Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a Canadian branch of an international non-denominational Christian mission agency. I overseeing IT and related projects.

What challenge were you trying to address with GRIP I.T.?

We needed a partner to oversee IT and some high-level development efforts.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We examined the condition of our site together to determine any infrastructure or development opportunities for assistance. It was determined that they could help us integrate software into various customized programs that our company uses internationally. They’ve been assigned to those projects and also help us with general IT-related upkeep.  

What is the team composition?

We work with 2–5 people depending on our need and their expertise on certain issues.

How did you come to work with GRIP I.T.?

We had some history. Our previous IT partner brought them in as consultants for a few key hardware issues. We’ve had a peripheral association with them from then on. They were one of the three vendors we asked to examine the scope of work and, we ultimately choose them. 

How much have you invested with them?

Over the course of our engagement, we’ve spent about $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in October 2013, and we're still collaborating. Our team no longer has any internal resources dedicated to their areas of work with us. They’re our go-to team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re certainly meeting our expectations. Our team has provided recommendations for them to other agencies, which is a testament to their performance. 

How did GRIP I.T. perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a ticketing system, so anyone in our organization can contact them at any time regarding an issue. Otherwise, for the specific projects that we’ve assigned to them, we work with their project team to make sure everything is monitored and executed properly. On a day-to-day basis, their staff is able to contribute to correcting our IT issues.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their attention to detail made them stand out from their competition. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so. We should probably be interacting with them more frequently, but they’re willing and capable of all tasks we ask of them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Scope out a very specific set of development projects for them, setting milestones for the team along the way.
