A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Empyreus Beauty, a beauty products brand.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fluid Films Productions Inc?
I needed some photography services, as well as a promotional video.
What was the scope of their involvement?
To start, we collaboratively came up with a storyboard. They recommended what would work best based on their opinion and insight. They took several photos and helped us create a theme. From there, their team filmed and edited a commercial for the launch of a new product.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with Paul (Producer & Director).
How did you come to work with Fluid Films Productions Inc?
I was sent a link to some of their work. I liked what I saw and reached out to them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from September–October 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The commercial came out great. The launch has been successful so far, with several clicks and some sales. The images are very eye-catching, too. I’m completely satisfied.
How did Fluid Films Productions Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team did great at managing the project and was very available. We communicated mainly via phone, with some text and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They showed genuine interest in our success, which is unlike other companies. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of involvement Paul had through the entire process, too.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, there isn’t anything to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have ideas ready to show them to help move the process along. They will run with it to help you achieve your goals.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO/OWNER of Empyreus-Beauty Products sold exclusively on Amazon.
For what projects/services did your company hire Fluid Films Productions Inc?
For each product I sell on Amazon there is a listing that requires photography and video. Each product has 6-8 Images and a video to demonstrate what the product is/does etc. I hired Paul to do the photography and to make a video/commercial of my Blackhead Vacuum.
What were your goals for this project?
To have beautiful photography and videography of my product. I wanted something better than my competition's.
How did you select Fluid Films Productions Inc?
I found Paul originally online. He had amazing reviews and a wonderfully marketed service. I saw samples of previous work he had done and I was impressed.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
I explained what I wanted. We had several back and forths thru email and a few phone conversations to go over my ideas. His expertise was extremely helpful in steering my ideas in the right direction.
His experience and my vision helped us to create work that reflected my vision. On this particular job, we kinda followed a template of his previous job for another product. We followed a similar formula.
It was rather easy to come up with what we both thought would represent my products best. It was easier than I anticipated.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
Everything was great. I am relatively new to the Amazon world and selling products online. I am not sure exactly what to write here, other than I am very pleased with everything. The actors he used were fantastic. The production value was amazing. It was all very well done and smooth!
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
My product is selling very well. It is very clear that my images and video are far better than my competitors.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Great workflow. Easy. Enjoyable process. Paul understands my wants and needs. He extracts all relevant information in a friendly way- he put all the ingredients together to make an amazing final product
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Production value was great. Easy to work with. I have worked with many freelance professionals on sites like Fiverr, for example, and I can say my experience with Fluid Films was a step above the rest.
I felt very confident about the end result from the beginning. With other companies in the past I have been unpleasantly surprised too many times. The costs were reasonable. Nothing was misrepresented. Any edits or extra requests were handled amazingly well.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Honestly....NO.

