BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the project manager for worldwide well-known manufacturing company. We service different type of clients from green energy to food-producing manufacturers.

For what projects/services did your company hire Fabrity?

Construction and commissioning completely new production line for electric motors. New visual system was needed to help and present production workers how to assembly implemented products.

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

We have considered multiple IT Solution suppliers, looking at their services, discussed timelines and price, we chose this company based on previous experience(completed projects on time), good reputation and co-operation history, also price level was one of the biggest factors. Offer was fulfilling all our requirements. Fabrity is very open and flexible to cover all possible demands from the customer side.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

This team is responsible for new browser based dynamic visual system, which is showing some specific data on the workstation for the production workers. Data is created and stored at servers, application/database support is also a part of project.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our main contact was account manager but there were also 4 other people involved: app. analyst; two developers/programmers - one Senior .NET programmer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

Implemented solution decreased line operation time on the workstation - assembly takt time was reduced by 50%. Production worker's feedback was very positive, all necessary information was delivered on time. Functionality of the tool is proven and appreciated. We plan to extend some functionalities based on new ideas. Further co-operation expected.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had standard twice-a-week meetings, to monitor action timeline/status. Some unexpected cases were discussed immediately as a separate meetings. After each delivered action package UAT(user acceptance tests) were performed for final approval. Reported incidents were corrected with highest priority. Communication both sides from Fabrity team to our team was very clear and effective.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Flexible team, open-minded people you can rely on them, focused on delivery all customer requirements, they never say no, they are looking for alternative cheaper/optimum solutions. Professionals.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Fabrity was very flexible, and they recommended some new ideas to assure project consistency. It took some time, to have every our request discussed and placed on the signed by both sides action list/mocap's.
