We run workshops with Happy Team, and from there, they find suitable candidates that meet our criteria. Their team provides us with developers who assist on projects and fill roles with experience we don’t have internally. Their team is currently helping us build out additional benefits on a platform.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve never had any issues with any of the developers from Happy Team. I’ve worked with many contracting companies over the last few years and found that it is difficult to bring individuals on board who gel with your team. We’ve never had that problem with Happy Team; they have consistently added value. 

Happy Team’s work has allowed us to begin projects sooner because we know they’ll provide us with viable resources; overall, it’s given us flexibility that wouldn’t be possible without them. 

How did Happy Team perform from a project management standpoint?

All of the work is delivered on time and within budget. They always follow up with us and ensure we’re aligned if there are issues. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is exceptional, and they communicate effectively. Happy Team works quickly and is transparent in their approach. We also appreciate that they are incredibly open to feedback and ensure we are satisfied with their resources. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing we can come up with at this point. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be transparent with them about your requirements because Happy Team really tries to adhere to them. If you’re clear and honest about your needs, they’ll be better prepared to make a plan that works for you. Any time we’ve run into an issue, it has been because we haven’t clearly communicated things from our side.

I’m the founder and managing director of StoreFeeder, a multi-channel e-commerce software.

We were acquired by Royal Mail in 2015. After that, there was an urgent demand to develop software. We contacted Happy Team since we needed competent developers to work on the projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Happy Team provides us with good developers. However, their involvement is more than just hiring resources. We also leverage their industry experience and technical expertise in our projects and customer engagement processes. We’re a Microsoft shop, so the key technologies we use are mainly ASP.NET, C#, and MySQL databases. 

What is the team composition?

We work with about 25 teammates from Happy Team. These include testers, UX designers, developers, and development leads. 

How did you come to work with Happy Team?

I knew Kuba (Founder) because I worked with him before.

Our investment has been between $1 million–$9 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the partnership in March 2015, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our main KPIs have been about redefining our relationship with Royal Mail. We’ve had phenomenal growth with the software we’ve produced. In fact, we’ve seen thousands of percentage increases since we started, and we’re getting to a point where we have around £1 billion (approximately $1.2 billion USD) in revenue. 

Overall, Happy Team has been so integrated in our development process. Their passion and care have been evident from the start. That’s the reason we’ve been using them since 2015. They’re a real partner in our success. 

How did Happy Team perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver everything on time, and if they don’t, they always have a valid reason and a backup plan or compromise. As a result, we’ve never had any problems with time management, project planning, and quality of work. To communicate, we use Slack for written communication and calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their pride is impressive. Their recruitment process is rigorous because every single process we hire genuinely cares about the project. There’s a sense of pride in there that shines and breeds positivity inside the business. They’re certainly talented and technically capable, but it’s the pride that they have in their work that truly stands out. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

While all of them are fluent in English, only some of them have phenomenal English skills. That everyone hits that high bar. Nonetheless, it’s truly easy to communicate with them. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t just use Happy Team as a development resource that will do as they’re told. Look beyond that and treat the engagement as a partnership. With the investment and dedication they show, they can become a valid partner with valuable input for you. Make sure the engagement is a joint collaboration. They can function as a team that only does what you tell them to do, but you’d be wasting their true value.

• Time tracker: a user-friendly, bilingual web application for employees to report work hours and time off. The application complies with all data protection regulations and is optimized for seamless performance on various mobile devices and operating systems. Users can easily switch between the Polish and Ukrainian language versions. 
• Administration panel: the centralized panel for administrators to manage time tracker users, monitor work hours and time off, and generate custom detailed reports. The solution includes an automated process for importing and validating employee data, eliminating time-consuming manual work.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

1. Enhanced productivity: We have significantly improved efficiency by eliminating the manual process of transferring working hours from time cards to Excel. 
2. Enhanced data accuracy: This automated approach has greatly reduced errors while handling working hours and led to improved data quality. 
3. Improved forecasting and planning: With access to daily data, we can make more accurate projections and efficiently allocate resources, replacing the previous monthly data approach. 
4. Increased employee satisfaction: Employees now have real-time access to their work hours, eliminating the need for scanning and recording time cards. Employees can promptly address any working hours discrepancies, leading to greater satisfaction.
5. Streamlined project management: The system allows quicker responses to absences and overtime work, facilitating more effective project coordination.
6. Elevated employer satisfaction: By eliminating employers' involvement in administrative tasks like scanning work cards, we have enhanced the overall customer experience.

After a few failures with a previous vendor, Happy Team 😁 was able to give us what we wanted. With the previous company, we tried to accomplish everything in three years. Happy Team 😁 did it in three months. Now, data collection and sales are way better.

Happy Team provided us with two mobile aplications both for iOS and Android. The first mobile app is a white label PFM type application. The app is integrated with our digital receipt system and Polish Ministry of Finance digital receipt system. 
It helps clients to collect financial data (receipts), support return proccess with a cryptographic proof of purchase and analyse financial data (simple charts, summarys etc.) The app has also all the standard functions like various types of login, posbility to add and verify phone number, e-mail address, card data.
There is also QR code scaner and displayer of the QR codes. App provides users with starting tips, terms and conditions, log of changes, simple financial dictionary, and payment module. The second app goal is to provide clients of the PayD system posibility of audit who, when and how was using their digitial receipt data. The app enables to add and verify phone number, e-mail adress, card data and displays complex audit log form our systems. Both apps are nice looking and easy to use.

We added to our commercial offer additional white label product.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

At the begining we predefined quite precisely the scope of work and devided it into 11 functions or gropu of the functions of the Apps. After that we got project valuation. HT participated in our tender and managed to handel quite complex formal process. 
The first phase of the project was the most intensive. We worked on a UX design. We had many workshops about our priorities and goal of the particular functions or elements of the application. Development, testing and adjustment was a smooth sailng.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Our project was complex on technical and formal level. HT dealt with it fully professional. We strongly recommend cooperating with Happy Team for startups that require a flexible and dynamic approach.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Happy Team could have done differently?

It was our decision to work this way, but we could be less agile next time and setup timeline for development of particular functions of the apps. We would probably resigned from the most time consuming and focus on different.
