360STORIES is a location-based virtual storytelling platform for travelers.

What is your role at the company?

I am the Chief Executive Officer of the company.

What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you approached Frontjet?

We were looking for a redesign of our project. We wanted to improve the speed and loading times of our overall platform and so we needed to improve the HTML and CSS coding.

What were your company’s business goals for the project?

We were trying to update the whole system within budget and time frame.

Can you tell me about the scope of the project?

The project mainly involved improving our 5 main heavy loading pages as well as some small standard pages.

What was your process for selecting Frontjet to work with?

We were looking to work with the best team. The update was so important, we couldn’t risk giving it to a new team. Frontjet was the best team that we had previously worked with.

Can you give us a sense of the size of the project in dollar terms, a price range would be fine as well?

We have spent between $35,000-$38,000 for the total work, including content creation and system update.

When was the project completed?

The project was completed in March of 2016.

What were the results of the project, and are there any metrics you can share? What have they helped you achieve as a company?

The results were fascinating. Frontjet helped us improve the overall platform. The number of bugs per functions/pages created became extremely low. Additionally, the project was done quickly and came in under budget. They performed perfectly well.

When working with them, was there anything unique or special about them compared to other companies that you may have worked with?

They do everything with a perfect and positive approach. They knew which technology or which code style was most fitting for us and they became an extension of our team.

When any communication was required, everybody always available and they were answering within 10-15 min.

Looking back on the project, is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?

I would like them to include us more in the design stage so there is more of a collaboration. That is what they might consider doing with us next time.

With Frontjet, we have done 10+ design projects for e-commerce and lead generation sites over the last 12 months.

They have been a long-term partner of ours.

We spend $5,000 per project, so around $50,000 overall.

We are very satisfied clients. Frontjet delivered on-time and allowed us to have great scalability in web development.

Frontjet has great communication skills and is very attentive to detail.

Our company is building a real-time settlement protocol/network for banks.

What is your position?

At the time of working with Frontjet, I was leading a team of developers, building several UIs for different products at the company.

Frontjet helped our frontend department on different products. We are working on an ongoing basis.

How did you come to work with Frontjet?

I know Mesrop, their owner, personally. We’ve worked together for a long time.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The expense has been around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our main 2 projects were discontinued, but we’re still working with Frontjet on an occasional basis.

Could you share any feedback from this engagement?

Frontjet helped the frontend team by bringing their expertise in frontend technologies, which included setting up the projects, choosing the right tools, connecting different parts, and defining the right standards.

How did Frontjet perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re very satisfied with their work.

What distinguishes Frontjet from other providers?

Reliability is their strongest asset. There have been couple of times when tasks took them more than planned, but they were always very reliable.

Is there anything Frontjet could have improved or done differently?

Just make sure to give them exact instructions on what needs to be done.

Please describe your organization.

We specialize in risk management for companies in the financial sector. Our clients are banks, insurance companies and, to a smaller extent, news agencies. We have operations across the world, with a big market share in Europe, especially in Germany. We also have business in the US and a couple of clients in Japan. We have about 100 employees.

What is your position?

I am a managing partner and founder of the company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What business challenge were you trying to address with Frontjet?

We are in the process of switching the entire company over to data and mobile operations. All of our employees are concentrating on creating a database with a service-oriented architecture that will respond to requests through a custom API [application program interface]. We needed to outsource all the frontend development for our solution. All our mobile and web applications are executed by different partners.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement.

Frontjet designed the prototype for our web application.

How did you come to work with Frontjet?

A friend who liked Frontjet on Facebook recommended them. We executed fifteen test contracts with different potential partners and evaluated the performance of each.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The total cost of the project has been below $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Frontjet one year ago, and the project is ongoing. The application has been launched and is being enhanced with new features.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

I liked their work. We needed far fewer feedback loops with Frontjet during development than we did with other vendors.

What distinguishes Frontjet from other providers?

Frontjet came up with solutions that we weren’t even aware were possible. For example, that we could implement scrolling text, mouse hovering portions, and so on.

Is there anything Frontjet could have improved or done differently?

The partnership was rather good, and we are considering using them for other projects. However, they could be better. For example, every link on a page should be blue, even if that color is not “correct” within the color palette of that page. In my opinion, consistency always beats design.
