Portfolio

Key clients:

GoldenComm has over 500 clients. Visit our website and check out our Portfolio for more samples and project details. Some of our clients include: LeadLander, Ingram Micro, Shop BMA, Brand New Day, Fine Linens, and Neutron.

LeadLander Image

LeadLander

LeadLander has the reputation of being the most recommended site tracking software. The LeadLander team needed a fresh start, and came to Goldencomm, a long-time partner, for help. We assisted with a full rebranding and build of a brand new site. We built a B2B lead generation website on Wordpress that is easily editable by the client without having to write code.

Ingram Micro Image

Ingram Micro

Ingram Micro is an American Fortune 100 company and the world's largest electronics and information technology distributor. Ingram Micro and GoldenComm have partnered together on multiple website builds.

Shop BMA Image

Shop BMA

Shopbma.com is a cellular phone cases & accessories manufacturer and distributor focused on providing industry-leading products for Boost Mobile retailers. With our help, Shop BMA was able to update their eCommerce website with nopCommerce integration. We redesigned the UI/UX of the website and updated the logo to create an easy to use, mobile first design. A NetSuite integration was implemented to manage product

information, inventory, order placement, and shipping. In addition to all that, NACHA file and cron job created to submit ACH details to TD Bank.
Brand New Day Image

Brand New Day

Brand New Day, an HMO healthcare company, needed to move their current website to a CMS that would allow them to more easily update their content (Kentico). In the process they wanted to modernize their design, make their website responsive, and put the site onto a platform that would allow them to easily scale as they grow their online presence.

Fine Linens Image

Fine Linens

Fine Linens is a family-owned business whose luxury bedding, bath towels and high-end housewares have delighted New York City shoppers since 1975.

With a new look in town, Fine Linens worked with GoldenComm to complete their new website build with Magento 2. This build included extremely customized logic, product import and configuration.

In the end, customers from all over can now enjoy a shopping experience

where they can filter down into products by price, color, category and more - all while experiencing great site speeds thanks to a CDN (content distribution network).
Neutron Industries Image

Neutron Industries

Neutron Industries is a division of State Industrial, that is focused on selling commercial cleaning products direct to professional cleaners. More than selling products, Neutron Industries provides solutions for their clients.

For this project our goal was to redesign the existing eCommerce website with a modernized design that is easy to use on mobile and tablet devices. As a nopCommerce development company we

utilized this platform for the website which is fully integrated with the client's SAP ERP system. This build is backend development heavy, we set up a series of API's during the checkout process to send orders and new customer data directly into the ERP. This build is unique because the ERP is doing all the work for nopCommerce during checkout: it is the payment gateway, the shipping API, and the discount "calculator".

GoldenComm’s work was praised by internal and external stakeholders. High quality and systematic, their work has met all needs. Customers can expect a communicative team that keepx their projects organized.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the CEO of Leadlander.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with GoldenComm?

We had divested our business from a public company and needed to go through a website rebuild and marketing rebrand.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We did an entirely new WordPress marketing website build from scratch, including all-new content. We worked on a logo and rebranding of what we had done previously. We've done a multi-tiered marketing plan around the relaunch of our services and they're also doing some IT and technology management for us on the backend. We did the brainstorming together, but we followed what their recommendations were.

What is the team composition?

We have six people from their team, including a project manager.

How did you come to work with GoldenComm?

I know their CEO and have worked with him in a different capacity for the past 10 years as partners.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in November 2019, and our engagement is going.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The work has always been top quality. We were given a timeline based on what our needs were and we were never waiting on them. If anything, they were always waiting on us.

How did GoldenComm perform from a project management standpoint?

It's done according to a plan that we all agree to, so it's very systematic in the way they go about deploying things and keeping them to a schedule. We had a real solid team working for us. We did weekly management meetings for the various projects we were working on. Sometimes it would be multiple meetings per month. The project manager was in charge of all the different facets of that. They kept things very well organized and communicated exactly what we were doing. We communicated via email, phone, and web conference.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Knowing their CEO and previous work made it easy to start working with them, but the way they delivered everything we were promised made it easy to have a long-standing relationship with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We're a small group that's doing a lot of different things and we really relied on them to be experts. Our only constructive criticism would be is that we gave them freedom without our feedback, but they still needed some communication from us to bring it all together.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to understand the scope of the project that you're looking to do. Rely on them on their expertise in trying to get it done.

Feedback summary:

GoldenComm provided full-stack website redesign services for a senior living and hospice provider, helping to transfer the site to WordPress and modernize the user experience and conversion funnel.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a memory care senior living and hospice provider operating in seven different states, and I am the content marketing manager responsible for our digital presence messaging and strategy.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with GoldenComm?

