A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of Strategic Aim Consulting. We’re a small management consulting firm specializing in leadership and management training that encompasses sales, negotiation, and business development. We even do some sourcing for large companies on the procurement side.
Also, we’ve been dealing with market research — both quality and quantity — that a company might need to put a plan together. Then, we’ll often write plans and be involved in implementation.
What challenge were you trying to address with FlareMark?
I needed a new website. My former one was 12 years old and stale. FlareMark came in and offered a competitive rate and great ideas I wasn’t getting from my previous vendor. The objective was to increase traffic and make it more user-friendly.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They beefed up our social media marketing and enhanced some of our keyword search rankings. Their team was also instrumental in designing the aesthetics, look, and feel of the website. They helped it look more updated and professional.
What is the team composition?
I only worked with Harvey (Principal Consultant).
How did you come to work with FlareMark?
It was through a referral. One of my consulting partners knows Harvey personally and had him do the website for his company.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement started in August 2020. We have some refinements to do, and I’m implementing social media recommendations.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The website exceeded my expectations. It’s too early to see any impact yet.
How did FlareMark perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate through text, email, and Zoom calls. We held some initial calls to get to know each other.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Harvey’s extremely thorough and focused. He’s fast in getting things done. He works hard; I get emails from him late at night and early in the morning. He’s truly devoted; it’s constant work to deliver.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any areas that need improvement. FlareMark is a startup so there’s a natural learning curve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Manage the expectations on the client-side so they know exactly what they need to do from a content-development standpoint.

Web Development Projects for Supply Chain Consulting Company
"They provided a lot of insights that we hadn’t considered before."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a partner at Sterling Solutions, a supply chain consulting firm specializing in perishable products.
What challenge were you trying to address with FlareMark?
We needed to create a more professional image and simplify our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
FlareMark came up with the concept of creating a subdomain within our website, which keeps different service lines separate, connected, and organized. In essence, they created two separate websites that are linked together. It was almost entirely new development.
What is the team composition?
We primarily worked with Harvey (Principal Consultant).
How did you come to work with FlareMark?
I had a personal relationship with Harvey. I knew of his background and was very impressed with what he could do.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since July 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t highly publicized the site yet, so we don’t have feedback from users yet. However, we’re pleased with their work. They didn’t just act as web developers, but as business consultants. They provided a lot of insights that we hadn’t considered before. They even continue to tweak things to make it better.
How did FlareMark perform from a project management standpoint?
I can get a hold of Harvey through text, email, and phone calls. He’s very accessible, even in off-hours as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They provide much more than just the actual website development. FlareMark looks at the project from a business development perspective, providing insight into what needs to be done to provide deeper penetration.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing I can think of. FlareMark could accentuate some of the things they do really well, but that’s it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The key is to have that initial call with FlareMark. They’ll be able to help you understand the value and expertise they can offer.
The website and deliverables exceeded the partner's expectations. FlareMark implemented an effective project management style and maintained several channels of communication. They work quickly and are truly invested in the partner's objectives. Collaboration has been seamless.
