Josh and his team are incredibly knowledgable when it comes to anything google. From the first meeting we had with them we were confident that we were going to get results that matched the goals we set with the client. We communicated through slack, and Josh provided consistent updates of ads, reports, etc to keep us in the loop. In addition, they optimized the campaign quickly to adjust for cold and warm traffic so the media spend was not being wasted.

What was the team composition?

We worked specifically with Josh but if I understand correctly he had a team of technical workers who built out the actual campaign in google.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were extremely happy with Josh and his team, and the only reason we ended the project was due to the time zone differences. This was 100% on us, and not to do with the Farsiight team. ] I would 100% recommend Josh and his team for anyone looking for digital marketing solutions, specifically to google.

We were looking to grow our digital marketing spend, specifically in Google Ads.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We already had a good strategy for Google Ads, and we brought Farsiight on to help us refine the strategy, pinpoint the indicators that we should be following for success, and improve our return on ad spend. Their team researches keywords, competitors, and different trends that they see in our industry. We have monthly meetings to talk about our future plans and how they can help us move into those goals.

What is the team composition?

We have a main point of contact, and then we’ve worked with a few different account reps.

How did you come to work with Farsiight?

We found them through word of mouth.

How much have you invested with them?

For Google ads, they manage between $7,000–$10,000 a month for us. They are on a monthly retainer.

What is the status of this engagement?

It’s been over two years. We began working together around March or April 2018. They’re the longest-running Google partner that we’ve had. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our return on ad spend has increased. We’ve also increased our repeat orders. I’d say that across the board, we’ve gotten stronger in the different categories that we’ve explored with them. When they’ve named different categories of expansion, we’ve gone into them, and over the past two years, we’ve probably doubled within those categories.

How did Farsiight perform from a project management standpoint?

Farsiight is very clear and organized. They’re in Australia and we’re in Canada, but you can’t tell. They’re quick to reply to every email and Slack. We have a monthly phone call with them, and they email us weekly and monthly reports. They’ve been very good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a smaller team, so they definitely spend more time and attention on our brand. We’ve worked with really big agencies in the past, and we’d often be passed around to different account leads who didn’t know our product. Even though we’ve had a couple of changes to account managers, they all already know our account because the team is small and super keen to being on top of it. They make an effort for all of them to be on calls. When we do a video call, there are often 3–4 people on it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Every time we ask for a change in reporting or any kind of improvement, they do it right away. There aren’t any gaps that I see in working with them.

Any advice for potential customers?

Have a really clear understanding of what your goals are.

Prior to engaging Farsiight, we split our team into specialised roles (SDRs, AEs & CSM) so the goal of the Google Ads campaigns was to increase the number of qualified conversations our SDRs were having each month.

I had a prior working relationship with one of the founders and engaged them because of their specialisation and track record with other SaaS companies.

We were at ground zero for Google Ads and Display marketing so the initial part of the project was to build these campaigns from the ground up and launch. From that point forward, the directive to the team was to continue to scale up provided the CPA was on/under target.

What was the team composition?

Whilst Ben (one of the directors) was our main point of contact, we also worked in with Josh (other director & head of growth) and his team. Everyone who was assigned to our account was a respective expert in their field.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our goal in this project was to drive leads at or below our target CPA and enough volume to supplement our SDRs outbound efforts. Farsiight was able to quickly achieve this and the directive changed to scaling up the campaigns. As a result of their early efforts and our ongoing engagement with Farsiight, we are now able to lean on Google Ads as a reliable source of MQLs month on month for our SDRs. Worth noting that these are converting through to SQLs at a healthy rate.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

This is an area where Farsiight really shines. They created a group slack channel with our team and integrated this with their project management software. This created a live feed of events which gave us complete transparency over what was being done on a daily basis and made back and forth communication super easy. They act as though they are apart of the team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

There were a few concerns I had with engaging an agency vs. hiring someone in house namely the level of understanding of our SaaS, responsiveness and speed of execution. Farsiight over-delivered on all of these fronts.

The entire team we worked with deep dived into our SaaS at the start and continued to immerse themselves in our solution throughout the engagement. We spoke with them most weeks often daily via slack, had weekly meetings and they moved fast to push out campaigns without sacrificing the quality of work.

