Communicating Public Service Offerings
PROJECT:
Create a brochure representative of all that the public services department offers to encourage contact and interaction, driving awareness, brand recognition and civil support.
• Use a visual approach to share information without overwhelming the reader.
• Design a creative solution for including all of the necessary information.
• Make the traditional 8.5” x 11” tri-fold brochure format look.
• Create a design that is interesting for readers, easy to follow and encourages action.
• Use images to convey the primary messaging and to reduce the amount of text.
RESULTS:
• The project was delivered ahead of schedule and right at budget.
• The department was thrilled with the final product, and the Public Services Director even hung a large-scale version of the illustration and Florence by Numbers panels in his office.
• The new brochure stands out in the welcome basket and provides new residents with accurate and necessary information for them to settle into their new city.
• The section ability of the brochure has allowed parts of the piece to be highlighted on their website and social media.
• The new brochure has been placed in every public services vehicle to be ready to hand out and share with the public.
• The mayor also complimented the project and praised the final product. Data since the introduction of the new brochure includes incremental increases in downloads of their new app, increase in calls to Public Services offices and a rapid depreciation of the initial print run.

Marketing for Pizza Franchise
"This was one where we had absolutely no issues."

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Marketing Director of a regional pizza franchise headquartered in Kentucky. Our franchise has 47 locations throughout KY, OH, IN, and TN. I oversee all marketing and advertising initiatives for the company.
For what projects/services did your company hire FUSIONWRX?
One major challenge we were facing was our perceived lack of community involvement. We didn't do a good enough job of getting that out to the public. FusionWRX has done a fantastic job helping us let our community members know of the good we have done while not sounding like we are boasting. Their PR knowledge is second to none. The team at FusionWRX is extremely knowledgeable about the printing industry and having something tangible for our guests was a must. They were able to help with the layout of print materials with recommendations on size and paper based on their years in the business. We also wanted to have a digital version of our print material so we hired them for web design..
What were your goals for this project?
Our main goal was to increase brand awareness and showcase our deep ties to the communities we are located in. We also wanted to convey our franchising opportunities to those that think our brand would be a good fit for their community. Because pizza is a food that is generally consumed by groups (family & friends) we wanted to develop a campaign that would bring families together to see the wonderful cities that we have locations in. We were looking to create a program that would be fun and educational while benefiting our outlets.
How did you select this vendor?
We had worked with FusionWRX on a few other smaller projects and they have always gone above and beyond to deliver. Once we decided what we wanted to move forward with the campaign, we knew we didn't need to reach out to another agency. FusionWRX was going to be our agency to help bring this idea to life.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Once FusionWRX was selected to help with this project, we had a series of meetings and phone calls to discuss the timeline and overarching ideas/goals of the project. Once they had an understanding of what we were trying to achieve, they went to work. They worked on the creative concepts for print collateral, radio, and digital. They reached out to organizations in our local communities, explained what we were trying to achieve, established relationships with them, and ultimately created partnerships with them that we likely wouldn't have been able to do on our own. From the initial meetings to the launch, FusionWRX never missed a step and always delivered on-time with excellent content and ideas.
What was the team composition?
I worked closely with 3 members of FusionWRX team. We've met several times in-person and many times via a conference call. There are many others that worked on the project that I didn't work directly with. There were web developers, graphic designers, and content curators that worked on the project. After seeing the final product, they did an excellent job communicating our vision to the rest of their team.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The campaign delivered an 11% lift to our web traffic and an increase of 16% in new visitors to the site. 120 earned media placements which contributed to a 118% lift in traffic to our online ordering pages. The campaign resulted in a feature story on one of the top industry related websites and garnered several awards from the Ohio Travel Association and Indiana Tourism Conference. The results far exceeded out expectations!
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The account executive at FusionWRX that I worked with was very easy to communicate with and always available. We spoke over the phone weekly and communicated through email/text multiple times a week. They met every timeline we established and never missed a deadline on this project. Their timeliness on deliverables was executed flawlessly.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I was impressed at their capability to create a marketing piece that wasn't coupon driven for a company in an industry where everything is about a coupon/offer. Their ability to create awareness for our brand using non-traditional techniques was something that will keep us partnering with them time and time again.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I am 100% satisfied with the way everything went. There were no surprises and everything went smoothly with this project. I'm sure they all won't go this way but this was one where we had absolutely no issues.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing manager of the oldest private coin mint in the country. We’ve been in business since 1835 and have several different divisions. We make everything from tokens for coin-activated mechanisms like car washes, laundromats, and family entertainment centers, and custom commemorative coins, up to high-end fine silver collectibles.
What challenge were you trying to address with FUSIONWRX?
They provided copy as we needed. We were reintroducing our Osborne Mint brand and needed someone who can write about everything we’re releasing direct-to-consumer.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They provided copy as we needed. We were reintroducing our onboarding mint brand and needed someone who can write about everything we’re releasing direct-to-consumer. They helped with PR and our blog for a new division.
What is the team composition?
Ed (Director of Marketing, Communications & Design) does the majority of our copywriting and another woman, Chelsea (Marketing Coordinator & Designer), often provides some insight and chimes in.
How did you come to work with FUSIONWRX?
We’ve worked with FUSIONWRX’s parent company.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in about March 2019 and the collaboration is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were able to get our name out there so people can see what we’re producing, and then having content for our web site. Content is king when it comes to SEO and Google rankings. It also gives us content to post on social media. Overall, it helps draw people in to see our offerings.
How did FUSIONWRX perform from a project management standpoint?
We’ve had a hiccup or two, but most of it stemmed from COVID-19. I was okay with that, and I think we came to a good resolution and have a clear path moving forward.
We email and call. They’re also very close, so I can visit them if it weren’t for the pandemic.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Ed writes really well. He always comes up with an interesting point of view for the blog posts we’re talking about. He does a lot of research and is very detail-oriented when it comes to hyperlinks and the information we’re sharing. Again, he is really good about including inbound and outbounds links, pictures, and meta descriptions, so we get as much traffic as possible.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It was a one-off kind of thing. We got off track for various reasons and things just got away from everybody. Of course, COVID-19 could have been a contributing factor.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a clear of what you want and supply them with ideas for blog posts and press releases. I could have been more forward by supplying more information and a more detailed plan.

