I’m the director of an IT services company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Game App Studio?

We were executing a project for a client working on a water softness IoT product. Our job was to bring the data to the cloud. We needed Game App Studio to develop a mobile and desktop application because we didn’t have the resources to create the platforms ourselves.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had to build the app before the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) guidelines were enforced. Under a critical timeline, Game App Studio developed an iOS and Android application using React Native. The apps were built as a cross-platform application so that we could target users of both platforms simultaneously.

We work with their assigned team lead and a group of app developers.

How did you come to work with Game App Studio?

Our team evaluated a few companies that specialize in cross-platform development. We chose Game App Studio based on user reviews and after speaking with one of their developers.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around 25 lakh rupees (approximately $33,000).

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started in July 2018 and is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We received a great product from Game App Studio and delivered positive results to our customer. They were initially engaged for four days of development, which expanded based on that evaluation. After viewing the initial product, we received an additional set of requirements and that work is still going on.

Game App Studios has had a positive impact on our business, as well as our customer’s.

How did Game App Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

We handled the project management, but Game App Studio had input in choosing the resources who’d be working with us. Their team was collaborative and integrated well.

We used Slack and WhatsApp for quick communication. We can share screenshots and other messages while on the move.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Under an intense deadline, Game App Studio was extremely helpful and responsive. They’ve done a fantastic job in that aspect. Regarding capabilities and resource availability, they were adept at finding the right kinds of people and made a product through which we could demonstrate our capabilities. We were lucky to find Game App Studio.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Game App Studio is a bit expensive compared to other local companies. They expected payments in advance, and our invoices usually take a few days to process. It is difficult for any company to pay in full before the resources are engaged. Their team is gaining our trust. As our partnership continues, we hope they’ll improve.

Other than that, everything was fine, in terms of execution.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

When providers give estimates, they should stick to those. Usually, when starting a project, our team will provide a set of requirements that we expected to finish at a certain cost. With Game App Studio, the cost was double our expectations. They charged us for issues they were fixing, even though those issues were made by them. At least 50% of our cost was due to fixing their mistakes.