Our company was living with a website that was relatively outdated and had grown beyond what was really usable for our customers. We worked with GoldenComm to develop a new website from the ground up.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The site they developed for us was built on WordPress, and we used what worked from the design of our old site and then modified and modernized everything else. They focused on streamlining the user experience to funnel visitors on our site toward conversion so that we could increase our incoming leads.

Their team has also helped us to handle some basic digital marketing tasks, as well as handling the management of our existing site while we make the transition. Even though that was a different platform than they normally worked with, they helped us to transfer that to the new platform without a service interruption.

What is the team composition?

I’m not sure how many people are on their team in total, but we’ve had several points of contact, including one main project manager for the website redesign and another for dealing with more general digital strategy and tasks.

How did you come to work with GoldenComm?

Our senior vice-president of sales and marketing knew their founder and CEO, so when the opportunity came up for us to switch out our digital agencies, we decided to give them a try and ended up wanting to continue the engagement from there.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership began in October 2019 and we are continuing to work with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s a little early to report statistics on our new website because the new URL will take a little bit of time to build up momentum, but we have seen some of our more highly ranked pages already performing well, which is exciting.

Beyond that, the biggest win for us has been that our leadership teams, both on the executive side and in the field, are thrilled with the new design. They love how simple and to the point it is, and how great the user experience is that it delivers.

How did GoldenComm perform from a project management standpoint?

We used several project management tools to keep track of all of our progress, as well as holding weekly calls to make sure everyone was on the same page. Their project manager was very quick to respond and very clear with any questions that they had throughout the work, which made them very pleasant to deal with and helped keep us on schedule at all times.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Of all the agencies I’ve used, they were the most adaptable to working with what we brought to the table. A lot of companies are used to dealing with clients that don’t have any technical background and expect to just do everything themselves with little input.

GoldenComm was excellent in identifying where our skillsets overlapped and eliminating redundancies, allowing us to capitalize on the strengths that we already had and allowing them to focus on supplementing the areas where we needed extra support.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, it was a great experience across the board.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would suggest trusting their knowledge and experience and letting them do what they do best. A lot of people go into projects like these expecting their partner to just robotically follow their requirements, but the best thing about working with GoldenComm is that they bring so much more experience and insight to the table than almost anyone can provide in-house.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of a botanical design company that does interior and exterior plant decor for commercial buildings. This includes holiday decor services.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with GoldenComm?

Despite being a 25-year-old company, our online presence wasn’t great. We needed something more optimized for Google searches to start a digital marketing presence.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Together, we built a website from scratch. Historically, our platform was acceptable but not optimized. Because it was a bit clunky, we figured it was time to bring in a professional. They built a WordPress site from scratch for us. That started with their designers presenting us with initial wireframes that detailed what the site would do and how it would look.

They handled that entire design and development process. We’re a very visual company, so they focused on making our visual installations tangible on the platform. That helped enhance and clarify our message to create a better system.

After the site was complete, they moved on to manage our Google Ads campaigns. At this point, we’re running a few campaigns with them.

What is the team composition?

Boris (Project Manager, GoldenComm) was our project manager for the build-out of the system. That transitioned over to London (Online Marketing Analyst, GoldenComm) for PPC. Occasionally, a more senior member also gets involved.

How did you come to work with GoldenComm?

I got to know their CEO at a workshop.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $25,000–$50,000 on their services so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the project in September 2019, finished the site in October 2019, and are continuing to support our PPC efforts.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We started to track cost per quality lead, and they did a good job of getting our process started. Whether it’s determining how we’re managing, evaluating, or tracking inbound calls, they’ve helped us get established.

Our hits have probably doubled, but they’re still on the lower side because we’re a local company. However, the quality of our lead is definitely increasing. The site they created is a scalable solution that accurately represents what we do as a company.

How did GoldenComm perform from a project management standpoint?

Especially during the site build, their ability to communicate was excellent. Even after the first week, we saw so much progress from them. That was refreshing. They could turn tasks around very quickly. My team ended up being the limiting factor in the relationship because we were never waiting on them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their expertise in B2B web design and digital marketing really made them stand out. All of our clients are commercial, so it was important that we were partnering with someone who understood how to market to that sector. They were a perfect match for our focus area.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They have a solid team, specifically their senior teammates. We’d love for their teammates to continue learning and growing to get to the level of expertise.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear on why you’re making your decisions. They were great at helping us convey our message. Their team guided us in the right direction because we were able to tell them about our requirements and needs upfront.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the marketing director for the parent company that covers multiple voice technology software brands.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with GoldenComm?

We work with GoldenComm as an extension of our marketing arm for one of our brands.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have them manage our PPC accounts and they are able to really dive into the details of that and optimize everything in a way that we just don’t have the time to do. They also field pretty much any random design question or web security task that we don’t have the bandwidth for, which has been really helpful.

