We have designed a unique system of symbiotic smart contracts to facilitate a comprehensive application incentivising businesses and consumers towards ESG outcomes. We needed to independently audit the functionality and security in preparation for a public launch in the Fintech sector.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After 5 years of research and development, we had built a comprehensive system of smart contracts and the burden of accuracy and functionality with no real external quality control to ensure the security of our product to be employed in the Fintech industry. Hashlock was employed to audit our whole project helping to complete and identify any vulnerabilities for mitigation and correction. This is very important to do before taking our product to implementation in the market. 

Our confidence has been increased by the confirmation of the quality of work our development team has already achieved. Additionally, some areas of challenge and correction have been identified to further improve the quality of our work. This has fulfilled the purpose of the audit with an emphasis on the duty of care to our customers.

Their willingness to listen to our unique needs and be agile in their response. Always well-mannered and considerate in their consulting approach.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Hashlock could have done differently?

The process of Auditing done properly had a greater value than we had expected. With further investigation, we have found that they were reasonable in the valuation of their offer. In early consultation and pricing, they could have better prepared us to understand the real cost of a thorough auditing process, and we initially reacted to test the integrity of their offer. 

To Hashlocks credit, they were grateful for all critique and sought to address any areas of misunderstanding on our part. In hindsight, they gave us a very fair and reasonable offer and embrace all feedback as a learning experience.

Conduct a security audit of ethereum smart contracts prior to Verida going to mainnet. Audit the solidity code within the Verida Protocol. The scope of works included a comprehensive review of the smart contracts. Including the testing of smart contracts to check for their security and efficiency. And testing including both manual and software assisted analysis.
