phased rollout plan
• Set up full-funnel tracking infrastructure: UTM parameter structure, LinkedIn Insight Tag implementation, and conversion event tracking (Book a Demo) synced through to GA4, HubSpot, and Salesforce
• Integrated Fibbler as an ABM attribution and activation layer for account-level engagement tracking, including impression cap configuration and intent signal workflows 
• Managed and optimized Google Ads campaigns across Brand, Non-Brand, Competitor, and EOR product lines, including competitor keyword strategy and RLSA (remarketing) campaign launch
• Provided ongoing strategic recommendations on campaign structure, audience sizing, and objective sequencing tailored to our budget and LinkedIn's algorithmic thresholds

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since engaging Hey Digital, we've stood up a full ABM paid social infrastructure from scratch — including a segmented 472-account target list, complete UTM and conversion tracking across LinkedIn, GA4, HubSpot, and Salesforce, and Fibbler integration for account-level attribution. Hey Digital identified and resolved a UTM duplication issue that was compromising our HubSpot/LinkedIn attribution data, and launched our RLSA remarketing campaign with a tailored warm-audience approach. Our Brand search campaign is performing at target CPA. As a newly launched program, we're still building toward full conversion volume, but the foundational setup — tracking, audience structure, and reporting — is solid and gives us a clean base to optimize from.

Hey Digital launched our first LinkedIn ABM campaign on schedule (6/1/2026) despite some open technical items at go-live, and worked through those in week one as planned. Communication has generally been responsive — when we flagged a UTM duplication issue affecting our HubSpot/LinkedIn attribution data, they diagnosed and resolved it promptly. There was one QA miss at launch (an Audience Network exclusion that should have been caught pre-launch), which they acknowledged. Since then, they've been proactive in bringing strategic recommendations — audience sizing, campaign structure, objective sequencing — tailored to our budget constraints rather than generic playbook advice.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to see us succeed and to adapt to our startegy when things weren't working as planned. They were very responsive when we had requests for new strategy and ways of working together.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Hey Digital could have done differently?

Currently, things are working well at Hey Digital. Initally, we had a slow start where I don't think things were proactive enough to meet our conversion goals. So maybe more input from senior team member when clients don't meet expected KPIs.

I’m the head of growth at a premier in-depth training platform for people who are looking to upskill in their digital marketing or choose a career in it.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hey Digital?

We needed to step outside our comfort zone of organic growth with SEO and Google search, which was our primary method and sole breadwinner for us. We were trying to diversify that demand generation by selling our services via PPC and paid social. The agency we were working with just wasn’t a good match, so we hired Hey Digital.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We use their PPC expertise, which includes the development of paid assets, advertising, as well as Google Search and Google Video, or YouTube advertising. They’ve reorganized our entire PPC efforts and have started to optimize the process. They’ve also been developing display assets, so they work on copy for search and have been running the campaigns. In the future, they'll develop landing pages for us to optimize the conversion experience for anybody who lands on our site via paid traffic.

What is the team composition?

I’ve met four people on their team. We mainly work with Dylan (Co-Founder) on ideation and higher strategy. We also work with Celia (Co-Founder) as well.

How did you come to work with Hey Digital?

There are a lot of agencies out there and some are good and some aren’t. We were looking for good communication skills and a shared network. There was a conversation on Linkedin between Dylan and our CEO and they had expressed interest in our learning platform and we had learned a little more about them through our network.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in January 2020 and the work is currently ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

After they completely reformatted our entire Google Ads account, we’ve now aligned on our conversion goals and how much those conversions mean to us in terms of dollar value. We’ve started driving an incredible increase in conversions over the past month and they’ve started running with those campaigns at a lower spend. As far as the campaigns have been going, we've seen a positive long term debt (LTD) to capitalization ratio specific to PPC conversions.

How did Hey Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform especially well and we have a weekly sync. They’re very upfront and they own what works as well as what doesn’t work, which allows us to move quickly with new campaigns and ideas. In the beginning, they took the initiative to be overly communicative and layout everything so that the expectations were set and aligned on. They understand that we rely on the need for them to stay proactive and communicative with us and not rely on us to reach out to them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the things I like most about working with Hey Digital compared to other vendors is their transparency and communication skills. They consistently and proactively develop ideas for us and our business. They’re personable, fun to work with, and really intelligent as well, and their professionalism and expertise have really shown. They take a plan from ideation to implementation in record time. People can have great ideas and campaigns on paper, but to get it built and published in that short of time is pretty unique.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there is nothing. I just hope they keep the momentum up.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Hey Digital's biggest impact was lowering our CPA without sacrificing the quality of our leads. We scaled our sign-ups from 302–664 (119% increase) and decreased our sign-up CPA from €€69.08–€31.55 (54% decrease) within the second half of 2025. We also successfully scaled our MQLs from 18–75 (316% increase) and PQLs from 5–29 (480% increase) within the same period.
