We hired Global Media Desk for filming and video support during our bi-annual meeting in Brazil to have local support. They also filmed one local interview in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We worked with them to pre-plan the schedule, locations, and interview questions. We then filmed ten interviews over the course of two days in multiple locations and b-roll footage for editing.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Some measurable outcomes from this project included completing filming on schedule across multiple interviews and locations and a timely upload of all the footage remotely to our partner in New Zealand.

The project team, with our producer Sebastian, was very quick to respond to any needs or questions ahead of filming to make sure we were all on track and on schedule. For the first interview in another location, they were able to patch us in remotely.

Global Media Desk has a great setup with local video support globally that helps us with our own carbon footprint and sustainability as that is a main focus of our work. The team was consistent, dependable, and responsive to any of our questions and needs ahead of filming and was flexible in their approach to cover all our needs across two days of filming.

The videographer filmed an interview for a piece that is going into a documentary. He set up lighting, audio, and the beautiful shot, as well as interacted with the talent.

We very much appreciated the team at Global Media Desk for their swift action in a potentially very stressful situation for us. We are based in California and needed to conduct a last-minute interview in Geneva, Switzerland. The team at Global Media Desk acted with immediate, clear, professional communication. They did an amazing job on the shoot. 

The videographer, Bryann, exceeded our expectations and the footage is exactly what we were looking for. Sebastian helped guide us through the process and it was seamless from start to finish. For what projects/services did your company hire Global Media Desk, and what were your goals?

I had the pleasure to work with Global Media Desk in the production of 7 different videos for each country of the conference's regions, and they just did an outstanding job.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After reviewing several proposal and speaking with each vendor the team from Global Media Desk provided security because you can tell they have the knowledge and experience to produce what we were asking for.

The project was for the unknown landscapes of the Latinoamerican Region, for 7 different regions. They first provided a script, then a storyboard and then a great selection of music for us to choose from for the videos.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

There are several things that I especially loved in working with Global Media Desk with Javier and Jose and their team; they are great listeners, they listened to our ideas and feedback and they were able to deliver the product with little guidance.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our client loved the videos, they were extremely happy and it transported the whole team to different areas in their regions in a virtual way. This was a total success amongst the employees and organizers of the event. Some have even requested the videos to continue to show them internally.

They captured the idea from our first meeting. They were diligent, fast, organized and extremely detailed. Their suggestion of imagery and music was so on point with what we wanted to achieve. I loved that they were always available to help with any adjustments or questions we may had and the videos during the whole conference were a total success.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How I could trust them with the timeliness and the idea we provided them. They were quick to capture the idea and get it right.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At this time, I am extremely happy with all the work and how they were so transparent about the things that we could and couldn't do. At this point I will say continue doing what you are doing because you are doing it right.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I work at a prominent university in Boston Massachusetts in the United States. I am a senior instructional media producer there. I help faculty to develop media for their online courses.

For what projects/services did your company hire Global Media Desk, and what were your goals?

We have a course with 250 undergraduate students. The faculty member wanted her students to really understand what life was like for regular people in Latin America during the 16th century. To accomplish this, she wanted to try to use VR/immersive media. My goal was to find an expert filming team to film in two historic locations in Mexico.

SOLUTION

How did you select Global Media Agency and what were the deciding factors?

I did a Google search and GMD came up immediately. I loved what I read about them and immediately reached out. Javier contacted me promptly and had a great vibe, enthusiasm and understanding of production issues that made me feel very good about a potentially challenging project.

A huge challenge was feeling confident in working with a crew remotely during the pandemic.

The videos are very short “fly on the wall” tours of two historic locations. One is a UNESCO world heritage site. I explained the course’s goals and the videos’ requirements to Javier and he instantly knew a producer who would be perfect for our needs. That producer then contracted with a crew in Mexico City.

Javier and I had several planning email threads with the crew, and then, right before each shoot, we met as a group online and finalized all the filming details as well as our post-production needs. The crew was kind enough to acquire an ambisonic mic for us, they made extra audio recordings, and were very creative on location. They gave us several different exports which was a tremendous help, and the producer provided a detailed list of everything that was on the three hard drives they sent to us of the media.

I am doing the editing myself, and so this level of detail and organization saved me a lot of time.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Javier. The feedback/communications with him were flawless, productive, and fun!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’re still in post-production, but after the first shoot, I sent one of the stereoscopic 180 clips to the faculty member and she was floored. She had never had a 3D video experience before and got emotional about how well the clip captured the essence of what she wants her students to understand.

Javier was very responsive and thorough at every stage of the project, and brought significant ideas and suggestions to our work together. Global Media Desk thought of everything and provided exceptional services.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It’s nimbleness. That GMD has connection to professional crews all over the world at the tips of their fingers is amazing and very confidence inspiring!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not at all. My experience was flawless and I will use GMD over and over again.

The decision to work with GMD was made before I was hired and I have been pleased to work with them throughout my time here.

Typically, when we hire GMD, we already have the full production ready to shoot. They are great about collecting all of the details and executing shoots perfectly every time.

We typically work with the director of internal operations who is very responsive and incredible to work with!

We have been thrilled with the footage provided from each shoot and our clients have loved the videos we've built using it.
