we went through many SEO companies over the 17 years of our existence and we couldn't find any that improved our sales. We find some that would improve website visitors, but when we looked into it, it was people finding more photos on our website, and not potential customers. When we found Graycell, they actually got true ranking for our service.

The results. Most SEO companies charge a lot of money, they 'talk' a good game but when it comes to results, they are mediocre at best. They take time but get slow and steady results, but each month, week, and year, they keep getting better and better.

Very hands-on, personalised and detailed. Timelines are mostly adhered to although there is room for improvement. They are very communicative through email, calls, whatsapp etc and keep you informed of every step.

I’m the CEO of a company that specializes in developing complete software solutions from scratch, including custom-coded modules for implementation into existing software ecosystems. Our approach encompasses Agifall [Agile and waterfall] or Wagile [waterfall and Agile] methodology to provide both flexibility and focus. Our primary goal is to provide functionality as quickly as possible while allowing for adjustments in the process. We offer outsourced development resources as an extension of our customer development team. Our customers can choose between short- or long-term engagements, which help reduce administration costs.

We were looking for a software developer for third-party customers. This would let us expand and contract the number of developers based on workload and project pressures.

What was the scope of their involvement?

GrayCell has always been accommodating and supportive of our needs. They provide us with developers for PHP, Java, native mobile (iOS and Android), HTML, and SQL. Originally, we started with several small tasks to test their workflow, quality of code, and QA [quality assurance] processes.

One of our projects is a pioneering educational marketplace with groundbreaking features that have not been offered by any other provider to date. Aside from custom-built loyalty and referral modules, it includes an online classroom module that has video, audio, a two-way interactive whiteboard, and live document exchange. It even has a 60-second KYC [know your customer] verification process that is linked to numerous government departments.

What is the team dynamic?

As our confidence grew, so did the number of developers we used from their team. At any given time, approximately 6–14 of them work alongside our in-house teams across 5–7 projects.

How much have you invested with them?

In total, we’ve spent more than $200,000 on their services. They participate in projects that range from $10,000 to as high as $100,00.

What is the status of this engagement?

We have been working with them for over 2 ½ years, and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product went live a few months ago, and the customer is really happy with it. Although I am not allowed to disclose statistics and merits, I can tell you that user feedback has been fantastic.

How did GreyCell perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a designated project manager who coordinates with all of their developers, while a dedicated accounts manager provides support across all of our projects. This arrangement has been very satisfactory. We give them written specifications at the start of each project, and we also communicate via phone, Skype, and email.

What stands out for us is their project and account management services.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Initially, we felt that they needed to improve their QA process. However, we’ve witnessed fantastic improvement in the past 2 ½ years, which is in line with our expectations.
