BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

Viacom Influence, Creative Director

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Five to Sixty?

Production Services

What were your goals for this project?

Create memorable, impactful social media video content.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Five To Sixty offers expertise in their field at competitive market rates. Nic and his team are solution-oriented and work tirelessly to make great products.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We selected Five To Sixty with very little time left in our process, knowing they were capable of pulling together the right crew that would be able to make our robust plan happen. From assembling an all-star team of talented crew, to troubleshooting timeline and budget issues along the way, Nic's team did everything humanly possible (and even a bit more) to ensure we got the results we hoped for.

What was the team composition?

I worked directly with Nic, the owner, and his head of production to connect with our selected director and we worked through the production plan as a team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The videos delivered over 1000% above our engagement KPI (a signal of great content quality) and beat all projections for Impressions (a signal of shareability).

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very simple and straightforward. No production of this magnitude goes without bumps, but Nic and his team were always capable of finding solutions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Five To Sixty's ability to pull together a talented crew and manage tight timelines for budgets that are much too small for the project goals, speaks to their professionalism and dedication to their craft.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No production is without room for improvement. In this case, scoping expectations in more detail upfront may have saved some communication headaches down the road, but in general, any issues that came from that were handled appropriately and without detriment to the project itself.

The projects were always delivered on time and embodied high-quality, expert work. The Five to Sixty team remained an effective partner throughout each collaboration, bringing the same level of expertise and dedication to the work. Their receptive nature made them an excellent partner.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a freelance agency producer. Essentially, I handle the bids and estimations for productions, as well as finding the right vendor for the project.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Five to Sixty?

For various projects at the agencies I’ve worked at, I hired Five to Sixty to provide full production services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Five to Sixty, throughout multiple projects, provided custom content. Depending on the customer’s needs, they’d create everything from ads or commercials to longer-form videos to convey stories. The videos ranged from 30 seconds to over four minutes.

Nic (Executive Producer, Five to Sixty) was involved in the pre-production, as well. He put together decks for meetings, helped with finding talent, scouted locations, and essentially served as a producer and director.

What is the team composition?

Nic was my day-to-day contact. We also worked with a great director of photography, line producer, and editor.

How did you come to work with Five to Sixty?

I’d worked with Nic previous to him starting a production company. Once he went off on his own venture, I thought Five to Sixty would be well suited to work with us.

How much have you invested with them?

We worked together roughly between May–December 2017.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our budgets ranged from $30,000–$100,000 per project, depending on the client.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The work they produced was very top-notch and professional.

How did Five to Sixty perform from a project management standpoint?

Their whole team was super responsive. Everyone got back to me quickly when I needed them and delivered on their promises. If any issues arose, they handled everything behind closed doors, so the whole process was very professional.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were a very efficient, nimble team to work with. One of the benefits of working with a smaller agency is that they could move quickly without needing several layers of clearances and policies. Their team was great at getting in, making it work, and producing the final product.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any suggestions for improvement. I think they’ll just continue evolving into the company they’re destined to be.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s a great idea to work with Five to Sixty. Whether you’re filming a talking-head interview, an action-oriented video, graphic animation, or a comedic video, they’ll be able to figure it out.