We had a large Google Ads account because we service many different professions and in different geographic locations. Farsiight approached us after finding out that we were looking for someone to help with our PPC advertising. We had a couple of interviews and then they reviewed our account and provided suggestions. What challenge were you trying to address with Farsiight?

We didn’t have any digital marketing to speak of whatsoever. It was a hole that we needed to fill. We needed a partner that understood that digital marketing isn’t in our wheelhouse.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Farsiight focuses on Facebook Ads, Instagram, and Google Ads but they also improve our website for conversions. While their team mostly manages paid advertising, they also manage SEO services for us. Farsiight makes sure that we show up where we need to show up. Their team makes sure that all pieces of our digital marketing strategy are working together to maximize results for us. They direct digital marketing to improve the overall functionality and growth of our company.

What is the team composition?

We typically speak with two people from Farsiight. We’ve spoken with up to four individuals but two of their team members are our main points of contact. There are a couple of other people that work in the background.

How did you come to work with Farsiight?

Initially, we hired a Shopify expert to code and make our website work as well as it could. We worked with him for a long time so when we knew that we were in a place to hire a digital marketing company, we reached out for recommendations. We interviewed six different companies before we made our final decisions and ended up going with Farsiight.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $25,000–$30,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Farsiight in September 2019 and work with them on an ongoing basis.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The most important result to address is the mostly recurring revenue (MRR) that we’ve experienced since working with Farsiight. Before we hired Farsiight, our average MRR was about $486. We've increased that average to $80,000 since bringing their team on board. We’re looking at an MRR growth of 16,400%. Being a small business, the awesome part for us is that we’ve managed to remain profitable. On average, we experience a 300% ROI.

How did Farsiight perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a weekly call with the project manager. They’re incredibly communicative, detailed, and punctual. They’re thorough and never make us feel rushed. There are a lot of metrics that we might not necessarily grasp right away, and Farsiight takes the time to answer all of our questions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re kind people who execute their work thoroughly. At every weekly meeting, their team provides detailed reports so that we can see metrics and view processes behind the scenes. They give examples of best performing ads as well as ads that aren’t performing well to go through with us so that we can understand our performance. From there, we can improve our content. I can't say enough nice things about them. They blow me away as human beings, project managers, and as a company. I don’t know how to adequality put into words, how impressed I am with Farsiight.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve already put processes in place to improve our visibility into the ads and copy that go out. We wanted to see the copy sooner so that we can give a bit more feedback on our end. Now, the content goes through a three-step process to make sure that we’re on board with the wording or can provide final tweaks before it hits the website.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

At first, the price point is hard for a lot of people to digest when it comes to digital marketing, especially if you’re a small company like us. We held off a lot longer than we should've because we didn’t know if digital marketing was a worthwhile investment. Do your research. We interviewed six different companies and set aside a certain amount of funds to use for dabbling in these services. Also, know that it will take time to see results, build traction, and get a good idea of areas for improvement.

Our organization TruckIt.net is a freight marketplace. Basically, we’re a matchmaking service between consumers looking to move products with providers of transport services.

We were looking to increase revenue and profit through paid search campaigns.

Farsiight had a broad range of knowledge and came in with a good experience level that exceeded our abilities with paid search. They understood the marketplace which isn’t a typical e-commerce store. Their team understood the challenges of bringing the two sides of the market together to actually make a transaction. They analyzed and identified points to turn our business around quickly. Now, Farsiight runs all of our paid campaigns and comes up with ideas. In particular, their team has supported our Google AdWords and BingAds efforts.

We operate in a similar industry as some of their other clients. They identified us as a business that their team could help so Farsiight approached us. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Farsiight has been great. Their team was able to grow our business with their range of experience. We’ve measured all of our return on ad spend using standard tracking tools such as Google Analytics and Google AdWords. Our goal has been to profit as well as to grow and the results of their efforts have been very good.

How did Farsiight perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve used the phone, face-to-face meetings, and instant messaging tools to communicate. It has been easy to get a hold of the Farsiight team. They've always picked up the phone when I’ve called. Their team has come up with suggestions, so we don’t need to drive them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re good people. When I made the decision, it was more about the people than knowing their ability. The two founders—who we originally engaged—are top people. They were aligned with my perspectives beyond the PPC campaigns. Their team has been motivated about growing their own business as well, so they’ve been a good fit.

No, certainly not at this stage.
