I’m the product owner of glimble by Arriva. glimble by Arriva is a smart, all-in-one travel app that makes getting around the Netherlands simple and seamless. It brings together trains, buses, trams, metros, and even shared bikes, scooters, and cars into one easy platform, so you can plan your entire journey from door to door in just a few steps.

We needed to find an agency to takeover and further develop our site and shop.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Glimble was looking for a partner that could help us realize our ambitions. This partner helps us understand our requirements and use our existing tech stack to develop our site and shop into a full and customer-friendly sales channel for our innovative services, both now and in the future. FocusReactive has taken over the entire technology stack of our previous supplier and replaced the backend while keeping the frontend active.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The initial takeover of our site and shop was a success. The site is faster and more stable. Improvements are built quickly and are of good quality. The whole stack is more stable, development costs have gone down, and the user experience has improved greatly.

How did FocusReactive perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve gone above and beyond. They’re knowledgeable, fast, and really involved. They’ve taken over the existing project and made it theirs in no time. They deliver on time and with good quality. We communicate through Slack, email and videochat.

What challenge were you trying to address with FocusReactive?

Our website was stored in a static framework, and our blog was stored in WordPress. We wanted to bring both into a more modern, adaptable solution that made it easier for us to update.

FocusReactive built our pages to match our design specifications and migrated our blog to Payload CMS.

We were looking for an official Payload CMS agency partner and chose FocusReactive for their high technical understanding, personable team, and proven track record.

We worked together from September–December 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

FocusReactive delivered on time and was very quick to respond to feedback and small changes to the specifications as the project developed. The team was super flexible and communicative.

How did FocusReactive perform from a project management standpoint?

FocusReactive was always available over Slack and quick to respond.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Maksim, the primary developer on our project, was excellent. He helped us iterate quickly on specifications as the project evolved and consistently understood what we were trying to achieve. He genuinely felt like an extension of our team throughout the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Q&A and testing could have been slightly more thorough, but the team was receptive to this as feedback. And the end result was fantastic.

The main deliverables included the MVP completion and infrastructure setup in Next.js, Mastro AI, database embeddings, caching improvements, and email integration.

FocusReactive's work led to feature adoption and an increase in the number of emails sent. We also saw performance improvements and a reduction in the number of bugs reported.

FocusReactive delivered on time and had great project management. The business development manager was on top of everything and proactive all the time. We mainly communicated through virtual meetings.

We searched on Upwork and in other places, but found FocusReactive through Crystallize.

We wanted to create a fully functioning headless ecommerce site based on our existing shopify website. We ended up using a fully headless tech stack, build around Crystallize, Vercel, Nextjs and other headless providers.

We were super happy with the end result. We proved to ourselves that we could build a fully functioning headless e-commerce site from scratch in a short time period.
