My company provides wellness benefit to companies, and I am the Corporate Chief Business Officer.
For what projects/services did your company hire G&L Group, and what were your goals?
My goal was to have a tool that will allow us to manage wellness programs with customers.
How did you select G&L Group and what were the deciding factors?
we have evaluating 3 other IT providers, and they have the right balance between reputation and cost. In addition, they met the technical requirements we have defined in our RFQ.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The idea was to develop different modules in the platform: module to apply massive members uploads power BI dashboards to be display in the platform posibility to upload company details, and invocing information and others. the platform was developed with dot net.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
we had 5 people working for this project 1 PMO 1 tech lead 3 developers
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Most of the things that were developed and tested were working well, and all the deviation of the project came from vague infrastructure and architectural specification from our head-office
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
they have worked with an agile methodology and we have bi-weekly meetings to follow up the degree of progress. Usually after every month we were testing some of the features that have been developed. After finishing the project they have delivered all the related manuals of the application developed. They have met most of the deadlines that were setup.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The team that they have assigned to work for us, was very professional and they stuck to the agenda and deadline very strictly. In addition, the team always provides a critical thinking and systemic view of the requests, that helped us to improve the solution that we were creating to manage our clients. I would certainly like to keep working with them because I consider G&L a solid and trustworthy provider.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Probably they could increase the interaction with our head-office much more, without the field participation.
