The client set out to elevate their platform as a long term destination for entertainment and commerce, with a clear focus on modernizing the user experience, refreshing the visual identity, and creating a scalable foundation for future growth. badpixel® partnered with Glued to define and deliver a Phase 2 website strategy that streamlined how users discover content, shop merchandise, and manage their accounts, all while staying true to the dark, entertainment first brand established by badpixel® in Phase 1. 

Rather than focusing on isolated pages, the work centered on clarifying the overall experience architecture, strengthening the connections between content and commerce, and ensuring that core account features like favorites and order history could support deeper engagement and future initiatives. This strategic approach positioned the platform not just for immediate usability improvements, but for ongoing expansion of offerings, campaigns, and monetization opportunities.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The partnership between badpixel® and Glued was viewed as a clear success by the client, who expressed strong approval of the strategy, positive feedback on the project, and genuine happiness with the final output. The refreshed Phase 2 experience and clearer content to commerce pathways have driven a significant increase in adoption across both sides of the ecosystem, with show hosts and channel partners more actively using the platform, and listeners and fans engaging more frequently and deeply with shows and merchandise. This momentum has given the client confidence to move forward with Phases 3 and 4 in the new year, focused on introducing additional monetization funnels and channels built on the solid strategic and experiential foundation established in Phase 2.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As a startup, I probably get 10 cold call emails per day.  Every agency promises the world, but up until Glued, no one delivered.  When I got their pitch (which was definitely unique), I met with them but ultimately because I had been burned so many times before, I chose to pass.  BIG MISTAKE.  I then hired two subsequent agencies who were total charlatans, spent big money with less than zero work product or results.  So, I called Glued back up and they delivered big time:

• Doubled my site conversion, not once but twice.  Once in BFCM with NO help from editorial.  And once in January with a new home page.
• Doubled my revenue for BFCM.  That's right, doubled.
• Increased my AOV by triple digits.  Yes, triple.  Now I also launched a new product, but without them, I believe the AOV would have gone down.

Remember the old days when America was full of can-do attitude, before the pandemic?  When it wasn't like pulling teeth to get people to just deliver the bare minimum?  Yea, me too.  But I am not exaggerating when I say that Glued has restored my faith in competence, work ethic, efficiency, passion for the work, understanding my culture, delivering on time, exceeding expectations, being dipolatically honest when necessary, and the list goes on.  Glued is old school and new school all wrapped up in one.

Not sure if Glued and my company are cut from the same working cloth, but working with them feels like they are actually part of my own team.  The copy they write?  It's as if I wrote it in my own founder voice, but better.  The visual esthetic they choose?  I have NEVER had to redesign anything.  They just get me.  They get my brand, they get the mission, they are totally aligned as if they are part of my company.  And they are simply a joy, at all times.

DTC Garage approached us with a well-thought-out design proposal. They pitched us on testing and tried things we could implement on our website to improve the conversion rate by adjusting product, category, and home pages. They provided concepts, wireframes, and then end-to-end design and implementation. We consulted with them along the way, and they were receptive to feedback and largely quite timely with their work.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our conversion rate improved from 1.7% in October to roughly 2.3% in January. Overall, very happy with the look and feel of the design and feel as though it gives us the upside to continue to improve. Before the redesign, we had problems converting cold, new traffic via Google Ads or social media ads, but have had much more success since implementing - so its impact goes a bit beyond what the conversion rate would imply.

Project manager was very communicative, but when she was out for a week and a half or so, there was a bit of a breakdown, but otherwise everything was timely. When we wanted to iron out a couple of things in January after the project wrapped, they ensured that was were successful and helped us out. Overall happy with communication and the work.

We are still in the development process and unfortunately do not have metrics to associate successes with DTC Garage's work (The new website). However, with the help of the DTC team we have revamped our homepage hero and our conversion rate has significantly increased!

The Project Manager we were assigned really helped make the project feel seamless.There was constant open communication about the progress of our deliverables. Our action items were clearly outlined and our project manager always followed up helping keep us on track to meet deadlines.

Deliverables were sent on time and if there was any sort of delay our project manager was quick to inform us of the new/updated timelines. The entire team has been responsive to our needs, questions and concerns and always willing to go above an beyond explaining the reasoning behind all of the UI/UX being done. I can't say enough good things about this team and what they're capable of producing.

The redesign also aims to make the site more accessible to French-speaking customers.In addition to the redesign, Glued has created multiple landing pages for our marketing initiatives. The team has also done ongoing conversion rate optimization (CRO) work, including harnessing apps such as Rebuy and improving PDPs to increase average order value (AOV).

Glued completed a full website revamp with measurable results from the first month of the website being live. The website objectively brought our brand to life significantly better than what we had before in terms of imagery and copy. It was also much more intuitive to navigate.

For the most part, we stuck to our timeline. Any delays were minimal and for good reasons. Glued was a great communicator, and there were rarely (if ever) any surprises. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Glued clearly cared about their clients, as shown by their consistent effort and strong communication. When you combine that with their expertise, we were extremely satisfied.
