Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder and CEO of Clarify, an IoT software company that works in the real estate industry. We help real estate investment managers by improving their insights regarding their building residents’s health and well-being.
We collect data, visualize it, and send it to the building management systems so the building managers can tweak things to improve the tenant experience.
What challenge were you trying to address with Growack Media?
Our new marketing leads had just started, so it was the perfect opportunity to make changes and upgrade our software and internal structure. We wanted to upgrade to a professional CRM — we were using a free HubSpot model.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Growack Media customized and optimized HubSpot to fit our needs. They focused on meeting our requirements — we needed all the CRM to streamline processes in a way that was suitable for our business.
They started with a complete analysis of the HubSpot tools we were missing and how we could optimize them from our initial stage. They identified what we needed to implement to optimize our HubSpot usage. Then, Growack Media’s team created workflows to automate and save time regarding our sales and marketing efforts.
We set a 20-hour project timeline — we used the last four hours at the end of the engagement once the marketing suite was up to speed and we had the first few insights from new prospects and clients. Then, Growack Media used those insights to finetune the CRM.

How much have you invested with them?
For us, this project didn’t cost anything. Growack Media is partnered with HubSpot — they get a kickback fee from our contract with HubSpot, allowing them to offer 20 hours of free support.
What is the status of this engagement?
This partnership was from August–September 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We primarily measured Growack Media’s success through the various ways we can now better apply HubSpot’s features. Growack Media ensured they mapped everything to clearly demonstrate our website, sales, and customer engagement performance. They also ensured our workflows on the backend were correctly connected.
It was hard to define their success via a measurable ROI, but Growack Media facilitated a smooth transition from a time management point of view. Many new processes have freed up my time and my marketing team’s time. From a startup perspective, Growack Media’s services were very beneficial to us — the free support was great for our business.
How did Growack Media perform from a project management standpoint?
We primarily communicated via email — I usually got a response to my emails within a day. During the partnership, we had face-to-face meetings where our marketing and customer support teams were able to dive into the nitty-gritty details of how to use HubSpot.
What did you find most impressive about them?
My contact from Growack Media was very understanding. They worked with us to understand our business processes; we are different from standard software companies because we connect inventory management through our financial bookkeeping. They worked to ensure the processes in HubSpot would match our ERP system and how we could communicate everything internally, both on- and offline.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They didn’t have as much experience with the customer support sections in HubSpot, primarily due to the section being a relatively new aspect of HubSpot. There is definitely room for improvement there.
However, I know it is sometimes hard to keep up with HubSpot’s new iterations; my marketer relayed that information to me after taking an onboarding course at the HubSpot Academy. Growack Media needs to stay abreast of new updates in HubSpot so they can better help future customers.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the marketing director of a LoRaWAN company. As a whole business, we build and maintain LoRaWAN, which supports IoT projects worldwide, and we do that on a national level. We also provide our customers and clients with a complete ecosystem of solutions to have an end-to-end experience for them.
What challenge were you trying to address with Growack Media?
We decided to incorporate HubSpot in our systems and use it as a CRM since we needed some advanced reporting to assess the financial level with our CFO and our board directors. We needed Growack Media to help us build the proper financial reports for the next quarters and next years' forecasts.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had a first introductory course where Growack Media offered their services, and we talked with the owners about it. Some weeks after, we needed help to build the proper financial reports, so we reached out to them. We remained in contact and requested a quotation based on the services. After the first quotation, we got a second call for validation, and we signed a contract to start the collaboration. We gave them access to the platform and further details that might have been previously missed.
We started working directly with their consultant to settle the project information. After that, we had a preliminary call with our CFO for the validation of the project, which had some complications. Later on, we talked with their consultant to make the proper changes and had a second internal call with our CFO for validation. The project was validated, and everything was finished, and it was approved.
We provided Growack Media with an example of the past reporting that we used to do with Excel in order for them to replicate it on HubSpot. We also provided them with some relief presentations of the company. I made the preliminary calls and guided the consultants into the platform to follow up on their structure decisions and the reasoning behind them.

