GTC made it easy and came up with an easy to use online invoicing viewing portal for their clients to view outstanding invoices, credit notes, delivery notes, statements. They are very results driven and have a high standard in their approach and work. That was very important for us.

GTC made it easy and came up with an easy to use online invoicing viewing portal for their clients to view outstanding invoices, credit notes, delivery notes, statements. They listened to our requirements and delivered it to a high standard. They created a detailed wireframe that explained every screen and the links between them.

Our clients love the application that was created and it was easy to use and track invoices.

The developer working on our particular project could be a little more responsive when change requests were raised.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Previous IT consultant referred the vendors and we had several discussions about the our needs and as well as our limitations in terms technical knowledge and financing capabilities. It was also apparent during the discussion that they have the capability and capacity to execute the project.

The vendor was very accommodating with our needs and understood our situation given that fact the we are in a pandemic, they were very reasonable when it comes to technical requirement as well as flexible on financial terms.

We need an online platform to manage our commitment delivery, payment and invoicing. The vendor created an automated scheduling system specific to our business model and integrating payment and invoices as well. There were several iterations due to unforeseen business and technical requirements to which the vendor accommodated.

The CEO was heavily involved and around 1 senior developer and 2 specialist developers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The online platform, was the centerpiece of ou marketing campaign and is the source of at least 80% of our clients.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have weekly online meetings and instant messaging for urgent matters. Standard Scrum management principles.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The flexibility and offering several alternative solutions

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There may have been a period where the required resourcing for the task was underestimated, but eventually managed accordingly.

I reached out to GTC because I needed help updating the code on my app to a new language.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team is currently updating my app into a new coding language and adding new features. GTC aslo helps with maintenance and eventually we’ll be moving into version two of the app that’s quicker and more flexible.

I work directly with GTC’s CEO and a team of at least two other developers.

How did you come to work with GTC?

The CEO of GTC was previously a developer at a larger company when he helped develop the code for my original app. That’s where how we met originally, and I just reached out him again without even knowing he had started his own business.

Over the years, I’ve invested about $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began developing my original app in 2005, and our current engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Every piece of revenue I have, which come from downloads in the App Store, can be directly attributed to their help. Without the team’s work, I would have no product or income at all.

How did GTC perform from a project management standpoint?

The team performs excellently from a project management standpoint. If I have a concern, I can always count on the CEO to respond in a timely manner. His team is much more available than other offshore companies I’ve worked with in the past. We use Trello and Skype for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve found the team’s communication most impressive. They’ve always been ready and available when I needed them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would like a specific point of contact for Q&A. It seemed to be overlooked often.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It would be best to come into the engagement with specific goals. The more specific you are with your requirements, the easier it is to hold them accountable if things don’t work out as planned.

I am the founder and CEO of an education services provider. We focus on classroom-based tutoring for K-12 students of international curriculums like the International Baccalaureate and the Center for International Education. We launched online tutoring in the middle of 2018, and we are continuing to expand in this area.

We wanted to build a high-quality online portal that is secure and functional. Our goal was to maintain customer satisfaction.

How did you select this vendor?

We reached out across the learning community and explored references from previous IT projects that we had completed. We were looking for a vendor that could provide support services along with fast response time for troubleshooting.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Initially, we discussed our requirements with the GTC team and agreed on milestones. From January–March 2018, GTC built a secure repository of in-house learning content for our tutors and staff. In the latter half of 2018, they developed the online portal for our academic tutorial services. The initial version of this external portal was launched last year, with GTC adding new features as needed. GTC continues to help us develop and expand our services, including mobile apps for Android and iOS.

We are highly satisfied with the services provided by the GTC team. They are proactive and fast.

Our communication with them is quite effective. We have a single point of contact and regular operational review meetings.

The GTC team is quick to respond and quite flexible with their services. They are willing to go the extra mile to find the right solution for our needs.

We have not experienced any issues.

What challenge were you trying to address with GTC?

We hired GTC to produce a series of very concrete deliverables.

What was the scope of their involvement?

GTC provided backend development including database and server work. They've built several different things using Java. Last year, they provided some work for us in Angular. They also used PHP to create proofs of concept. 

Our product is not typical; it's highly complex. They tried to create some wireframes and outlines for us to begin with. We eventually hired a designer to create those materials, but GTC implemented the entire solution.

We worked in sprints. At first, the architect was managing the sprints. Later on, I took care of the management personally.  We've established a partnership that allows us to try out some experimentation to see what is feasible. 

What is the team composition? 

Our main point of contact at GTC is Mukesh (CEO and Founder, GTC). They assigned five developers to our project. 

How did you come to work with GTC?

When I first launched the company, GTC came recommend by our chief architect. 

