We’ve had a few different account managers, but we now primarily work with one steady account manager. We also spoke to someone higher up in the company when we had a few issues with our account managers.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve received a few good leads from Growthonics over our relationship. It’s difficult to give a hard metric, but we’ve gotten leads worth the investment. 

How did Growthonics perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve had some project managers that have not been the best, and we struggled to contact them, but they’ve been better recently, and we now work with a steady project manager. We communicate via email and Zoom. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The system and process that they’ve put together works, and it generates leads. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be a huge bonus if they invested more effort into the content they produce for clients. The content they write for our emails is sometimes questionable, and things like our company name will be misspelled. They’ve given us content that is not professional, and we’ve had to invest a decent amount of work in fixing things before sending them out. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Communicate your needs to them because they want to give that to you. They’ll cater to your needs, but you do need to ask.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Growthonics helps us with lead generation services. They acquire data for us, both in target organizations and people within those organizations, based on our description of who we want to target and who our ideal audience would look like in different sectors. After they provide that intel, we approve the data, and they then send out contacts by email. Consequently, we brief them and send a demo to the targets we chose via an email chain — Growthonics creates the templates, writes the copy, and then sends them out using Lemlist for automation.

What is the team composition?

We work with Alicia (Account Manager), who is our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Growthonics?

They were already working with us when I took my current position.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we've spent about £8,500 (approximately $9,800 USD) with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2022, and it's still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Even though we're currently starting with the project, we're getting very good open rates of emails at the moment, so we're building a solid data list, which is getting very good.

How did Growthonics perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very responsive, can meet deadlines, and have a great account manager — Alicia is brilliant. Regarding communication, we use emails and weekly Zoom calls to catch up.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The data set is qualified and comprehensive, and there's a lot of it. In addition, they're proactive and constantly review the account regarding what's working and what isn't, which I haven't seen with other people.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'd love it if they could get me more demos, although that might be down to the market or the message.

Know your ideal targets upfront and the positioning you're looking for.

We initially began the project with a customer success representative and one other person, but they were eventually replaced. Overall, we worked with five people.

We worked with them between March–September 2022.

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

They provided us with some prospects, but most didn’t pan out into leads for us. We weren’t given a lot of detail for meetings, so the handover wasn’t strong enough for the people we were meeting with to be valid prospects. They didn’t have a great approach, and our company had to intervene and change the personas we were going after. 

They provided us with a few prospects, and we set up meetings with them in the future, but we aren’t sure that those meetings will go through. 

How was project management handled?

We found it challenging to work with Growthonics because they weren’t in-house, and we weren’t getting real-time feedback and responses all the time. Their communication wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the right fit for us. We communicated via Zoom once a week, and we sent emails back and forth. 

In what specific areas can they improve?

We wish they would have communicated things to us sooner, especially problems that came up instead of waiting until our weekly meeting. We also wish they had given us more details for the handover because we felt we were missing a lot of critical information. 

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Make sure you set clear expectations and goals regarding metrics and have a good flow of communication.

We have limited internal resources, so we hired Growthonics to help us source and find lead contact details for outbound sales activities.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We use them to generate detailed lead information like names, email addresses, and LinkedIn details for people that we’d like to work with and think that our services would be a good fit.

We give Growthonics ideal personas or a specific list of people that they conduct research on. After a set amount of time, they come back to us with those leads, and we put them into a database on our side. There are also times when we’ll see a new release or certain movements in the market with a specific lead, and we’ll ask them to get further information for us. 

What is the team composition?

We work with Tessa (Client Success Manager) and a direct lead who manages two other account team members. 

How did you come to work with Growthonics?

We were initially working with another company, but we decided to move away from that because we thought we could do everything in-house. We wanted to make the process more cost-efficient, and to have more ownership over it. 

We were looking at a few different firms, but Growthonics sent us an email and we decided to look into them further. We spoke to other people who had worked with them, and they were all pleased with the experience, so we decided to move forward with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $8,000–$9,000 with Growthonics. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We look at how many people we’re reaching out to and how many of those emails actually get delivered. Right now, that number is below what we would typically expect, which we are very happy with.

In general, our volume of leads has increased to the point that we’ve doubled the amount we’re getting quarterly. This is in part to the work that Growthonics is providing us with. We plan on continuing to work with them in the future. 

How did Growthonics perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re good at communicating and meeting deadlines. They give us consistent updates regarding where they’re at and what they’re working on, which helps us stay on the same page. They’re also very quick to flag problems and bring them to us, which helps with our communication. We communicate via Slack. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Everyone we’ve been working with at Growthonics has been very kind and goes above and beyond to check in with us. Their team is emotionally intelligent, making the partnership more successful because we know they care. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing that we can come up with at this stage. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Put in the time and effort to explain your proposition and what you’re looking for. Give them a clear direction of the kind of leads you want. The more specific you can be, the better results that you’ll end up with.

Please describe your company and your position there.

We are a corporate travel management company offering bespoke travel solutions to our clients. I am the Commercial Director but I work very closely on the sales side of the business.

For what projects/services did your company hire Growthonics?

