Golux features a small but highly capable staff. The developers adapted well to in-house code styles, making for a hassle-free partnership. The quality of their work met all expectations, and the team never missed a deadline thanks to its willingness to work extra hours when necessary.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CTO and a co-founder of a mobile development company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Golux?

We do not have the in-house resources available for web development projects, so we have hired Golux on multiple occasions.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially hired Golux for work on our website, which utilizes a custom CMS built on Laravel PHP. They arranged several API endpoints that we needed for our mobile applications.

They have also developed a separate website’s frontend using React.js.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with their developers.

How did you come to work with Golux?

The founder is a friend of mine, and I was familiar with his work. After Golux provided solid results building our website, we outsourced more work to them.

Our latest web development project spanned August 2016–October 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of their code met our standards. They adapted well to our coding style, so the output looked as though it was developed in-house. We conducted QA with our team, and our clients were extremely satisfied.

How did Golux perform from a project management standpoint?

Most of the project management was performed from our side given the nature of the collaboration, but we were very pleased with the work they performed. Because our offices are close to each other, they worked in person with our developers at times, and we communicated through Slack when working remotely.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were available at all hours of the day. If we had an issue in production, they’d work nights and weekends as much as necessary. As such, we never missed a deadline.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They are not the largest company, so they were unable to take the lead on large features. Further, they don’t have QA engineers or designers on their team.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

We only leaned on Golux for their developers. I’m not sure I can give advice for running a full project with them.
