The app—built for iOS and Android—allows users to operate heating, cooling, and ventilation within a building. The FUNTASTY first analyzed the existing code and our project needs. They then rewrote parts of the app and finished the project.

We worked with a project manager, a UI/UX designer, a few iOS and Android developers, and several testers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The FUNTASTY met our deadline. We’ve released the app into the App Store and Google Play and are now working on new functionalities.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project ran smoothly from start to finish. We had daily stand-ups and regular face-to-face meetings to clarify open matters. We also communicated via Slack and Jira.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team had an open-minded and personable approach. They always found solutions to our challenges.

I can’t think of anything significant.

I'm the lead Android developer at a small fintech company called Rubicoin. We have two mobile apps, Learn and Invest. Learn is a small app, with a book-like format, with which we teach our users the basics and fundamentals about investing. Invest is our subscription-based flagship app, through which our team of expert analysts recommends stocks.

We wanted to launch the Invest product on Android and speed up our iOS development.

They worked to get our Android app for Invest on the same level as our existing iOS app. We then added a QA engineer from The FUNTASTY to our project, who has now been with us for over a year.

We worked with an Android developer and a QA engineer throughout the engagement. We also worked with an iOS developer on an occasional basis.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our apps have run smoothly, with a 99.85% rate of crash-free sessions over the last few months. We’ve also had very few support tickets from customers. Refactoring has helped us keep up to date with the latest technologies.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We communicate through Slack, Jira, and Confluence, as well as Zoom for meetings. Our conversation through Zoom was always effective, and we stayed on top of implementation, scheduling, and fixes through our channels. Our in-house team had whiteboard discussions, drawing flows and edge cases, and we kept The FUNTASTY informed through Jira and Confluence. They hit almost all deadlines, and their QA engineer established an almost perfect QA flow.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have an outstanding passion for IT, a sharp eye for detail, and they’re flexible. They never took development shortcuts. Their ability to take on changes fits well with our startup culture.

We had a few scheduling difficulties but resolved them easily.