They have created print collateral for us in the past, but their primary role is in digital design on our WordPress site, specifically focusing on onsite conversion optimization. We do A/B testing on pages to see where we can improve the user flow, and they have led that project, as well as managing all of our lead importing into our CRM and making sure that all functions properly.

What is the team composition?

I work with anywhere from 2–4 members of their team depending on the project we are working on at the time. I have one primary point of contact, and they’ll bring on other project managers who focus on task management and various aspects of the strategy with regard to PPC marketing and things like that.

How did you come to work with GoldenComm?

We initially started working with GoldenComm about a year before I started working at the company, so I’m not entirely sure how the connection was made, but they have always performed well for us so the decision to stay with them has always been an easy one.

How much have you invested with them?

In total, we’ve probably spent a little under $500,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project first started in early 2015, and we are continuing to work with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They have produced really satisfactory results over the years that we’ve been working with them. We were able to improve our conversion rates by 20–30% on our lead landing pages, which was excellent.

Our cost per click has gone down because of their skill in manipulating the Google Ads account, and our web speed has increased because of their consistent management of the images and snippets through the site backend.

How did GoldenComm perform from a project management standpoint?

Their whole team is really organized and very on top of things, which makes the project incredibly easy for us. One of the main reasons we’ve stayed with them for so long is because they more often remind us about things than we ever have to remind them.

We meet twice a month through a video chat, and they always keep us up to date about their progress and everything we need to be doing to stay competitive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They stay on top of any new technologies and strategies, but I have always been most impressed by their authenticity. They really understand what we need and what our long-term goals are, which makes us feel like we are not just another account but a real business partner to them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In general, they really cover it all.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take the time to really dive into your goals and priorities as a company, because the better they understand those the more they are going to be able to help you.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a business development manager at W&M Environmental, an environmental consulting group. We’re a division of Braun Intertec.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with GoldenComm?

We hired GoldenComm because we were expanding our website and needed SEO and SEM support. Our goal was to generate more leads from our site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

GoldenComm provides ongoing SEO support and search engine management, along with some website hosting. They manage our Google Ads, as well, and we collaborate on keyword research to drive these campaigns.

On our site, they make regular structural changes. Their developers have added tabs, a career page, forms, and location tools. We’re in the process of revamping the entire site over the next few months.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact is Tim (Lead Marketing Analyst, GoldenComm), but they also provide a project manager that I don’t work with as frequently.

How did you come to work with GoldenComm?

Before changes within our company, our managing partner was introduced to the owner of GoldenComm at a business meeting. After going to California and getting to know their team better, we realized they were the right company to get us where we needed to be.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2017 and the project is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since beginning our engagement two years ago, we’ve generated $5 million in opportunities and over $1 million in actual sales. We’ve improved our organic search result placement, as well. Additionally, we’re still seeing responses from campaigns we ran 6–8 months ago.

How did GoldenComm perform from a project management standpoint?

GoldenComm meets our deadlines and they exceed our expectations. For every project, we’ve given them clear requirements and they deliver work with equal clarity. They’ve never let me down. Communication between our teams is outstanding. I talk to Tim once a week usually, but definitely every other week, at least. We use GoToMeeting to manage our workflows and share screens, and they create special charts, slides, and graphs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They bring a great level of knowledge and understanding to the engagement. They’re excellent at explaining things to us, which is helpful. It truly feels like a partnership.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I’d have them do differently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen to what they say. Ask for their advice and expertise, but don’t try to invent the wheel too much.

GoldenComm gave in-depth reporting. Every month, we receive PPC reports detailing our goals and conversions we gained. Initially, they would check in weekly, but that’s moved to bi-weekly check-ins. Their team is responsive through email. Whenever we have projects or other tasks come up, we can call them along with corresponding through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their organization. In every call, we go through certain points. GoldenComm is on top of everything, even things that have slipped our minds. They ask about different aspects to make sure they are at the forefront of our minds. GoldenComm works together to give their clients the best results, through advertising, design, and site optimization.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not that I can think of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

GoldenComm is an excellent company to work with from an organizational standpoint. Their team is full of experts in different fields. They bring the right people to their clients, which takes the pressure of searching off of them.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the president and CEO of Mars Air System. We manufacture an air curtain, which is a piece of HVAC equipment.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with GoldenComm?

We had spoken with them in the past on specific marketing initiatives around our 50th anniversary in business. When we started looking at the marketing, we realized we really needed to conduct a brand discovery first. We worked with a branding firm before reaching back out to GoldenComm to apply what we learned.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Unfortunately, our website was hacked, so it was a bit more involved than we’d planned. GoldenComm started not by focusing on our future goals but by putting the pillars in place needed to repair the site and get it back up again. They jumped in and quickly got the hacked website repaired, patched up, and functional.

