gang&lani media keeps me authentic; they’re all about positioning me and making me noticed. My followers and engagement have increased, and I’ve had comments on the look and feel of my Instagram account.
In general, I’ve had nothing but positive responses. Trust, service, knowledge, and integrity are what matters in real estate; it’s not about what I’m showing. When someone I haven’t met reaches out to me to ask for advice or hires me out of 65,000 agents in Toronto because they follow me on Instagram, that speaks volumes.
Also, one of the things that drew me to them was their methodology, reasoning, tactics, and execution. Many social media companies use cookie-cutter practices, but they don’t. gang&lani media customizes our strategy from the word go.

They take the timing into account. In my business, the most important things from a timing perspective are listings and sales. Also, the team is process-oriented and responsive. If we need to showcase something on our social media, they’re creative and prompt to do it.

I’m the owner of a small business called Cook with N.K. where I sell baked goods online.
What challenge were you trying to address with gang&lani media?
I reached out to gang&lani media for the rebranding of my company's image.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I initially hired gang&lani media to help me brainstorm branding ideas for my company, specifically to change the logo and brand colors. They sent me several iterations of my logo and color schemes. We started narrowing it down to a couple of options, made a few revisions, and then finalized those options. Then, I needed assistance with designing food labels for all the products that I sell, so I contacted them again. We did thank you cards and business cards. Also, they assisted me with creating a template for a marketing campaign on social media.
Right now, they’re helping me with the design of my website. I already have an existing website that needs improvement, and they’re going to be doing website development for me. I started working with them for one service, and because I like their work, I've continued using them.

I don't have any metrics because we just launched everything. However, when I launched my new logo and label, I received very positive feedback from all of my customers who love the new image. I’m also working with a food consultant who helped me get into certain stores. When I shared the image with her, she loved it, too.
At the end of the day, I was looking for a certain image, message, and colors in my logo, and they delivered on that 100%. My new logo and brand colors will help me break into a new and premier market.
How did gang&lani media perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate via email and through Google Drive for the website. There are so many documents that need to be accessed, so we created a Google Drive to store them.
They’re professional, always on time, and always communicate if something is not on schedule or running behind. They’re very good at communicating with me and keeping me in the loop. If I request something, they go above and beyond and got that done.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The value for your money and the service that we get was most impressive. The ability for them to understand my message and deliver on that 100% was priceless. I service a niche industry, so I wanted to make sure that I worked with someone who has an understanding of my customers.
Also, their ability to give me so many options to pick from was great. What I love most is that they go above and beyond to take care of the small details. All of that helped me, as a small business, save a lot of money.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’d recommend that they create a drive for customers from day one, where documents are stored. We exchange a lot of emails when the work is done, and it was a lot for me to keep up with. I have to keep going back to my emails and download all the documents whenever I need them.
Any advice for potential customers?
Do your research and have an understanding of what it is that you want. No one can come up with something that's in your head—you have to deliver your message in the most articulate way so that the other person gets immediately what you're looking for.
Also, be prepared to be slightly flexible because sometimes you are presented with some options that you didn't know could work and end up being a great option. Take a few days of your time to understand what it is that you will be working with.

We’re a rehabilitation facility that provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, massage, foot care, and more. We’ve been open for three years, and I’m the owner.
What challenge were you trying to address with gang&lani media?
They helped us with and advised on our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They started out by building our website from scratch, making adjustments to it as we grew. Along with that, they handled all of our SEO and digital marketing. They also produced all of our written and promotional documentation, including posters and flyers. Whenever I needed a new poster for new programs such as our antigravity treadmill or cancer rehab program, they were great about putting together nice graphics and language. Additionally, they were involved in creating content for social media on Instagram and Facebook.
What is the team composition?
Sanju (Co-Founder) took the lead on most of the work, but he always had 2–3 other teammates working on the website or other tasks. As we expanded into new focus areas, different teammates got involved. Sanju would always oversee the work, add his comments, and make changes as he saw fit.
How did you come to work with gang&lani media?
They were recommended to me by a sales rep that I was buying equipment from. He’d done quite a bit of work with them and suggested that they were a reputable team. He thought we would be a good fit to work together. I decided to meet them for lunch to discuss their work. We had a great chat and really connected, so I decided to hire them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent over $10,000 in our first year together but less than that in the second year and a half. In the first year, we were spending an average of $1,8000 each month. We decreased our spending with them when COVID-19 hit.

We’ve been working with them since around January 2018.

