I’m the senior engineering manager of Heritage Distribution Holdings, a rapidly growing HVAC/R distributor in the US. We partner with local businesses to provide comprehensive supply chain solutions and exceptional service for customers, employees, and suppliers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Exodata?

We needed help re-architecting our Azure environment and doing a full physical network refactor across 100+ locations.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Exodata has designed and implemented a scalable, secure, and well-architected Azure environment, including security, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), monitoring, analytics, and budget controls. Additionally, the team has refactored our network in 100+ locations, removing old networking equipment and installing a brand-new stack, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and cameras.

We’ve worked with 10–15 teammates from Exodata.

Someone referred Exodata to me. I chose them over other options because they had high ratings, a great culture fit, and aligned with my values.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Exodata in January 2025, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Exodata has successfully failed over locations to the new networking stack. The team has also provided a new Azure environment for our employees and developers to use without issues. We’ve seen 90% fewer outages due to redundant backups, faster speeds thanks to new Cat-6 cables, and modern networking equipment. Additionally, we have full stack visibility, so if tickets are submitted for issues on-site, our team can remotely diagnose issues 80% quicker.

How did Exodata perform from a project management standpoint?

Exodata is very communicative and professional. The team meets every deadline. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Exodata’s white-glove approach is impressive. No matter how things change or adjust on our end, they always pick up the slack and ensure we meet our deadlines without impacting our business.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for Exodata to improve.
