NPI required a platform to help manage the relationships between our vendors and our customers. Exquisite Software helped with consulting and walked us through our options relating to developing our platform.

The platform allowed for clear communication directly between teams and has completely increased our teams efficiencly. We wanted to find a complete, robust team that would be able to create a scalable solution.

As well as UI/UX design, we needed iOS, Android, and backend developers. It can be a challenge to recruit all those individuals in-house and finding a team with this degree of cross-platform experience is also not straightforward.

We looked at the portfolios of various organizations and their existing projects criteria. As they had a clear history and communicated a good understanding of what we needed at an affordable rate, we chose Exquisite Software to help build our platform.

We began with a consultation, building out our initial requirements, and moved into designing the interface. Exquisite Software provided high fidelity prototypes of the platform allowing us to have a clear picture of what was being built from a visual stand point.

Development began in parallel with the design and each week we were able to learn from the progress, identify risks and reprioritised as necessary. Our platform was developed in ASP.NET and is hosted on Azure. The platform is now running and has been running stably and adding efficiency to our workflow.

Exquisite Software's extensive knowledge, affordable price, and fast delivery was very impressive.

We were extremely happy and feel that Exquisite Software is a very client facing company.

We needed a software package to allow flight tour operators the ability to quickly download videos, sell an access code to customers, upload to social media servers, and track invoicing and uploads per customer.

Exquisite was willing to work with us through the creative process, helping shape the requirements and adjust things as testing progressed. They also provided ongoing support at a reasonable rate.

The software combined various features such as USB flash drive file downloads, drive formatting, end-customer Kiosk-like interface for selection of video clips and sale of video/photo packages. Upon sale of videos, the software uploaded the selected video clips to YouTube and provided customers with a unique 4-character access code to retrieve videos. It also created customer-branded microsites for access to the purchased video clips. The software also included utilities to manage USB flash drives.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The deliverables were up to expectations in most regards. We didn't understand how difficult Google is to work with, and had problems with upload token limits. As a small business this is a problem that would make the software difficult to scale. On the other hand, it was not the fault of Exquisite, and they did provide some support to increase our Youtube quotas.

They used collaboration tools such as Teamviewer and Skype to stay in touch. Communication was pretty decent.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Typical small business attitude - They were willing to help out and be flexible without charging an arm and a leg for an unending requirements phase up front. Jumped right in.

Not at this time.

We interview several possible candidate for the project Stephan and his team had worked on a similar application so they seemed to have the skill-set and their cost were within budget.

After reviewing the needs of our project, Exquisite Software put together an outline of key milestones and dates. An estimate of the project cost was based off that outline. Stephan and his team were able to meet cost and time goals at every turn and we gave them a lot of turns.

Stephan was our point person and the main developer.

An estimate of the project cost was based off the outline. Stephan and his team were able to meet cost and time goals at every turn and we gave them a lot of turns. As the project developed we were constantly adding features and logging reports. Exquisite Software did not disappoint.

Most communications were done over Skyoe and email. The team was always quick to respond and are able to execute new variables in the project.

Their ability to be flexible in our changing needs of the project.

Perhaps in their desire to expedite the changes we requested there was the rare bug in the application. These were always quickly remedied.

We hired them to develop and deliver a mobile application which they did not do.

We looked through their reviews but didn't notice that most of them were fabricated, including one that uses our company name.

Stephan was to build a mobile application by May 30th. We are 3 months late with no access to the application yet.

Worked with him and his girlfriend. He kept saying he has brought in developers from well known companies to work on the project, only to find out he is a one-man shop juggling multiple projects.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcome is that it's been 3 months since the estimated day of delivery with no beta or access to any code. Stephan completely ghosted and is not picking up his phone, nor replying to emails or text.

They have picked up the phone only THREE times this year.

• 1st time; When we didn't see any movement in February and were wondering what is going on.
• 2nd time; The day of the given day of delivery, when he gave a rude remark with no apologies and proof of work done so far.
• 3rd time: on Thursday when he said we will have the beta today instead completely ghosted and now his girlfriend is our point of communication. He left our in-house developer in the dark on the progress and still is.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive this about this company is how they are still in business with the terrible service they give.