We’ve received excellent feedback through Google Reviews and our client surveys. They’re always very impressed with our website and graphics. We have some exterior transparent ads on the outside of our windows on the building, and I get plenty of praises about those as well. For instance, they handled the window transparent ad for the antigravity treadmill, and we’ve seen increased inquiries and patient bookings as a result. I trust them to produce great work with very minimal input from me.
How did gang&lani media perform from a project management standpoint?
There were several people involved, but I really trusted Sanju’s judgment in overseeing their work for me. Sanju would regularly come out to my location to collaborate, and sometimes other teammates would come as well. Otherwise, we communicated very easily over email. Sanju is super quick to respond. We have meetings as needed to stay on top of projects and review their work. It’s never had to get in touch. If there was an issue with a design, they were more than happy to start over. We were never on different pages.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m not particularly creative, but they were way ahead of me in understanding my business and bringing new ideas to the table. Sanju is very compassionate and understands the medical environment. The team has a good understanding of rehabilitation, therapy, and how patients are feeling in these environments. They have a natural empathy that really comes across in their work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they were great. If COVID-19 hadn’t hit, I’d be using them even more for consumable marketing.

Understand from the start that they’re a talented team that’s willing to listen to the intended message for marketing materials. They have an understanding and empathy for the market, and it really seems like they care about the clients they’re working for. Give them the requirements and information, and see what they bring to the table.

I’m the founder and CEO of Common Assembly, an online retailer of women’s clothing. We’re a brand focused on spreading kindness to women through fashion, and we’ve been in business for about a year and four months.
What challenge were you trying to address with gang&lani media?
We hired gang&lani to work on our online presence and on our efforts to convert more people to our website. We started small and took on Google Ads first. Then, we decided to include Facebook Ads and social media marketing in their scope of work. At present, they do everything under the sun to get us out there and attract customers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
gang&lani works on our SEO campaigns on the backend of our website, helping us with Google and Facebook ads. Recently, we added to their scope, so they now handle our social media marketing campaigns to increase customer engagement.
Before they came on board, I was managing ads and I had an idea of who our targets were. Then, gang&lani broadened the search and gave us a wider range of customers. At present, we’re targeting female customers between 20–40 years old.

In the first two months of engagement, they doubled or tripled our return on ad spend (ROAS), which has grown by 2.3%–2.4%. When they took on our social media efforts, we decided to revamp our aesthetic under their direction. As a result, our feed is looking a lot better. We’re also getting a 30% increase in engagement.
We’ve had steady growth, and gang&lani has proven themselves throughout the engagement. I feel comfortable using more of their services slowly but surely.
How did gang&lani media perform from a project management standpoint?
I talk to the gang&lani team via email and WhatsApp, and they’ve been highly responsive. They’re a part of our Monday business reviews now since they handle so much of our business. We also have Tuesday meetings with Natalia to go over our social media efforts. On top of that, we speak with them multiple times every single day.
What did you find most impressive about them?
gang&lani doesn’t overpromise and underdeliver. They tell us what they can do, and they usually do better than what they tell us upfront. They’re honest with where they see us positioned in the marketplace and what needs to change to get us to the next level. I truly appreciate this transparency even though some of it has been hard to listen to. They’ve helped us improve and get where we need to be.
For comparison, other marketing companies told us that everything looked good and that they could grow our ROAS in two months. However, that had never been the case. They only came back with excuses, telling us they could never guarantee success or that our website didn’t convert. With gang&lani, we only have upfront conversations about what needs to happen to achieve success.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any. They’re the best experience I’ve had in a year and a half of being in business, so I’m very happy with where we’re at right now.

We hired them to basically take the stress of marketing off of our shoulders. We wanted someone to help with our social media and online presence. There are a lot of dental practices, so we were looking for a way to stand out.

How did gang&lani media perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very responsive. I email their team and we use WhatsApp to communicate. I usually get a response within 30 minutes, if not quicker. Our teams typically meet quarterly, but sometimes it may be more often than that. I talk with them quite often — we pretty much have daily touchpoints.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I have nothing negative to say about them at all. They’ve always been very responsive. They include us in all of their ideas — we have a big team effort. I love working with their team; I can’t imagine working with anyone else. They are awesome at what they do and they’ve done a great job.

No, anytime I have a concern, I can reach out and get a quick response. I can’t think of anything I’d want them to change.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Payment processing is a very convoluted industry. To achieve our goals, gang&lani media piggybacked off of what my principals as a person were and how I wanted to bring my personality to the brand and to the business. For example, they came up with our referral program of providing new clients with a bottle of champagne.
They completely overhauled our marketing for us. They started off designing our business cards. From there, they took care of everything from social media, to pamphlets, to designing our website and logo. They also have a social media ambassador program. We’re just starting out with SEO and PPC now, too.

It’s really exciting to work with them because we were able to see the growth through marketing collateral. They’re able to breathe life into the brand. The champagne promo is very well known now and it makes something that could be mundane more cool, hip, and personable.

The team is always available by phone and email. We also use Basecamp for project management. Their communication is good and they usually have a lead project manager we could contact. They’ve never dropped the ball on a project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their personability stands out. They’re not pumping out websites for the sake of pumping out websites. They actually sit down and understand their client’s business and vision. They guide and encourage where needed in order to get the best results for our business. They’re there because they care. They've really become our family and friends.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could come up with more blunt suggestions for our marketing to stay ahead of the curve, rather than just in it. Not to say that they haven’t brought great ideas, but if we had implemented SEO and PPC earlier, we would’ve seen a bit more traction earlier on.