Testimonial Video Series for LED Light Company
“Fluid Films did a great job of setting the tone so that our clients were at ease during the filming process.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the VP of marketing and communications at Noribachi, an LED light manufacturing company, before the company was sold.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fluid Films Productions Inc?
My department was responsible for creating unique content for our brand, and I worked with their team to produce a six-part testimonial series about some of our local clients.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They worked with us from the beginning to the end of the process, starting with writing the script and questions for interviews with the CEOs or heads of operations of our client companies. The videos were each about two minutes long, and we used them on both our social media feeds and websites.
During the filming process, which took place in both our production facility and at the facilities where the lights were installed, they acted as a second set of eyes and ears to help facilitate getting the best answers and shots that we could. From there, they helped work with us on the post-production editing and then delivered the final product.
What was the team composition?
I mostly worked directly with the owner, but they had a small team to handle lighting and boom audio during the filming process itself.
How did you come to work with Fluid Films Productions Inc?
We considered a few different companies, but they seemed like the best fit for us for a few reasons. One was our budget for the project, which as a startup is pretty small.
Beyond that, we had a pretty aggressive timeline for the project that they were willing to meet, and Paul (Owner) had more of a consumer product background than a technical one, which was really refreshing and made the engagement a little bit easier to manage from our end.
How much have you invested with them?
In total, we spent a little over $40,000 on their work.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project took place in January 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their attitude at the beginning of the project was invaluable because it created a lot of confidence on our team that we would be able to accomplish something that we previously hadn’t been entirely sure whether or not we would be able to accomplish.
On top of that, they were able to turn a video about lights in a steel cutting factory and the inside of a ship into a really cool visual spectacle by working with the background and some of the shots to maximize the visual appeal and really highlight our products in the best possible light. The feedback and excitement from our CEO and sales department was fantastic.
We posted the videos to our social media page and gained a lot of traction there, but they have also been really useful as a sales tool on our website. Since some of our products are shown in such detail there, it is nice to be able to point our customers in that direction so that they could see the features and options much more clearly.
How did Fluid Films Productions Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
The people we were working with weren’t actors, and Fluid Films did a great job of setting the tone so that our clients were at ease during the filming process. That allowed the final videos to feel much more like a conversation than a constructed interview.
Because it was such a tight timeline, Paul came down really early on to get to know our owners and understand their view and more about our organization. It was clear from the get-go that they really cared about getting this right for us.
From the moment we set out our milestones, we were the only ones who ever caused delays in the timeline, because they were always on top of what they needed to do. And even while doing that, they were persistent without being pushy, which we really appreciated.
What did you find most impressive about them?
For this project, the best thing they provided was the ability to understand our goals and then take the video beyond that. We needed testimonial videos that showed our lights and showed the facility, which they were able to accomplish, but they added effects and meaning that made a mundane commercial something that was actually visually catching and impactful in the end.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’m sure everyone can improve in some way, but at the end of the day, they delivered more than what we asked for and stuck to our deadlines completely, so I don’t have anything negative to say about their work.

Video Production for Eyewear Company
“They really listened to our vision.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the director of photography at an eyewear company. We made sunglasses and goggles.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fluid Films?
We hired them for video production.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our CEO started the Belgian Waffle Ride, which is a cycling race. Fluid Films came on to cover the race, and helped cover eight cars. We scouted the course together, and assigned a navigator, photographer, and possibly two cinematographers.
They used a range of cameras from RED, DSLRs, and drones. We filled about 5 terabytes of data with all of the footage we got. They also did all of the editing, sound, music, graphics, and animation.
What is the team composition?
We worked with around 10 people from their team.
How did you come to work with Fluid Films?
We were introduced to them by a mutual colleague.
How much have you invested with them?
Our budget was $30,000–$35,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together May 2015, and wrapped up editing in August 2015.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We had an entire crew of people that knew exactly what they were doing. We didn’t have to conversation, they understood exactly what we worry about them whatsoever, which was insanely comforting and professional.
After just one conversation, they understood cycling, and always got to the spots we needed them to. They were very friendly and even housed me in LA one night when I needed a place to stay.
How did Fluid Films perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicated via email and verbally talked things out.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It was nice being able to sit back knowing when I handed them the footage that something great was going to come of it. I’d seen their work prior, and was excited for this outcome. They really listened to our vision.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Everyone can always improve. It was our first big race coverage so there were definitely places where we all could have done better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice to listen to them. They have good ideas and they’ll bring your vision past what you thought it could be. Allow them to take chances, since there’s a high likelihood you’ll like what they come up with. Don’t be afraid to take chances.

I am owner operator of CEA entertainment. I provide video systems for touring concerts.

I hired fluid films for video content for the James Taylor tour in 2014

Goals were to get 2K original content to support the various songs in the 2hr show.
How did you select this vendor?
I have worked with Fluid Films on other projects and had great success.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
The Video’s were to support the lyrics for songs in the set list. I asked Fluid Films for some specific shots we needed and left some creative power in their very capable hands. They were spot on!
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
The process was seamless and efficiently executed.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
One of the content pieces was so effective that management cut the clip short because the crowd was more focused on the video rather than James Taylor himself!
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Work flow was between our teams was quick and adjustments were easy and rare because communications were great. Clear and effective.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Fluid has the ability to understand needs and recognize opportunity’s to cost effectively capitalize within the productions guidelines and budget.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I only wish we had more time and money to invest in Fluid Films services! As with any project hindsight is 20/20. In this case we all felt we got the best bang for our buck!

