Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the commercial director and a board member at an aggregator company. We work with insurance agents.
What challenge were you trying to address with Gemini?
We have a very targeted group of people we’re trying to advertise to, so getting our ads to the right audience was challenging. Most of the time, our information got in front of insurance customers when we aimed to target insurance agents, which is a smaller group.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Gemini provides digital marketing, PPC, and SEO services for us. They’ve helped us retarget and enhance our marketing and provided new methods of advertising, such as LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook. The team has helped us with PPC to improve our results for our ad spend. They’ve also helped us place some video content we wanted to get in front of prospective insurance agents.
As for SEO, they’ve focused on improving our organic search results and done keyword research. Gemini has also optimized some pages from our website and advised us on thumbnail and picture updates that might make our site more compelling for visitors. Additionally, the team has given us insight into content marketing by suggesting articles we could write.
What is the team composition?
I’ve interacted with team leads, such as the paid search lead. However, they have teams that we don’t interact with directly.
How did you come to work with Gemini?
We were almost ready to sign up with a big firm, but when I read through their contract agreement, I realized it didn’t work for us. Then, I went to Google, got in touch with around five advertising agencies, and interviewed them. We selected Gemini because we liked their services and pricing. Moreover, we read through the contract and felt really comfortable with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $50,000–$100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our recruiting has increased by nearly 100%, so our sales have roughly doubled. One of the challenges with ad companies is that they overpromise. Meanwhile, Gemini has been very good at explaining what they’ll do and doing it. Although that doesn’t always guarantee results, and we understand that, the team has been very transparent and defined the scope of work well.
How did Gemini perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re excellent at project management. Most importantly, they’ve delivered what they said they would. They’ve stuck to the scope of work and communicated throughout the project.
Basecamp is our primary day-to-day interaction tool, which is nice because we can interact with various team members. We also have bimonthly touch-base Zoom calls where we do an in-depth review of everything that’s happened since the last meeting. We also use email for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Gemini’s biggest distinguishing feature is that they listen better and ask better questions than others. When we were choosing a partner, they understood what we were trying to accomplish better than the competition did.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only challenge in working with them is that they do very technical work, and I don’t have marketing expertise. As a result, sometimes it’s hard for me to understand why something should and shouldn’t be done a certain way. However, I wouldn’t say this is an issue with their communication, but the gap in technical knowledge sometimes makes it difficult for me to understand the strategy.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to clearly communicate what you’re looking for, the scope, and the deliverables. You need to feel comfortable that the deliverables will get results. We were confident that if Gemini could do what they said, the clients would come because I know your business better than they do.

I’m the global director of e-commerce for a sunglass company. We sell a wide variety of styles of polarized sunglasses.
What challenge were you trying to address with Gemini Advanced Marketing Solutions?
We were trying to ramp up our digital marketing efforts. Gemini Advanced Marketing Solutions created a program to boost our results.
What was the scope of their involvement?
To drive traffic to our e-commerce site, they established Google Ads campaigns in four countries. This year, we expanded our efforts across eight countries in total. They also manage Facebook Ads as well.

We work with a director of paid media, a senior paid media account manager, and a social media strategist.

We found them through a referral. We chose them because they aligned with our values. When we interviewed different companies, Gemini Advanced Marketing Solutions had a deep understanding of the space we were trying to engage in. They also had great processes in place and a really solid team.

They’re driving traffic to our e-commerce site, which in turn, drives revenue. They’ve also delivered a great return on ad spend.
How did Gemini Advanced Marketing Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
Communication has been great. We have status calls to keep us on track, but we also use email. Slack, Basecamp, and a variety of other tools to keep us on track.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I really appreciate their strategic approach to the project. They bring a lot of good ideas to the table and then they execute what we need. I can rely on them to follow through on our strategy. They measure everything so we know whether the project was successful, which helps me communicate how our engagement is going to others in my organization.
I also appreciate that they’re willing to adapt, whether that’s how we communicate or go about certain processes, so we can find what works for our partnership.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We give them feedback on a regular basis, so we’ve let them know when there has been room for improvement and they’ve already implemented those changes.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would recommend that new clients have a quick strategy session with them. They’re going to prove that they can help you achieve your goals. They have a great way of thinking through problems, coming up with good solutions, and then tracking that so the client gets what they want.
