I’m the founder of The Lifestyle Physiologist, a company designed to help people improve their lifestyles through exercise and diet.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with GenUp Digital?

Our website was initially set up for a different purpose, which was to try and get people to become members of our group. But the website wasn’t working for us and wasn’t bringing in any business because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Since the original website was built by GenUp Digital, we asked them to redesign it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired GenUp Digital to redesign our existing website and handle our SEO efforts. We started the engagement by discussing what I needed to change for people to be able to find me and discover the services I provide. GenUp Digital set up the site to lean more towards personal training, created backlinks, and changed some of our keywords.

GenUp Digital provides ongoing customer support, SEO, and web design services after the initial launch of the site. We’re still making small changes to the site to make sure that I’m continually recognized by Google and that I continue to get business.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact is Gavin (Founder).

How did you come to work with GenUp Digital?

Gavin and I went to university together, so I’ve known him for a long time. But it was through social media that I found that he’s now developing websites, and that was when I approached him for this project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around £6,000 (approximately $7,400 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

GenUp Digital has helped my business to be seen, and people now find me on Google. I’ve had a lot of business come through my website. Around 90%–95% of all the inquiries I’ve received have resulted in new business for me.

How did GenUp Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

GenUp Digital has performed well in terms of project management. They’re incredibly transparent — there have been no surprises. They always make themselves available, and they’re quick to attend to my questions and requests.

We typically communicate through Zoom meetings, email, and phone calls. They also use a tool to walk me through the changes they’ve made and some of their findings regarding my website.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with GenUp Digital’s top-notch customer service and design expertise. But what has been helpful for me is their aftercare. They’re still willing to support us even after the site’s delivery.
