Feedback summary:

Frontier Marketing is exceptionally reliable and responsive. They’re good-humored and genuine people to work with. In about 8 months, their PPC campaigns were developed and used to successfully fill 45 of the 58 beds available at the new facility, and the cost per acquisition is at an all-time low.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

Our company is Lumiere Healing Centers. We have a 30-bed detox facility in Jupiter, Florida, and a 58-bed full continuum treatment center in West Chester, Ohio. Both centers are private companies, not publicly held. I am the corporate director of marketing. I oversee the marketing for all the facilities.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Frontier Marketing?

Upon opening our new 58-bed facility in Ohio, we knew that we would have to do some aggressive online marketing. I was one of the only people in marketing at the time, I could not handle all of it alone, and Frontier Marketing was brought on board to manage and run our pay-per-click [PPC] campaign.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Frontier Marketing handles all of our pay-per-click campaigns. We had just opened a facility in Ohio, which took us out of just the local Jupiter, Florida market and into more of a national scope. We have been working closely together as far as the expansion, and working to maintain a certain cost per acquisition. They are also running A/B testing to really make sure we are as efficient as possible, and to make sure the overall cost per patient acquisition stays beneath a profitable point so that we have a good margin.

We wanted to build everything from scratch, and I relied on Frontier Marketing to do the keyword research. They would always provide good feedback. On a regular basis, we will look in the news to see if anyone famous has checked themselves into rehab. All of a sudden, someone might be searching for that person’s name, and any information about them in connection with a rehab, instead of searching for our services specifically. We have collaborated a lot in order to really bring the overall account to an excellent level of efficiency.

As far as the website goes, which I handle, they gave me feedback on the designs and the content. Frontier Marketing really handles the copy on landing pages and the design there. We continually run A/B tests, and test pages against each other to make sure that we are getting the best results we can.

What is the team dynamic?

Daryl [Daryl Johnson, CEO, Frontier Marketing] and Charlie [Charlie Chance, Director of Paid Search, Frontier Marketing], the 2 members of the team I work with, are very easy to work with. They have great personalities and a good sense of humor. We keep things light.

How did you come to work with Frontier Marketing?

When I came to Lumiere, there was already a connection with Daryl at Frontier, so we just continued down that road. They have continued to prove themselves well, and we have been with them ever since.

How much have you invested with them?

We have spent approximately $65,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Frontier Marketing in December 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When I joined the company, our new facility had 6 people checked in. Since that time, we have increased the census to over 45 people, out of 58 beds available. We anticipate we will be at capacity by the end of August. Within an 8-month span, we have been able to adjust, get to a level of efficiency, and build out campaigns to get us to almost capacity. We couldn’t ask for anything better than that. With Frontier Marketing’s help, for the month of July, our cost per acquisition is the lowest that it has ever been.

How did Frontier Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

We talk as needed about expansion of the campaign. If I have a question, update, or if something comes up that needs to be attended to at any time of the day, whether it is a weekday or weekend, I get a response usually within the hour. They have been excellent. We have an hour set aside per week to talk over the phone; however, our communication is primarily over email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Frontier Marketing really understand the industry that we are in. Even though the drug and alcohol treatment industry is part of healthcare, specifically, it is a niche. It has so many little intricacies of its own, that it is tough for people on the outside to come in and totally understand many of the nuances of the industry. I am very impressed at how well Daryl and his team grasped it so quickly. This was one of the things that helped me the most. When I came into this industry, it took me at least 6-8 months to really grasp and understand everything that is involved.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not from what we are doing today.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the chief communications officer for two renewable energy providers.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Frontier Marketing?

We did not have an in-house digital marketing team. We wanted to grow our online presence.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Frontier Marketing has been an incredible consultant and executor of many of the programs that they recommended. We work in very strong collaboration. For the most part, our target audience is homeowners, non-profits, select commercial entities, and schools. Together, we developed our objectives and strategies for how and when we were going to market to each audience. We also worked with Frontier on improving our website and other digital assets. We get a lot of things done simultaneously and we work well together. We are constantly planning new projects and executing them. If we have to make any changes, they are made on the spot. It's a very active and dynamic operation and Frontier are experts. Everything happens at rocket speed and we have a really good collaboration.

Frontier built most of our digital assets, including the development of our Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest for both solar companies. When we began working on one of our websites, it was built on a general template, and Frontier recommended that we move it to WordPress. In the next week, they expanded and optimized the website to include additional pages. We are currently working on creating a keyword list for one of the websites. Frontier Marketing has done extensive research and write-ups on the keywords for one of the particular industries, which is relatively new. They've done a fantastic job at optimizing our websites in a timely and affordable way.

How did you come to work with Frontier Marketing?

I’ve actually worked with the principal at Frontier for a number of years and was considering a few other providers prior to selecting Frontier. The expertise at Frontier is incredibly better than any of the other organizations I talked to. Their expertise is very strong, broad, and dependable.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent about $20,000-$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in July 2016 and continue to work together.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Prior to working with Frontier Marketing, our website had no visitors. Since moving it to WordPress, we received thousands of visitors in a week’s time. The number of weekly visits to the site went from 300 to about 3,300. The content that they’ve produced and changes they made have accurately reflected our brand. Their expertise in this space is really phenomenal and highly dependable.

How did Frontier Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

On a scale of 1-10, 10. They are very good and the expertise is amazing. Our communication is by phone and email primarily. We do some texting. We could meet in person at any time, but it would slow us down. Inside a work day, we might use all three. We do a lot of short meetings and we communicate often.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their expertise is, by far, the most impressive thing about Frontier Marketing. They have a dynamic and superior understanding of the digital marketing space. It's what they do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. What they do, they do really well. We were hacked one time and Frontier came in and handled it. They identified the source and helped us get back on our feet in record time.