SEO & PR Service for Financial Services Firm

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the director of marketing for multiple branded financial services companies in seven states across the United States. I oversee in-store and digital marketing, brand experience, UX/UI, and other elements that drive profitable growthfor the company.
What challenge were you trying to address with FUSIONWRX?
We were not satisfied with one of the agencies we were working with at the time. I wanted to make sure I was working with people who were competent and accountable as well as consolidate the work with a team that I knew would be as focused on delivering results as I was.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They manage about half of our ongoing SEO efforts, including directories management and things of that sort. Their team also provides public relations support and digital advertising support, and they work closely with our other partners to provide all kinds of additional supplemental work as we need it, such as digital ad design.
What was the team composition?
I work with about three members of their team. I have one main point of contact who handles the communication and makes sure that everything we need is being taken care of, and then I also interface with their lead on the digital ads and PR teams.
How did you come to work with FUSIONWRX?
I had known Byron (Business Development Director) from a previous engagement at another company, so as soon as his non-compete was up I reached out and included FUSIONWRX in the review process.
The partnership started small, it has grown every month as they produce continual results. They are now considered our 'point' agency and manage a majority of our digital marketing as well as some non-digital efforts.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our work together started in November 2018 and is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
December 2019 in particular was a record month for the company in terms of performance. It beat decades of performance, and I think that a significant portion of the credit for that success is due to the excellent work that FUSIONWRX has performed for us.
Our sales volume and customer count both had significant double-digit increases over recent months, despite our space being highly competitive, very mature, and very commoditized. They are very innovative with the little things, finding opportunities that might otherwise be missed.
We view the collaboration as an investment rather than a set spend, and we invest more in the work as it delivers increasing results. Our budget with them has increased exponentially under their stewardship, which I think speaks to the value that we are seeing from their work.
How did FUSIONWRX perform from a project management standpoint?
They are very responsive, and they’re always focused on doing the right thing, often even when that’s more than we had explicitly asked from them, which we really appreciate. Their team goes out of their way to identify issues and solve them or provide options to me that are in addition to what I would expect from a normal service provider.
We have leveraged their team's expertise in the latest tech, tools, and UX best practices to our great benefit. They’re technology forward and service forward, and they care about our business objectives almost as much as we do, which is truly remarkable.
Without fail, FUSIONWRX listens carefully to what I say and either provides advice on why that isn’t the best way to go or pivots quickly to that when they recognize that it’s a better solution.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The level of honesty that you get when working with them is pretty atypical in the agency world. They don’t hide anything, and it’s really a no BS relationship. Their team is very competent at what they do, and they are always willing to learn and balance their strengths and weaknesses with ours so that they can bring an incredible amount of value to the areas where we need it most.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we are constantly learning and improving but there’s nothing I think that they need to be doing differently in terms of their process or their attitude. The experience has been a fantastic working relationship across the board.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Pick up the phone and call them. I have yet to find a team that is as honest about what their capabilities are and consistent in following through with what they promise, so if you’re looking for that kind of relationship, they are the team for you.

