I'm a co-founder and director of an emerging e-sports sportsbook and content-focused website.

For what projects/services did your company hire GR Digital?

We hired GR Digital for PPC, SEO, and social media content support in addition to helping us establish sponsorship/partnership deals. This was ideal during the initial launch phase because our internal resources were primarily allocated to product development and support.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted our sportsbook to become a household name in e-sports. It was our goal to deliver authentic content on social media by forming community-driven sponsorships/partnerships.

How did you select this vendor?

We have been in e-sports for many years and have gotten to know most of the digital marketing vendors in the space. Based on our experience and peer recommendations, we felt that GR Digital offered the most comprehensive services that were aligned with our needs.

GR Digital created content for PPC, SEO, social media to help us establish sponsorships and partnerships within the community. They managed everything from top to bottom across all services. 

What was the team composition?

GR Digital had 2–3 staff involved at any given time, with one main contact providing regular daily support.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We saw a material uptick in social following once GR Digital began their work. Brand resonance increased as we established more partnerships, and our reputation grew in a variety of community forums. As a result, people identified us as being one of the more legitimate sportsbooks in the e-sports space.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our CMO and marketing staff oversaw GR Digital’s work, but it was a relatively hands-off project for us, which was ideal. Their team was regularly available and communicative through both Slack and email. No situation cropped up where they were unavailable or did not adjust to feedback.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were impressed with how nimble and quick they were to execute, considering the scope of services provided. Typically, we have worked with shops that focus on just SEO or just PPC, so it was impressive that GR Digital could execute consistently across all efforts.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, nothing material comes to mind.

I’m a director at a video game e-learning startup. I consult on new game content we support and oversee marketing/advertising work.

For what projects/services did your company hire GR Digital?

We’re primarily focused on developing our learning platform and the content it provides, so advertisement creation in-house is difficult. We hired GR Digital to produce a Fortnite advertisement centered around in-game footage (which in itself is very difficult to work with).

What were your goals for this project?

The goal for us as a company, before launching our new site, was to create and test multiple ad ideas to see what style (e.g., funny vs. informative) resonated with potential customers.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

When working with a freelancer to produce our first in-game footage concept, my team found a video online produced by a GR Digital employee. The quality was so far superior with GR Digital that we began working with them immediately. We’ve now worked with them on two videos, and their response time and reasonable pricing are the major factors in continuing to work with them. Their experience with the in-game camera system helps them work quickly too.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

Once we selected GR, we provided them with our final draft for each ad concept, and they identified where we needed to provide content and where they could handle it. They delivered all the content for our first ad, while we hired a third-party to generate in-game content for the second. GR then edited that third-party content. Both ads involved a feedback process where GR fine-tuned them (including multiple iterations of the second ad).

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We had a primary point of contact at GR, and I served as the primary point of contact at my company. I reached out to my team to gather feedback on GR's work, and their primary point of contact distributed it to their team to make changes. In both ads, we iterated on multiple rounds of feedback.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We haven’t aired the ads yet, so we're unable to share growth or visibility metrics, but we'll have those numbers in the next few months. So far, GR Digital has met my expectations, which were quite high after seeing the video that introduced them to us. Our internal team is quite happy with the quality, and we look forward to collaborating on future ideas as well.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We cooperated smoothly. Even though there was a 6-hour time difference between us, GR was always incredibly prompt in replying, and they turned around most of their editing work in a few business days. Updates/changes based on feedback were turned around in a single business day. We communicated through email and had no issues from a project management perspective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They’re able to manipulate in-game camera systems to capture the angles, speeds, zooms necessary to make compelling, cinematic video. It’s not an easy system, so their experience and skill are unique.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, not that I saw. We look forward to working with them in the same way again.

I'm a sole trader working alongside a third party to build an app for gamers.

I hired GR Digital to complete the initial MVP of the application. Since the relationship was beneficial, we've chosen to continue working with them. 

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to build a complete MVP based on my specifications.

How did you select this vendor?

I selected GR Digital based on the recommendation of the aforementioned third party. After meeting with them and discussing the project, they were clearly right for the job. Their broad experience in the gaming industry was a huge benefit and apparent from the start.

GR Digital handled everything, from development to design to project management. They also contributed to discussions and decisions around the functionality of the app.

What was the team composition?

We had one lead developer, who was responsible for all backend and infrastructure work, along with one full-stack developer who handled frontend and user-facing work. One designer delivered all the artwork and designs. Our project manager handled the team, kept tasks up to date, and compiled accurate progress reports.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The application is now live and free for public use. It's currently being monetized, which has a huge impact.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

I worked with them to create tasks and hone details. We organized tasks by priority and arranged two-week sprints, with a release at the end of each sprint. At the beginning of every sprint, we had an update call to discuss changes or address questions and pressing issues. They added me to their Slack channels so I could speak directly to the team. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I loved their flexibility and knowledge. To my knowledge, only one other person had done what I asked of GR Digital, and their problem-solving method wasn't public. No matter the time of day, they were always responsive and easy to meet with for updates or discussions.

Are there any areas for improvement?

A lower price is the only way my experience could have improved, but the quality of work was excellent. With GR Digital, you truly get what you pay for.

I’m the director of developer success and partnerships at Overwolf, an open app platform for PC games. We give third-party developers the ability to create web-based applications for gamers.

We were introduced to Gareth (Director, GR Digital) and his team by a third party.

GR Digital owned every step of the process. From development and design to user support and marketing, they did it all.

What was the team composition?

We worked with a project manager—who handled marketing, support, and communications—two developers, and a designer.

These apps furthered our mission to provide value to every gamer in every game.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Gareth takes care of everything. We have conference calls, and they've given us access to their project management software, which helps us stay on top of things. They also provide us with updates whenever something pops up.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their team’s communication is great, and they stay on schedule. If something is urgent, they'll get it done rapidly. They provide amazing value thanks to their deep understanding of the market and game mechanics.

The project included on site optimisation such as optimising content and keywords for all pages of the website, including our weekly blog. We then moved to the creation of landing pages around specific keywords and link building.

What was the team composition?

I had one main point of contact within the team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We saw a 20% increase in organic search and revenue.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. We had bi-weekly calls to make sure we were tracking progress and discussing future steps. My emails were always answered very quickly if I had additional questions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their responsiveness and knowledge set them apart. My point of contact was always very open to answering questions and having calls at short notice and giving advice on Paid Social as well.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not improvement as such. We just needed an agency with more expertise on luxury beauty which is a very specific sector.