Due to the pandemic we had to let go of our sales team meaning we did not have anyone to generate leads for the business. We wanted to try something different and thought a lead generation company would be a new and exciting project to try.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We found a number of companies online and we had calls/video calls with each. Once we had the proposals through and understood how they would run the project, we then chose Growthonics as we liked their approach and were confident they could deliver on what we were looking for.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We had numerous calls and we completed documents including search criteria and questionnaire's so they could find out exactly how we worked, what sectors we targeted and our services. We felt they really did a lot of groundwork to make sure they fully understood our target market and how we wanted to attract new business,

What was the team composition?

I've worked very closely on this project as well as our CEO and my colleague Ciara who has been handling the leads that come back from Neil (our appointed sales contact from Growthonics).

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have seen a great response on the emails Neil has been composing. We have also had a number of conference calls and we have some strong leads that we hope will transition in to account wins.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow is very effective, we have weekly calls and they share with us how the data team have been getting on and Neil joins these calls as well. Calvin has been running the project and is the main contact who has been emailing for updated copy and any changes we want to make to the process. Calvin will also work closely with us and the data team to make sure they are sourcing the right prospects for us.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their commitment to learning about our business at the outset was very impressive and they are very professional. We feel Neil's approach is very in keeping with how we want to present ourselves, he is a real asset. They have been continually committed to wanting us to win new business.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

We did have some slight teething problems at the outset which meant the data team were not quite getting our target sectors. We had a number of companies being added to our data sheet that were not the right fit. So I worked closely with Calvin and we decided to share the data from our CRM and this enabled the data team to cleanse it and Neil could then re-approach contacts.

We needed to source data and prospects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Growthonics helped us with lead generation. We would meet and discuss the criteria of people we wanted to reach and populate lists regarding those prospects. Then, they handed them to us.

The requirements would depend greatly on the sector because we had a versatile product. For example, we were heavily in the charity space, so the criteria would be people in finance and C-suite individuals that had decision-making power to adopt new process software.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 4–5 people, but it would fluctuate. Also, we had an account manager.

How did you come to work with Growthonics?

I wasn’t a decision-maker on this.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April 2021–May 2022.

Overall, they saved us eight hours a week in lead sourcing, which was a significant amount. We also had numerous clients that came from that data. It was a favorable conversion rate.

How did Growthonics perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was exceptional. We communicated via email and had a Zoom call once a week to define criteria and adapt to any new sectors we were moving into.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service was outstanding.

No, I don’t have anything off the top of my head.

Be clear and concise in the criteria that you require.

I’m the head of international business at Yodlee. We provide tools that enable customers or small businesses to access their data in real time through third-party applications.

What challenge were you trying to address with Growthonics?

We wanted to open up opportunities in South Africa and find the kind of companies we’d normally reach out to, but hoping to get to more organizations quicker.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Growthonics provides us with lead generation services. We tell them what we’re looking for and what our perfect customer looks like — for example, a bank looking to power a budgeting app. 

From there, Growthonics does the research to find the relevant contacts in South Africa and reaches out to try to get us an appointment with them. They contact leads through a combination of calls, email, and LinkedIn.

What is the team composition?

We work with two teammates from Growthonics; our account manager, who is our main point of contact, and the teammate who finds the opportunities.

How did you come to work with Growthonics?

We were looking for somebody locally. Growthonics was a local provider, and their reputation seemed fairly good from reading their online reviews. We had conversations with them in the early stages, and out of the couple of companies we were talking to, Growthonics were the most responsive and seemed to have the right direction.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend around £2,000 (approximately $2,600 USD) a month with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business. 

Growthonics’ lead generation rate is pretty poor at the moment, though they’re trying to get better. So far, they haven’t managed to hit the perfect type of organization that we would reach out to and thus haven’t found real opportunities. We haven’t had a viable lead that’s come out of this engagement yet. 

At the moment, we haven’t had a single call that’s been a proper, meaningful conversation with a company where there is a chance to do business with them. The team is booking lots of appointments, but they’re the wrong kind. We’ve addressed the issue with them, and it’s slightly improving, though not significantly. 

How did Growthonics perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet their project timelines. We typically communicate via email, and they have weekly calls with my teams.

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

Not really. Though they’re booking many calls, they’re not generating any viable leads, so that’s a negative rather than a positive.

In what specific areas can they improve?

They should improve the companies they target and get in touch with. They need to call the right companies for us to close opportunities. For example, we’ve told them that the financial advisor space is somewhere we need to go. We set the expectation up-front that we needed to target larger companies, and they booked us meetings with the types of companies we would want, but they were too small.

We needed advisory companies with 100–200 advisors; that’s the market we communicated. However, many of the appointments they sent us were with individual financial advisors who run their own business and would never license their own technology because it would be too costly and complex. We’ll absolutely work with them to get the situation resolved, though, because that’s how we want to work with partners. We’re having continued discussions with Growthonics about the issue.

Be very descriptive and specific about the verticals of the companies that you’re asking Growthonics to reach out to.