Wow.. everything needs to be improved.

After reviewing the initial prototype with testers, we delivered the requested modifications to Exquisite Software and less than a week they had the updated ready for us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Each meeting both parties took diligent notes on requested modifications to the prototype to ensure that the finished product could be finished in a timely manner. We were able to communicate via email and text for any clarifications

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Despite having to create many screens and orchestrate multiple pathways, the communication between teams allowed the job to be done in an efficient manner. Their design and input to the prototype were attractive.

We would first like to apologize for the negative experience that you felt you’ve had, and can also understand your frustration. As business owners, we completely understand the importance of having a functional platform to build your brand.
 
Secondly, we would like to address some of your claims:
 
1. You have had nearly daily communication through Slack and Email, and we have responded to well-over 100 emails, 50 phone calls, and 1,000's of messages on Slack.
 
You have demanded that we respond immediately to all requests, which we are unable to do while ensuring our other clients’ receive the focus they deserve.
 
2. You claim that you gave us any equity; however, you refused to sign all equity agreements. We continued to work with you, even without the agreements being signed until the day you terminated the contract.
 
3. The estimated delivery date for the MVP application was set to 05/18, and you opted for the Full Suite Application which had an original estimated delivery date of 07/01. As you requested additional functionality, and agreed to the adjusted estimated delivery date of 7/19.
 
4. You have claimed that our reviews are fictitious, including the one which was previously left by you; however, all reviews have been verified by Clutch. Furthermore, you made the additional claim that you were unaware of this review, but within a day of us mentioning it to you, changes were made, removing the specific statements mentioned on the phone.

Their professionalism stood out, and as an on-shore development firm that was located within a mile from our office, we found it was a no brainer!

We initially started with Exquisite Software by using them as a consultant to help with the product roadmap, specifications, and designs of the application. They immediately made us feel that they had our best interest in mind and wanted our project to succeed and scale. They informed us of the options we had and helped us shape our ideas.

Once the ideas had been laid out into the specification, they immediately, begun work on the design and prototype. The designs turned out fantastic and incorporated a modern design with a very quick turnaround. 



During each step of the way, we were included, and had the final say in what was accepted or rejected, and helped by their team to ensure the steps and concepts were well understood so we were able to make the right decisions.



After we approved the design and were happy with the prototype, they helped us create a landing page, helped with a marketing strategy, and started work on the mobile and web applications.



During the development of the application, they sent us continual updates that performed well, took our feedback and ensured it was incorporated into the application very quickly. 

When we were completely satisfied with the outcome of the application and their team had performed QA on the application, they handled the submissions to the app stores for us.

They continue to support and maintain the application, handling our own internal requests, while also periodically reviewing the store's reviews, supporting our users, and creating new roadmap ideas based on our user's feedback. Our users have continually said positive things about the application's design, functionality, and the support they receive.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Stephan [CEO, Exquisite Software] designed software to improve efficiency. It helps patients get from one page to another, and improves the readability of our reports. He synced all of our devices to our server through this software. We can see the actions that each device performs, and review all of the information they test. Stephan took all of our suggestions and did almost exactly what we wanted.

Stephan gave us specific timelines and payment schedules, and accomplished everything he promised on schedule. Our software is now fully updated and used by all of our devices. Everything is smooth sailing since its implementation.

I interacted only with the team manager, Stephan. We communicated via phone and email, and occasionally in person.

Before we implemented Exquisite’s changes, our software sometimes confused our patients, and we received a high volume of issue reports. Now we don’t get any. Exquisite streamlined the design, and the user experience is much clearer and more efficient. They resolved everything, even issues we hadn’t noticed. Now, our customer support team explains how to use the software instead of how to fix it.

How did Exquisite Software perform from a project management standpoint?

Stephan was incredibly responsive, even outside of business hours. He responded to calls or emails almost immediately, and communication was great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are better than most of the companies we evaluated, and their cost was competitive. Stephen made us feel incredibly comfortable with him, his company, and the work. He stuck to the timeline and demonstrated a good understanding of our needs. He also gave us great ideas that we’ve implemented, to incredible success.
