I’m the CEO of a luxury eyewear brand that produces products in limited quantities.

What challenge were you trying to address with FAB Web Studio?

We needed help to modify our direct-to-consumer Shopify website. We also had some designs that we needed to implement as a luxury brand, so we wanted a partner who could take our materials and do pixel-perfect implementations.

What was the scope of their involvement?

FAB Web Studio is coding and implementing our material to our website. To jumpstart the project, we sent them a full spec of what we were looking for, including design files and written material for all of the tasks.

What is the team composition?

We’ve been working with three members of their team, including a project manager and a couple of developers.

How did you come to work with FAB Web Studio?

We submitted an RFP on Upwork, and they reached out to us. After interviewing several agencies, we decided to work with them based on the ease of communication — their English is great, even though they’re based overseas. We also liked their portfolio work, and they seemed like they could solve the technical objectives we wanted to address. Overall, they met all of the criteria we wanted, and we felt that they’d be the ones to go with.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $10,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t have numbers now, but everything has been working as it needed to; we’ve had incredible growth on our website this year, and I can attribute part of that to the work that FAB Web Studio did.

How did FAB Web Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great with project management; their team has been very comfortable and effective with the tools we use, and they’re also good at reporting the work they do daily. In terms of tools, we use Slack, Figma, and Asana to communicate, track statuses, and share designs with them.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

FAB Web Studio doesn’t hesitate in providing alternate solutions to help us achieve what we want instead of just doing what we asked them to — they let us know if there are better ways to do something and propose it to us. Overall, they don’t just check the boxes off; their team is really trying to help us find long-term scalable solutions to our problems.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The first part of the project took a little bit longer than we expected for it to be done, but that was due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other things that are totally understandable. Besides that, I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — everything’s been great.

Any advice for potential customers?

Have a clearly defined business goal of what you’re trying to achieve and have an open conversation with them about the best approach to reach that goal. Treat them as a partner instead of just a tool, and once you do that, respect them so you can do great things collaboratively.

Our company is a web design and development agency that produces high quality websites for small & medium enterprises. I am the founder.

We searched online for wordpress developers with particular experience on specific wordpress plugins and we liked their attention to detail in the submission and their fair pricing structure.

We outlined the modifications we needed help with for the Sportspress plugin to adapt sport specific requirements to our installation. There were able to identify our issues and fixed the problem first time, exactly as we wanted.

We worked solely with Naveen. He was very helpful, clear and accurate with all his communication and the work was done to a very high standard and on time and budget every time.

The work they carried out was essential to our website launching on time and within the budget. This would not have happened without their support.

We mainly used instant messaging services to communicate but also had regular zoom video call check-ins which allowed us to create a relationship and grow trust.
