Please describe your company and your position there.
I am an associate at Biogen based in Florida. Our company was founded in 1978 and is a pioneer in biotechnology. With 7,000+ people around the world, we are a global organization with headquarters based in Switzerland. We offer therapies globally through direct affiliate presence in 30 countries and we have a network of distribution partners in over 50 additional countries.
For what projects/services did your company hire Growth Hackers, and what were your goals?
We needed help creating a full-stack growth marketing strategy for our business. We hired Growth Hackers to help us with lead generation, user acquisition and conversion rate optimization in order to grow our revenue.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We were looking for a growth hacking agency. What I love about their way to do business is that they are client oriented. What I mean by that is that they were genuinely interested in our business, our audience and market. They didn't speak too much about them but rather focus on us. Before we even started working with them, they sent us a complete strategy and audit of our competition.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
They helped us mapping a customer journey, optimized the conversion rate of our website, creating a Facebook advertising campaign including compelling ad copies and video creation. They also worked on our email marketing campaigns by segmenting our audiences and creating personalized email sequences.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I was surprised to have a full team at our disposition. I directly worked with their CEO and COO but I also had a dedicated account manager, an experienced copywriter, a video creator and a data analyst.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We started seeing results from the 2nd month working with Growth Hackers. The first month was mostly about onboarding, setting up the accounts, having a full market analysis and creating a campaign proposal. Execution really started the 2nd month and we saw almost instant results. Our traffic increased right away and we could see that it was qualified because we started to generate leads the 2nd week of the implementation of the campaigns. They managed to get a 4X ROAS in just 10 weeks with results improving weekly.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They have a bunch of tools they use and it will take me too much to write them all down but here's a quick overview: Monday.Com, SEMrush, Buffer, Google Analytics, Lumen5, Canva... The communication is great as every Monday, they will send us a weekly report about the performance from the previous week including the main metrics (Impressions, CPC, leads, sales, conversions, ROAS...), showing me the top performing campaigns as well as the least performing ones and the strategy/recommendations for the following week.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I have worked with other agencies in the past but I always felt they didn't understand my business really well and they were sending me so many data without explaining what that meant. With Growth Hackers, they say they are results-driven and they actually are. They really put an emphasis on data that help my business grow and they take the time to explain everything. I am not a data expert myself so having someone explaining what every single number means meant a great deal to me.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There are always areas for improvements but what's good with Growth Hackers is that they listen to my feedback carefully and acted on it so their processes kept improving during the collaboration.
