Website Dev & Logo Design for Security Services Company
"Once I got involved with Exposyour, I didn’t have to look to anybody else for comparison."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the owner and CEO of DNP Investigation and Security Services, located in Washington, D.C. We service the district of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
Our company is responsible for security officers, private investigators, event staffing, concierge services, and transportation safety. We’re glad to add in a COVID-19 response team that monitors temperatures and conducts overall safety procedures as dictated by the World Health Organization.
What challenge were you trying to address with Exposyour™?
As a young entrepreneur and business person, I had to address the developmental challenges that I might face with regard to marketing. In our industry and in our area alone, there are over 75,000 security companies all doing and promising the same thing, so I wanted to show what would make my company unique from others.
I needed someone to listen to what I was trying to do, what type of clientele I was trying to attract, and how I was willing to develop my business going forward. I hired Exposyour to help individualize us from the competition and achieve visibility online through a certain design for my company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Exposyour began by looking at the top companies in our area and gave their opinion about what set us apart in terms of color, presentation, and even wording or terminology, which can often become cliche.
They then talked to me about what I was looking for and what different services I should look into, like direct mailing. Being a new business, we also had to do a lot of cold-calling, which the team offered as well.
We’ve worked together to let my clients know that I was there for them and that I was thankful that they chose us through what some people call ‘business giveaways’. These are small rewards like crystals, pins, or greeting cards.
Their team also aided us in designing the company logo. They assisted us with the color concept of our marketing materials, which was important in attracting the eyes of our viewers, especially as some people don’t have the time to read a three-fold pamphlet. Using their business knowledge, Exposyour worked to bring our viewer’s attention to the printed information about our company, the numbers, and the services we provide.
Right now, as we try to develop our most current website, the team is addressing all the same challenges surrounding what makes us different and how we can make ourselves better. Back in 2009, a lot of people were still using desktops, but Exposyour was at the cutting edge and made sure that everything was ready for mobile integration. In the future, we’re looking at app development as well.
What is the team composition?
There are about 4–5 individuals assigned to my project.
How did you come to work with Exposyour™?
I was providing safety services for restaurants and venues in downtown D.C. when I noticed that a lot of their marketing was coming from a particular agency, Exposyour. I checked out the promotional fliers and websites of their clients and loved the color and the print.
One day, I was able to meet the owner of the company. I felt like I was talking one-on-one with a person and not a business owner. They were able to relax my nerves, assuring me that they could get things done and that I would be in the control room with them to make sure everything was okay. That was one of their great selling points, so I decided to work with them.
How much have you invested with them?
Over the years, we’ve spent close to $40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership is still ongoing. We started our relationship with Exposyour back in February 2009.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Exposyour has definitely set us apart from our competitors; I noticed that we’ve had an increase in revenue owing to their team’s support. They’ve not only helped us gain clients but also showed us how to retain them through constant communication, reminders, and loyalty rewards.
How did Exposyour™ perform from a project management standpoint?
They performed excellently from a project management standpoint. Exposyour made the transition and the process easy for me. They didn’t just take my money while I waited for the product to be finished; they’ve involved us every step of the way, asking for my suggestions and exchanging opinions with me.
The team has me on the message board and lets me know, through phone calls and video conferences, what’s going on or what the next level of attention is being put into a project. They’re very timely and always complete the project days ahead of the deadline.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Once I got involved with Exposyour, I didn’t have to look to anybody else for comparison. The work that they do and their responsiveness, communication, and integrity have not made me want to look somewhere else or check another company’s rates.
The one-on-one relationship that we’ve gotten from them has made us feel like we’re the only company they’re dealing with. We’ve never gotten the impression that they couldn’t do something for us. Whenever I try to speak to their manager, I am never put on hold; they’re always available to answer my questions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think they could’ve done anything differently. They are based in California but their presence online and speaking through the phone makes them seem not as far away. However, they could send a representative to check up on me and the business.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a realtor and own my own business. I’ve been in business for about six years.
What challenge were you trying to address with Exposyour?
I wanted to set my website apart from other realtors. There are a lot of companies that built realtor websites, but it’s all very cookie-cutter. I wanted something that was more unique because I do things more uniquely than most realtors.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Exposyour asked me to send some examples of other realtor websites that I liked and then they incorporated that with my personality. They took a lot of time getting to know me, how I work, and how I do business so that my website would reflect who I am. They built the website from scratch. I had a free website previously, and I told them what I liked about it, which wasn’t much. I currently use them for blogging on a monthly basis and that’s incorporated into the website.
What is the team composition?
My personal interaction is with Jamal (CEO & Founder) and one other person, but from my understanding, there are more people working behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with Exposyour?
I found them through my interaction with Jamal at a Chamber of Commerce. He’s quite active with networking and doing what he can to help others and that really turned me on to him and his business. He did pro bono work for the first chamber that I met him at, helping them grow their outreach in order to grow members. Not a lot of companies are willing to give their time, and he did that, and that was very impressive to me. He walks the walk and talks the talk and that really means a lot to me because that’s who I am.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, I’ve invested about $11,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We first began working together in April 2019 and the relationship is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Whenever I get a new client, I ask them what made them choose me and an overwhelming number of them say it’s because of my web presence. They said that when they met me in person and saw me online, it was exactly the same thing. To me, that is the best review I could get.
