OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

Why does your firm need back office services? Did you use to handle these needs in-house?

Managing the sometimes complex needs of international transactions makes it a useful option to have someone with both accounting expertise as well as international transaction services.

What types of work can your internal staff avoid by utilizing a back office service?

Some administrative, billing, and payment processes have been achieved through the use of EXL's services.

What challenge were you trying to address with the service provider?

Expanding our market while having a built-in mechanism dedicated to an effectively borderless client base shapes our needs.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of the service provider's involvement?

They manage international billing and accounting services and have other options that prove useful on occasion.

Could you describe the service provider's pricing structure and how they billed you?

I'm not as familiar with this as others who deal with them on an executive level.

How did you come to work with this service provider?

They came from a networking referral.

How would you assess the service provider's ability to turn around quality work quickly, their client service, and communication.

I'm certain there are other services that are equal to EXL, but our experiences have been largely positive and have been helpful in achieving our goals and vision casting.

How much time and money does this service provider save you each month?

I think it's about $5,000 monthly.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What takeaways and measures of success can you share about working with this service provider?

We have had a few international clients that return over and over again based on our ability to meet their needs and EXL's ability to manage billing issues. The primary con is turning over something that has been largely an in-house process, but the end result has been very positive.

What are the service provider's strengths?

Customer care and exceeding our expectations.

What areas can the service provider improve?

Perhaps some peripheral learning modules, webinars, or conference call training. I don't expect it to be free, but this would be a great value-added benefit.

How long has your company been working with this service provider?

We started in June 2015 and as of August 2017, it's still ongoing.

How much money do you spend annually with this service provider?

We spend $5,000 to $9,999 per year.
