Introduce your business and what you do there.

I run a consulting organization focused on sales-process engineering. We help global clients with anything customer-related, including acquisitions, terminations, necessary processes for service, delivery, fulfillment, billing, collection, upsell, termination of contracts, and customer relationship management [CRM]. I am the founder of the company and the de-facto CEO. 


What challenge were you trying to address with Gravity Infosolutions?

We were doing a lot of Excel work in terms of leads and customer communication. This created a lot of leakages, causing us to lose opportunities. We were looking for support on this front and engaged Gravity Infosolutions. 


What was the scope of their involvement?

Gravity Infosolutions proposed using Salesforce for our team. We started the extensive work of figuring out how to capture lead generation and support the entire sales process. Now, we can send proposals right from the CRM solution and maintain entire conversations with the customer, from the initial point to post-sale.

I worked directly with Nagendra, their founder and CEO, who managed a team of people. They took what we wanted to do and converted that information into an actual implementation.

How did you come to work with Gravity Infosolutions?

I initially found them online and did a reference check. When I’d worked with them before, I found them to be a small, eager company that was nimble and open to suggestions. They came up with better ideas than what we had in mind. I evaluated many other options for this project, but we chose Gravity Infosolutions.  

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Gravity Infosolutions in January or February 2017. The project is ongoing. We’ve completed 1 set of sales modules and are now working on the post-sale modules. 


Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

Our first metric was the timeline. We had a long evaluation period, which meant that the development needed to go faster. Gravity Infosolutions was able to do this. Secondly, we looked at how fast the system could be on-boarded and how quickly our team could be trained to use it.

Lead generation was not an issue, so we didn’t focus on changes in that area. We needed a single dashboard on which we could see our status and customer plans.

How did Gravity Infosolutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They set clear deadlines and milestones. Everything depended on milestones being achieved before starting the next module, and Gravity Infosolutions was 95% accurate in this regard. There were issues on our end as well, in terms of the availability of people and data. The project was delivered on time, and we had no delays relative to our initial plan.

What did you find most impressive about Gravity Infosolutions?

They have an Agile team that’s open to suggestions but also provides counseling and advice. Each person is competent and understands what has to be done. Since it’s a small team, they need to have good credentials and delivery in order to expand.

Are there any areas Gravity Infosolutions could improve?

I can’t think of any at the moment.