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent well over $200,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2011-2012. Right now, we are regrouping to decide whether to continue working together.  They are looking for additional resources to replace the developers we wanted. If they do so, we will hire them again in the future.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

GTC is the reason our software and even our company exist today. The customers we have now wouldn't have been possible to secure without them.  They worked with us to create our entire product.

The main reason I've continued to work with GTC is that they've always been there for us. They collaborate with us to figure out the most practical solutions for our servers and how to account for other constraints.

How did GTC perform from a project management standpoint?

They didn't have to focus too much on project management because I was so intimately involved. If we needed something done, the CEO was always there to make it happen. 

GTC was even willing to work on the weekend. They supported us whenever things crashed unexpectedly. They were available to help us whenever we needed them.

Initially, we used Jira. We develop software for enterprise and R&D management, so we used our proprietary software. Skype was our primary form of communication for daily scrum. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most important strength we saw in GTC was their ability to go above and beyond. They stood apart from many companies in their field. I keep going back to them because they're always willing to work as a partner with our team to make sure we succeed. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have a slightly better strategic focus in my opinion. It seems like they're already doing so right now, though.  They need to decide what areas to focus on and which types of technologies to use. I think they're on a path to improvement. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know what you want from the start. Many companies are unclear about their goals when they hire a vendor. I have recommended GTC to several of my colleagues. While they're all satisfied, GTC has indicated these clients aren't using their resources to the fullest extent. Working with an offshore team requires a detailed scope of the projects and very clear requirements.

I’m a senior scientist and software developer for a small biomedical research and development firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with GTC?

We don't have any in-house mobile development expertise. We needed a partner that could help us with the mobile components of a couple of different projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

GTC has worked on at least two projects with us for iOS and Android. For the first project, they worked with the designs and initial coding that our team had developed and implemented it for iOS. For the more recent project, they designed the user interface for and developed the demo prototype for iOS using Swift. They’ve also worked with Flutter and React native.

My main point of contact is the CEO.

I’m not sure.

We started working together in 2018 and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We just finished the demo for the second project. It’s contributing to our business but the impact hasn’t been fully realized yet.

How did GTC perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via email and phone as well as VoIP. We use Trello for project management so that I can track tasks.

They’re responsive and good at adapting to our changing needs. I try to think about the scope from a medium- to long-term perspective and they’re always willing to try to do more to meet that scope. I can think of at least two occasions when they made an extra effort to meet deadlines. They’re quick to complete tasks and available when we need them.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness overall has been the most satisfying. If we have a miscommunication, they clear it up quickly. When I make it clear that I need something, they’re quick to respond to make it happen.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They're a little weaker or less experienced on software testing. Most of the testing that is part of their standard workflow is done manually. We’ve been working with them to automate it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

No, I don’t really. One of the satisfying things about the relationship with them is that there haven’t been any real challenges. Everything has been within the normal scope of a new professional collaboration.

I’m the creative and marketing director at Silicon Valley Disposition. We’re a full-service surplus capital assets management and remarketing company. The breadth of our capabilities and platforms ranges from a single asset to entire manufacturing facilities and everything in between.

For what projects/services did your company hire GTC?

We relied on GTC to create a custom admin and frontend solution that allowed us to post and display stand-alone auction events on our websites. The system needed to be easy to maintain and scalable so that we could update all of our platforms’ frontend designs on a yearly basis. 

What were your goals for this project? 

Before starting the project, there was no admin UI, and we had very little control over our SEO. We decided on a custom admin system that could adapt to our workflow rather than settling for a third-party template.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Our former COO was extremely knowledgeable and directly hired GTC’s team. 

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail. 

GTC worked in close tandem with our internal team to build a custom auction solution. We designed and developed the frontend for our websites, and GTC developed and implemented all of the necessary backend code to make the system functional. The new admin system allowed us to post and display stand-alone auction events, monthly online consignment auctions, and “for sale” listings using custom conditional statements. 

What was the team composition? 

Our creative director developed the frontend, and our president came up with the concepts for the sites as a whole. We then worked with their development team to build out the functionality. Finally, our creative director tested all versions of the sites.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Because we were able to create such a custom solution, we're now growing significantly on a monthly basis. Our company has a steadily growing database of buyers and purchase-intent subscribers from various industries. 

How was project management arranged and how effective was it? 

GTC’s project management was top-class. They were on time with every task, and it was easy to communicate via Skype and email. The team remained available throughout the project, working with us on a weekly basis to go through multiple frontend edits as well as complex conditional statement requests for the UX/UI. Together, we made sure that all front- and backend revisions were up to date and functional. 

What did you find most impressive about this company? 

I was impressed with their ability to understand complex conditional statements and concepts and then easily make them functional. They never said that they couldn’t do something, which was truly incredible.

No, none that were apparent to me.