How did Exposyour perform from a project management standpoint?
We’re in contact through phone and email. They shared the site mockup with me through Hightail for me to review. Everything is delivered on time and anytime there was a delay, it was because of me.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Exposyour’s ability to identify what my needs are and fulfill them is pretty impactful. The fact that they listen to me and were able to turn that into a vision is above what a lot of people can do. They were more about creating a website to fit not only my needs but also to project me out into the public when I can’t physically talk to every single person. It was an extension of who I am and other companies that I looked into didn’t do that.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there is nothing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The more you’re able to identify what you want to get out of them, the more it’ll help everyone to be successful. If you don’t really know what you want out of it, it’s going to be very hard for them to be able to deliver.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the director of sales and marketing at a hotel that is part of a larger chain of properties across the country.
What challenges were you trying to address with Exposyour?
There was a corporate initiative to adopt a new customer experience model to showcase the other properties. The request from the corporate office was to put a computer in the lobby of the hotel that would allow people to come in and connect to an internet portal. There, users would be asked a series of questions about their likes, dislikes, etc. And from there, it would create a profile to recommend the next hotel.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They helped us design and execute this experiential marketing campaign. We created a pod in our hotel lobby where guests could sit down and take the computer quiz. Exposyour also created floor gels that directed people to the pod.
What is the team composition?
My primary point of contact was Jamal (CEO & Founder), but two other people also helped with this project.
How did you come to work with Exposyour?
Jamal and I are both members of a professional club. We were at a conference, and I was talking to him about my business challenge, and he offered a solution.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent around $100,000 or so.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in mid-2016. After this first project was completed, I continued to work with Exposyour until I left the company in July 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The pod was so successful that two other hotels ended up adopting our idea, and I referred Exposyour to them. Their overall approach was very consultative, which I appreciated. They care about the user experience.
How did Exposyour perform from a project management standpoint?
The process was consultative and collaborative. We never ran into any delays as a result of Exposyour. There were a few setbacks, but those were related to purchase order processing time or other unforeseen changes. Everyone spoke highly of the responsiveness and professionalism of the team. They delivered work on time and under budget.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The way that they approach problems and make proposals is impressive. I try to model my behavior and approach after them now.
Working with them is a true partnership.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not at this time.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don’t wait, call them now.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of operations at a fully-fledged security company that does personal protection for celebrities, athletes, food chains, retail stores, politicians, and restaurants.
What challenge were you trying to address with Exposyour?
We needed help with branding.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Exposyour designed our business cards, logo, and patches for our uniforms. They gave us a lot of ideas and different ways to execute our brand We had several conversations in order for them to get a vision of our logo. They also give us ideas on what to do with our website, in terms of having pictures of our actual staff on the website.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Jamal (CEO) and one other person.
How did you come to work with Exposyour?
Another company recommended Jamal to me. I checked out their work and it was very detailed. I reached out and started talking to them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent less than $3,000–$4,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2020, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The logo came out great and now more people want to buy our security services. Exposyour nailed it. Branding is important in any industry, and now customers recognize us by our logo.
How did Exposyour perform from a project management standpoint?
We kept in touch via email, text, and phone calls. I’m a firm believer in getting on the phone and Jamal was very receptive. He was great about calling me back and getting the job done.
What did you find most impressive about them?
While they were designing the logo, they gave us three options. I insisted that it needed to be precisely what we envisioned and I asked for at least 5–6 adjustments. Jamal and his team were very patient with us and getting things exactly where we wanted. They made sure the logo was detailed, not generic.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they’re pretty solid in all of the areas, in terms of providing companies with whatever they need. Even though they didn’t end up making our website, the site options they showed us were very nice, too. We just couldn’t afford it at the time.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was working with a results tracking software solution for fitness professionals.
What challenges were you trying to address with Exposyour?
We hired them for design services for our software product.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They provided graphic design and UX/UI design services. We sat down, and I provided them with drawings and mockups I’d created. We brainstormed, and they came up with a cohesive look and feel.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Jamal (CEO & Founder), but there was a larger team behind him. He acted as our main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Exposyour?
I’ve had a long relationship with Jamal. We’ve worked on other design projects together.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent somewhere between $1,500–$3,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I believe we worked together from June–August 2016. The project took about 6–8 weeks.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We used the designs that they created in the final product. Their work had a big impact, and having them partnered with us was a huge timesaver.

They’re a team of trusted professionals. They make sure their customers’ needs are met on time. We worked collaboratively to outline the project, and they ensured that they got our approval for everything.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have great principles and strong business ethics. Jamal cares about making his customers happy.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, nothing comes to mind. They’re thorough, and their communication is strong. They’re good about making sure everyone is on the same page.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Try to pin down exactly what you want before you approach them. Get really specific with your goal, so they can have a clear understanding of what to deliver. It’s also helpful to engage with them throughout the process and play an active role in the design process.