Print Marketing for Private Ohio Catholic School
"More than anything else, they’re reliable. I can give them a project and count on them to get it done."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of enrollment management at a private Catholic high school in Ohio.
What challenge were you trying to address with FUSIONWRX?
We needed help with creating and sending marketing materials out to prospective families.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I have about 12 different touch points that I do with perspective families. FUSIONWRX helps on the creative side of things, along with producing and mailing the product. We recently changed the paper and format of our mailings, and they've worked with us to get that schedule in place and rolled out. Moving forward, we're looking at partnering with them to handle some of our advertising buys and media buys such as billboards and radio. We’re also exploring some other creative ideas in terms of promotion.
What is the team composition?
Over the years, I've worked with the owner of the company and several people who are no longer there. Ed (director of marketing, FUSIONWRX) is our current account manager.
How did you come to work with FUSIONWRX?
We've been using them to handle our printing needs for a while. They expanded their offerings, so we decided to use them for the creative services as well.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We've been working together for about 10 years, the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Parents tell us via surveys that the marketing played a part in their enrollment decision. We’ve gotten only positive feedback on the material in terms of the way it looks and the way that information is presented.
How did FUSIONWRX perform from a project management standpoint?
I've really enjoyed working with Ed. He does a great job of managing time and resources. In the past, their response time wasn’t so great but it has improved since Ed took over the account. He does a fantastic job of turning around projects quickly. He’s always on top of the timelines.
What did you find most impressive about them?
More than anything else, they’re reliable. I can give them a project and count on them to get it done. Also, we don’t have the largest budget but their cost structure is very good for us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Previously, I thought they could improve by offering to help us with additional parts of our business. They're starting to branch out and handle more responsibilities than just our print campaign. So, they are actively working on that now.
Any advice for potential customers?
Many times we go in with preconceived notions of what the projects are supposed to be. Go in and talk to them and be open to their thoughts and ideas. They will do what they can to learn your business and your products in order to best serve your overall needs.

"FUSIONWRX is always willing to bring new ideas and provide their expertise in areas that we may not have the same level of knowledge about."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work at an institution of higher education. My position is to market our programs and attract students at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
What challenge were you trying to address with FUSIONWRX?
We had a variety of different challenges. We were trying to increase not only the quantity, but the quality of our applicants as well.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We worked with FUSIONWRX to create a personalized marketing campaign. It utilized some information that we had about the student leads. FUSIONWRX helped us execute those leads from both a creative production and distribution side. It was primarily direct mail using printed materials.
How did you come to work with FUSIONWRX?
They were recommended to us by a member of our advisory council. We worked with FUSIONWRX on a small project and were very happy with the results.
How much have you invested with FUSIONWRX?
We've spent $10,000 to $50,000 in our projects with FUSIONWRX.
What is the status of this engagement?
I believe we started working with FUSIONWRX a little more than three years ago [2013]. The first project took place over a couple of weeks. We continued to hire them for other projects on an ongoing basis. Now, we've collaborated with them for several years. Some of the projects are one-offs. Others are part of a campaign where we plan various mailings that go across a four- to six-month period. We've probably done more than a dozen projects with FUSIONWRX. Now, they do the majority of our projects.
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
Since working with them, we've had record enrollments and record applications. We've also had record student quality at both the application and the enrollment level. We certainly feel that the tactics that we have partnered with them on have played a part in that. There have been multiple areas and tactics so, honestly, these results are not just from FUSIONWRX.
How did FUSIONWRX perform from a project management standpoint?
From a project management standpoint, FUSIONWRX is great. We have one main contact, but we have dealt with multiple members of the team there. We haven't had any issues since they're very proactive. When they have comments or concerns about what we were doing or planning, they were happy to reach out to us. They provided us with advice and options.
What did you find most impressive about FUSIONWRX?
I just think they have had real quality results. They viewed us as a partner and not just a client. FUSIONWRX is always willing to bring new ideas and provide their expertise in areas that we may not have the same level of knowledge about. They offered ways to reduce our costs by making some slight changes to the materials or the execution steps. We appreciated that.
Are there any areas FUSIONWRX could improve?
No. We've been very happy with them as a vendor.

Wordpress Development for Tennis Company

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I have a tennis court supply business and a tennis court construction business based out of Cincinnati called Schubert Tennis. I started the company about five years ago and am still growing. I am the Founder.
What challenge were you trying to address with FUSIONWRX?
I wanted to have a better website and be able to reach my customers better. Now, if someone Googles tennis court supplies or tennis court refurbishing, my name pops up right away. I wanted a much more fluid website that describes what I do.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed a website and did some SEO. They did a tremendous amount of content development. We’re in the process of the social media part and are working through WordPress.
How did you come to work with FUSIONWRX?
I knew the owner. He’s a very trustworthy guy, has an excellent company, and has a great reputation. He introduced me to a couple people on his staff that were doing the majority of the work, and they’ve done a great job with me. They’ve exceeded my expectations. We’re about to go into a training session on how to make upgrades and add things to the website.
How much have you invested with FUSIONWRX?
We have spent $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
It is ongoing. We just took the website live about a week ago. We started in 2014 - probably January.
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
It’s still too early. Most of the work is done for my business.
How did FUSIONWRX perform from a project management standpoint?
Excellent. They respond back all the time. I’ve worked with Molly and Ed, both of whom are professional and energetic. I think they’re more excited about this website than I am. That says a lot when somebody cares that much about it. They’re very good at accommodating my time and schedule when we need to meet.
What did you find most impressive about FUSIONWRX?
Their enthusiasm and professionalism distinguishes them from others. I am completely thrilled with what they’ve done for me and my company.
Are there any areas FUSIONWRX could improve?
Not really. The biggest problem has been my lack of time. I am happy.
FUSIONWRX successfully created a print and digital campaign that increased web traffic and visitors. The results exceeded expectations. They created awareness using non-traditional techniques, which was impressive.