Video Content for Division of Physical Sciences
“The creativity in their shooting and interviewing was remarkable.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the public relations manager for the Division of Physical Sciences at UCLA. It’s my responsibility to promote the achievements and offerings of six departments within the division. That involves all of the scientific research and academics that are offered by our world-class organization.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fluid Films Productions Inc?
We wanted to make a short video that encompassed the quality of our education, research, and community service. It was important to make the sciences feel human and accessible, rather than cold or unapproachable.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They started by providing us with a proposal that detailed how they visioned the video based on our initial conversations and RFP. From there, they came up with a schedule and plan for shooting. They assisted with some casting decisions but didn’t take that responsibility entirely. Then, they took care of all the filming and editing of the project.
What is the team composition?
We worked with about four of their teammates, including a project manager.
How did you come to work with Fluid Films Productions Inc?
I put a call out to my colleagues within the film industry. We wanted to engage with a creative partner to approach the sciences in a new, interesting way. I received recommendations for several companies that would be able to achieve our vision, and their team was one of them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $40,000 on the project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2019, and our teams are still collaborating.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’d recommend them without reservation. All of their work was conducted with the highest level of professionalism. Additionally, I greatly valued the creative offerings the main filmmaker brought to the project. The level of quality that was delivered blew our internal staff away.
How did Fluid Films Productions Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
We needed to film with a very should turnaround time in mind, and they were willing to work hard to collect all the footage on our deadline. They were communicative, professional, and hard-working. I never felt that I had to worry about any logistics because they were on top of project management.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The creativity in their shooting and interviewing was remarkable. They were fantastic at conducting conversations with our interviewees. That resulted in amazing stories that came out on camera. I knew his portfolio was beautiful, but watching him conversationally connect with very senior scientists was a joy and surprise.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We encountered a few snags along the way, but they were always able to pivot and respond to the situation. So, I can’t think of anything constructive for them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don’t hold back your questions, comments, and concerns. They’re very responsive to feedback and feel that it helps them do a better job. From there, just trust that they’ll do a good job.

“They were very laid-back and fun while still remaining professional.”
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the creative director of a skateboard company called Dusters California.
For what projects/services did your company hire Fluid Films Productions Inc?
We tasked Fluid Films Productions Inc with producing and directing our video campaign for our Fall 2015 product lines.
What were your goals for this project?
In addition to showcasing our new collection drop, the videos needed to translate to our fans the freedom and adventurous lifestyle one gets when using our skateboards.
How did you select this vendor?
We found Fluid Films Productions Inc by word of mouth. They had delivered similar projects before, and others who had worked with them were happy with their results.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
For the video campaign, we were looking for a desert vibe that was hip and young, so location was key. They were able to scout out the perfect spot in Palm Springs where they did all of the photoshoots and downhill/action videos. Their equipment was optimal for the situation, and they used appropriate accessories to get the best action shots. Additionally, they had great eyes for post-production, picking the right soundtrack and editing the videos in a fun, stylish way. The final deliverable was well-branded, and we now use it on our online channels.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
They had a four-person crew to scout the location and shoot the video along with a drone operator.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The videos have been some of the most engaging pieces on our social media, earning many shares and likes. The overall look and feel really helped us enforce our brand identity, and, we’ve seen great sales as a result.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Overall, we had a great time working with them. The communication was very easy, and they provided constant feedback to help us achieve the results we were looking for. Our skateboarders were also very pleased to work with their cameramen. Fluid Films Production Inc made sure that the atmosphere was cool while still being able to delegate everyone to get the video done on time.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I was impressed by their ability to translate my ideas into a great final product. They were very laid-back and fun while still remaining professional.
Are there any areas for improvement?
They handled our project quite well for what we had them do. However, we would like to push bigger projects with them to test their production capacity.
The video produced by Fluid Films Productions Inc is performing well, helping the client see traffic and sales. The team was unique in its dedication and passion for the project. They brought a strong approach to the work and ensured the engagement flowed productively.