We wanted to automate lower-level administrative tasks, which were essentially any non-urgent, essential company tasks.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Growthonics has automated all of our essential, low-level administrative tasks. We maintain our own database, so Growthonics automated our data entry and record updating tasks. Their team uses our CRM to facilitate the automation — Growthonics has complete access to our CRM so they can continuously update the system. 

What is the team composition?

We have one main point of contact, but have worked with an additional teammate before. 

How did you come to work with Growthonics?

My company was working with Growthonics when I started this job last year, so I'm unsure how we first started working with them.

We've invested around £60,000 (approximately $79,000 USD) with Growthonics so far.

My company's engagement with Growthonics began in January 2019, and it's ongoing.

Our engagement with Growthonics ebbs and flows, but overall their work has freed up a lot of time for our internal team. The automation has resulted in an increase in our team's ability to focus on higher-value-added activities — that was a critical change because our entire business model is built around higher-value-added activities. 

How did Growthonics perform from a project management standpoint?

Growthonics is managing our project well — they keep communication channels open and clear. We have quarterly check-ins to ensure the automation is still working properly. Growthonics is very proactive about communicating absences or changes in the project team. I can reach out to our point of contact if there are any issues, but by and large, their team has been great. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Growthonics is responsible and responsive — I can rely on their team to deliver what I ask for without double-checking and correcting their work. Our investment in Growthonics has paid huge dividends and we're very happy with their work. Their team has stayed on top of all of their promises.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have no constructive feedback for Growthonics. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'd advise customers to be clear about their goals, project steps, and what a good result looks like. Once customers have that project clarity with Growthonics, they can expect clarity in their deliverables.

Please describe your company and your position there.

We are a provider of Asset Finance solutions to UK SME's and corporate clients. My specific role is Head of Vendor and Direct Sales which means I work in partnership with Manufacturers and dealers of commercial Vehicles and industrial plant equipment to provide funding to their customers who are purchasing vehicles or equipment from them.

For what projects/services did your company hire Growthonics, and what were your goals??

As we had recently developed and launched a new sales channel, we needed to quickly grow our target database, creating awareness and interest within our chosen target markets/sectors, with a view to generating meetings, which in turn would help to develop long term partnerships and relationships.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for reputable lead generation companies and also received a direct email from Growthonics, coincidentally at the time we were researching. After narrowing our options down to two candidates. Growthonics quickly grasped and understood what we were looking for from the campaign and along with their unique approach, were the deciding factors in our choice.

Growthonics provide lead generation and database building services for manufacturers and dealers within our chosen sectors. Leads are generated by carefully crafted emails and linkedIn messaging. Growthonics use 'dummy' email accounts and LinkedIn profiles and the leads are sent through to us whenever a positive response is received and we manage the process from there on.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with a dedicated account manager who in turn worked with a wider team who assisted with various areas of the campaign, i.e. email and LinkedIn copy and search criteria. We held weekly calls with our account manager, to go through the previous weeks performance, discuss any specific issues and the plan for the week ahead.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the service?

The campaign has been really successful with a number of positive leads generated, which in turn have lead to face to face or virtual meetings. We also have a pipeline of future calls, where the timing wasn't right for an immediate meeting but a future meeting or call was respected. We now also have a really strong prospect database with identified contact names for future prospecting, which is vitally important to us.

Outside of our weekly calls, our account manager was always on hand to take a call or quickly responded to emails and answered any specific queries we may have had. The team were also open to trying something different and suggested ways which would generate a better response.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The speed at which leads were initially generated, the quality of the leads, the availability of our account manager and the speed which queries were dealt with. Our account manager was fantastic and had a really good understanding of our requirements.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The 'bump' emails or LinkedIn messages could perhaps be a little more spaced out which would have meant we could have dealt with a couple of small issues quicker, which would have resulted in a better overall customer experience.

Growthonics is our lead generation partner. We know our ideal customer profile and focus on a particular niche. With Growthonics, we can tell them exactly who to go after to add those people to our nurture campaign. Once in our nurture campaign, we have the metrics, and we’re able to know how many people end up becoming clients.

We only deal with one account manager from their team.

They reached out to me through a cold email, and I replied to them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality of their data is incredibly tight. Growthonics has some problems regarding their organization, which can be highly irritating. However, once we worked out what process we wanted to follow, they got very good at it. More importantly, the ROI we get on our spending with them is incredibly attractive. With Growthonics, we also have a steady stream of leads — they're fantastic at it!

How did Growthonics perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team isn’t great at communication, but our current account manager is good. The rest of the team doesn't get back to us on time nor understand our requirements. Their data delivery was also unmanageable and all over some spreadsheets — it just was amateur and unprofessional. Nonetheless, our current account manager changed it all — she does what she says and says what she does, which is all we need.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their data is impressive, as well as their service and internal process work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They need to improve on data organization. We’ve done 10–12 projects with them, and the data is all over the place. There’s no way to look at the projects we’ve done because they’re all scattered in Google Spreadsheets.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you know the target you’re going after and do your own market research because that way, Growthonics will be incredibly successful when you engage with them on a project. You have to do the legwork when it comes to your target audience.
