We wanted to improve the user experience for referring physicians using our application.

How did you select this vendor?

We received referrals from other hospital systems that have used them to develop the application.

Describe the project in detail.

The purpose of this application is to improve the patient referral process for physicians, so we want to make it easier. Our app provides end-users in the smaller hospitals in the system with an efficient way to reach the center of displacement and relocation of patients who need extra care. We also want the application to provide physicians with useful resources such as clinical guidelines and protocols. We receive the right to the product model our system on one used by other hospitals, so we have to use it as a guide and adapted it to suit our needs. Fusion Informatics team walked us through the process from design to implementation and ongoing support. They also guided protocol developed by our team to ensure that everything works smoothly in the application. On top of that, they consulted with us to evaluate the workflow we needed to modify to improve UX.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The team is honest, fair and willing to do extra work at no cost to fix the problem. To be honest, I really liked their support and ideas for our medical application. From the requirements gathering phase to the design phase of the user interface, from the development phase to the test phase, my expectations have been met and surpassed. How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They work well with our team. Healthcare billing is especially complex and there’s a lot of documentation, especially dealing with Medicare. They were great at understanding the flow of what we needed and when we needed it and what needed to happen when a particular item was dispensed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Fusion Informatics is responsive to our issues or questions we had. There is no time lag between we contacted them and they at least let us know they're working on it. The implementation of our requests is usually less than a day. They understand what we are trying to accomplish. They are far and above the others that we have worked with. They took the time to understand our business so that we are developing software works for our business. Already impressive.