We worked with one of their teammates.
How did you come to work with Growack Media?
Growack Media introduced their company in a presentation email, and we decided to have a talk with them. At that time, we were not in need of their services, but we could forecast that we would be sooner or later. Moreover, they seemed trustworthy and, when we needed it, we decided to go ahead and hire them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around €3,000 (approximately $3,600 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked from March–April 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I was in charge of supervising the project, and they quickly understood the logic behind the functioning and setting up of the platform. They were also up and running all the objects in half a day. Within two weeks, most of the core parts were settled, and the rest of the time was a little bit more elapsed because we had some extra activities to be done on our side that actually didn’t include Growack Media. Otherwise, I’d say that the whole project would’ve been set within three weeks from their side. They were always addressing our needs, including those I wasn’t able to address on my own, even if I was experienced in a CRM setup.
How did Growack Media perform from a project management standpoint?
Growack Media was extremely precise, even when we delayed the process a little bit. We’d communicate with one of their consultants by phone on a weekly basis, just to make sure everything was properly settled. We’d also talk through emails and Telegram.
The consultant was a little bit less precise in communication or understanding terms, but they would always come around and take care of the finishing and fulfilling process on anything that was missing as a team.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were very transparent in what they could or couldn’t do in terms of achievements regarding our expectations. Even when there were some barriers to what we could do, Growack Media always did the best to find a workaround.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In the beginning, they could’ve had a little bit more precision from the consultants, but that was pretty fast set up back on track.
Any advice for potential customers?
Be precise in the request deliveries, because it will make it easier for you. Make them a list of services you need to avoid explaining it back and forth on phone calls.

For what projects/services did your company hire Growack Media?
We needed help with analyzing our leads, which were gathered from services like BuiltWith. Growack helped us analyse thousands of leads, and find the right people to contact, as well as finding their contact details. This saved our salespeople 3-4 hours of manual work every day.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to analyse 5000 leads in order to see if there is a demand for our solution. This meant a lot of calling, and contacting by LinkedIn and by phone. We could not do that that analysis alone, therefore we hired Growack to help us.
How did you select Growack Media?

We provided Growack with 5000 leads to be analyzed. We often had not more than a URL of the company website, or a LinkedIn profile. Growack did the heavy lifting and found the right people to contact, with numbers, LinkedIn profiles and email addresses included. Excellent quality, over 90% of the data was correct, which is an excellent result.
What was the team composition?
A Growack team member was assigned to work directly for me. We had weekly catch-up calls, and reported results to my team and management.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
ALl that was asked got done. There were no delays, no issues, no complaints on my side. I can highly recommend Growack for similar projects.

We worked on Microsoft Teams and email, as well as shared database of sheets and documents.

I was the COO of Wind Energy Solutions. The company provides durable energy solutions. Specifically, we install wind turbines in tropical islands where diesel was used previously, thus reducing energy costs by 50% and making the islands green. We have wind turbines on Pico Island and Saint Helena, the island where Napoleon was exiled.
What challenge were you trying to address with Growack Media?
We went to them for a content marketing strategy. We needed to target specific customers. It’s a global world, but, if our marketing isn’t good, people won’t see us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had workshops and discussed the market landscape and several strategy options. Growack Media translated our strategy into executable plans and helped us execute those plans.
What is the team composition?
Sushil (Founder & Head of Growth) was our main contact, and he worked with 1–2 people in the background.
How did you come to work with Growack Media?
I visit a lot of meetups in Amsterdam, and Growack had one about growth hacking and content marketing. I was impressed by the quality of the ideas they shared and started to be interested. I got in contact with Sushil, and we started doing business.
How much have you invested with them?
We were paying for 32 hours per week for a one-year period. They had an average hourly rate, and our impression was that we got a lot of value for money, considering the other offers we looked at. I don’t remember what their rate was.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Growack between April 2017–April 2018. We worked together for a year, until we were educated enough to continue with our own people. One of the things that Growack did was train us to help ourselves, in comping up with strategies and executing operational activities.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I already had ideas about content marketing and marketing automation, but I wasn’t able to actualize them. Growack helped us get people involved and accept our strategy.
They had a great impact in terms of figures and nontangible results. We were very happy that we made the move, and we later scaled the program based on what Growack initiated. They taught us how to put a concrete plan in place and execute it.
How did Growack Media perform from a project management standpoint?
We had an agile scrum type of working, and they were very good. Growack had a modern management style, and they aimed to inform and help us, not tell us what to do. They were a part of the team, and they were very clear about their vision. It was a pleasant way of working together. It wasn’t the typical, old-fashioned style of the consultant telling the client to do this and that. Growack tried to activate us to think.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very knowledgeable, but not in an irritating way. They were able to activate us to do things ourselves and think in a certain way. They’re not a typical consultant, looking to clock as many hours as possible. They want to help us learn how to do it ourselves. That’s based on a solid understanding on marketing, marketing automation, and growth hacking.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They were relatively new to renewable energy in the beginning, but that’s a relatively new field. We had to bring in the domain knowledge, but that’s what we specialize in. Growack was smaller then, with a team of 4–6 people, which made them unsuitable for larger companies. That wasn’t the case with us, and the people from Growack were very passionate.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Clients should listen well and give Growack the space to do their job. They’re not the sort of old-fashioned company with a dominant leader that wants to be in charge all the time, so maybe they won’t fit in with a top-down, hierarchical management system.
