I am the director of Haven the Agency. We are a real estate firm.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with GreyTeak Technologies?

We wanted to create a frontend website and a backend portal that all of our agents could use as a CRM. We also wanted a shopping cart where agents could purchase all their advertising material and vendors could search the advertising materials.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

There was a challenge, as it is a referral system, and when our agents recruit other agents to join, they get a percentage of the commission from each sale. GreyTeak Technologies had to create a multi-level marketing-type platform on the backend that would calculate all the commissions and split them to all the agents.

The frontend is beautiful—very sleek, sophisticated, clean, and modern. They did the design and development of that, which involved showing us wireframes and mock-ups of the frontend as they went along.

There are two parts to the e-commerce aspect, which is for both the agents and for the vendors. Agents can log in and choose and design their business cards, as well as the brochures they want to be dropped in letterboxes. They can also order A-frame sold stickers, open for inspection flags, and essentially everything an agent needs to run their real estate transaction.

The vendors don’t have access to that, but the agent can go through the backend with the vendor and help them pick which size board they want at the front of their property. They can also choose which photos they want on the board and in what order, so the vendor can approve it before sending them off to the printing company.

What is the team composition?

I believe there are around 10 people altogether. There are six people in the office, and a handful of people overseas as well.

How did you come to work with GreyTeak Technologies?

We had a lawyer who’d worked with a lot of developers. He referred us to a couple of them and we chose GreyTeak.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent between $250,000–$500,000 USD.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in October 2017, and it is an ongoing project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I would highly recommend GreyTeak. The quality has been amazing, and they are really engaged. Rather than just take instruction, they give a lot of ideas put a lot of input into it. A lot of the suggestions have come from their end. We are very happy with the quality of the portal.

How did GreyTeak Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They have performed excellently. We communicate through emails and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understood our very complicated project with ease.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think so.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be really clear about your direction and what type of look you’re after. Show them examples of other websites and other backends to help them achieve exactly what you want.