That led to a conversation about relaunching and rebuilding a new website. The old site was built on open source architecture. After living through the vulnerability of being hacked, that's not where we wanted to go again. We also wanted to have the potential of adding an e-commerce platform down the road. So they built the new site with a more solid and secure infrastructure. They also created the ability to report out front- and backend metrics, such as areas of the site where users go to most frequently.

They're currently working on the next phase of the website experience and the potential for e-commerce. GoldenComm is helping us think about how we can improve the user experience and move people through a sales funnel. We want users to be able to get more information or a quote, ultimately driving more sales opportunities through the website.

What is the team composition?

Our main contact is Taylor (online marketing analyst, GoldenComm). We also work with a project manager for the website rebuild and a digital marketing lead. I have a relationship with Jason (CEO, GoldenComm) because of the years that we've been working together.

How did you come to work with GoldenComm?

They were one of three firms that the branding company recommended. They weren’t the lowest, but I really liked their proposal.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably spent between $200,000–$250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together about 7–8 years ago, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Industry and customer feedback is excellent. Companies that are much bigger than us are acknowledging our efforts. They approach us wanting to know how we can be partners and if we’d share some of our best practices. The software is really cool. GoldenComm is moving us into a more advanced space with these cutting-edge initiatives.

How did GoldenComm perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a standing weekly status meeting with Taylor every Thursday. It’s great having various members of their team—including senior leadership—work with us on our project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

GoldenComm really listens. When we were hacked, they heard our concerns about moving quickly to get our site fixed before talking about what the future site should look like. They have a lot of customers, so it’s their willingness to listen that stands out. They also share cool ideas with us. They let us know what they see in the industry in terms of software, technology, and marketing. They don’t push solutions on us but instead want to find what works for us and what makes sense.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's always room for improvement. Nothing beats face-to-face meetings with their senior team and our senior team. Every time we have an in-person meeting we’re better able to get on the same page and move things to the next level. It would be better if they were able to do that more frequently.

The client submitted this review online.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the president of a small trucking company that focuses on the motorcycle dealer services sector. We specialize in hauling, warehousing, and set-up of the units a motorcycle dealer will sell. We also do interstate and international shipping for personal bikes.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire GoldenComm?

We needed help to implement a marketing plan, tools, and advice to generate leads and close sales for the international and interstate shipping portion of our business.

What were your goals for this project?

I want to be in contact with all the people in the areas we service who want to ship their motorcycle or ATV anywhere in the world.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I called them because their headquarters are close to my house and they sponsor many community activities in the area. Their CEO came to my office and talked about the services they provide. It was obvious they know what they’re doing, and they have a proven track record. He’s an honest and charismatic guy, not a typical salesman. Their technology blew me away in the demo, and I was sold.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

GoldenComm created a web landing page that provides a local contact number that’s different depending on the user’s location. The call comes directly to my cell phone, so I receive every one that comes in. They also provide sales training so that I can better offer a quote and get the caller to hire us. They record the calls that come in and give me tips and instruction on how to sell our service.

What was the team composition?

I mostly work with my account representative, but the CEO is also readily available to help if needed.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’ve seen a definite increase in traffic on our website, and many more calls, since beginning this project.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They’re great. It’s been a seamless transition.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I’m equally impressed with their technology and their people. Their team is kind, honest, and experienced. The technology is highly effective and easy to use.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, they’re great. I can't think of anything they need to improve.

GoldenComm is organized and excellent at project management. They’ve reduced campaign costs by nearly 50% and also maintained conversion rates and increased traffic. They work hard to meet project goals and provide regular updates.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of marketing communication at Bruker AXS, a company that sells high-value laboratory equipment and services to academic and industrial customers.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with GoldenComm?

We needed help with our Google Ads and SEO. We’d been using a different company, but we weren’t satisfied with their work.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

GoldenComm runs Google Ads campaigns and manages our SEO for two product lines that have different key terms. Our internal team creates the content—which GoldenComm suggested even though it didn’t financially benefit them at all—and they adjust and add terms as needed. They now maintain a full list of keywords for our products and services.

What is the team composition?

We have two main points of contact.

How did you come to work with GoldenComm?

They were a referral from an assistant company within our organization.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $150,000–$180,000 for their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We partnered at the beginning of 2015, and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They reduced the cost of our campaign by about 50% while maintaining the conversion rate and even increasing the traffic.

How did GoldenComm perform from a project management standpoint?

They lead the project and make sure we’re meeting goals. We hold monthly meetings to monitor performance, and they send out regular reports on what they accomplished and the next steps. We don’t use any project management tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They always want to improve their work, no matter how good they were already doing. Unlike other firms, they provide recommendations that give us better results even though it doesn’t benefit them at all.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. We need to follow up on their recommendations.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Don’t be afraid to ask for results that may seem hard to reach. It may take them a few weeks, but they’ll come up with a plan to get there.
